My husband is in Southland Healthcare and Rehab. The nurses take good care of him, and he's happy. They keep the residents from running away, and everybody there seems to be reasonably happy. Some of them sit outside on the porch and talk to the people who come through the door. His room is adequate with a bathroom and sink, cabinets and so on. I wasn't able to get him some things so they were given to him until I was able to replace them. The staff keeps his catheter clean all the time. I wasn't able to get him pants when we had relatives coming over to visit, so the nurse went and got him a pair from the laundry. I would recommend them.

I understand during this time of COVID-19. We are not allowed to visit family but at least talking to over the phone will help in the recovery process of our love ones no one is answering the phone lines and they said he's in a room by himself but if that's the case I want to know I how did?? He catch COVID?? And why won't anyone answer the phone's? If it was so secure. The family is apart of the healing process is their any one in there (building).

My sister was at Southland Healthcare & Rehab Center. The rooms were worse than the place where she was at. Everything's falling apart. They didn't have enough staff. There were several patients down a room, which was at the end of a hallway. It's got glass and it was awful. There were spider webs and dust all around the windows, and I was turned off pretty quickly. I was in that little room and the residents were in there too long before anybody would come in. Somebody should be coming in periodically to see what's going on with them. I don't think it's the best place to be.
