I know that every facility has its problem but this is one of the best facility in Decatur. The staff really tries hard to please everyone even with the nursing shortage that is currently sweeping the country. My brother had a car accident and could not walk broke many bones but I am happy to say that with the nursing staff and therapy he was able to walk out of there 100% better than when he came in. I am grateful for everyone that works there, the place is clean and there are no odors. the building is accessible to marta, they have a great wound team, they even have a wound np that visit weekly. the activity department is great it is always something to do there, the food is really good I have heard about issues in the pass but I think they have resolved that they have rn/lpn and cna's that are really good with the patient especially the staff on short term unit. the facility needs more renovation some rooms are great while others still need repair. sometimes the cable don't work but the maintenance men are really good about fixing things.

Rooms are not clean Food is not fit for dogs Some staff are caring, others are just there for a paycheck Administration only cares about money Residents are not groomed, no hair cuts, nails do not get cut, skin is like that of alligators, no lotion or cream used. Food is put down, no one really cares if the individuals eat or not. Just the most horrible experience.

If I could give it no stars, I would! This place is filthy and unworthy to care for loved ones. They did not take care of my elderly relative and the fed him poorly. The conditions are deplorable and the staff is pitiful.

I recently visited this facility, & and the staff was actually pretty amazing. There was a long wait due to a lot of people being there and seemed like there wasn’t enough employees but the lady at the front desk , she was making time go by , having conversations , making me laugh, I enjoyed the coffee she offered . Really sweet young lady . The residents seem to really like her , overall it was a pretty good experience . I’m not sure how yall have her doing all that work though . She handles it pretty well though .

This is not a place for your family member. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. My husband was only there for one night and it was the worst experience of his life. He was placed in a diaper even though he was fully capable of going to the restroom. He was placed in a room with a person who had severe emotional issues that was also known to be violent even though my husband was only there for rehab after knee surgery. We were warned by the patient's own brother that he was violent and we needed to be careful what we say around him. When I asked for my husband to be moved fearing for his safety, I was told no other rooms were available. He was not able to call for aid when he needed it because the button to do so was placed out of reach. My husband called me for assistance. He had to be removed the next day by ambulance and readmitted to the hospital after I arrived the next morning to find his leg swollen twice it's size and running a severe fever all within 24 hours after being assaulted. When i arrived he was being moved to another room even though the day before I was told there weren't any. I had to call the ambulance myself to get him assistance and taken to Emory Midtown for readmission to deal with his medical concerns after an incident with the room mate. Please listen to my warning. Please rethink your decision in placing your loved one in this place. If you loved one is already a resident check on the constantly and unannounced.

My Mother spent a week in Emory Midtown, she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer that has metastasized, because of her age and the widespread cancer we were encouraged to send her to Rehab to build her strength for the journey ahead. Well, she arrived Monday midday, we got her settled and I left to carry my 85 year old Dad home. I circled back around 8p because you can't stay the night. When I got there my Brother had a disappointed look on his face as he shared having to wait for quite awhile to get someone to come in to help her with the bathroom, when I walked into the room the CNA (note-I'm also CNA certified), was pulling on the bedpan so of course I offered my help. She couldn't get the pan so lower the head of the bed back so fast without letting my Mom know her move, placing an arch in my Mom's back that made her cry in pain....not one I'm sorry from her, she just pulled that pan and then seen to have attitude when I said something. I knew fresh out the gate that this was NOT the place, so Tues morning I discharged her, the administrator came off like switching over to home was going to be a problem because of insurance issues but neither her or anyone else asked for details as to why.....I've gotten everything lined up now for home rehab. I would say if you have to place a family member there check on um, check on um, check on um

Hello, I'm writing to warn future families to avoid having any of your family members sent to this Disgraceful place. My friend was sent here from the hospital. He has not received the service that he needs to help get well. The staff don't care for the patients unless you complain. Management need to clean house; and get people who want to work who cares about the patients. There are so many problems in the place. The food is terrible; you may get feed and you may not. The food is always cold and never brought to the patients room at a schedule time. My friend first day here didn't get anything to eat until 8pm. No breakfast, nor lunch. Thanks be to God that I picked up him something on the way over. He didn't get his medication for two days. He didn't get his room cleaned until I complained. Just a sorry bunch of staff. Nobody come to check on you. If any of your family are here; you needs to be sure to visit daily and bring them a good hot meal. In the last 5 days we are starting to get some of the service my friend needs, but we had to speak up, and speak out !!! There are a very few Nurses that seems to care about the patients and their job. Praise God for them !!! The State's needs to Investigate these nursing homes more regularly.

Pruitt Health - Decatur is doing a really great job. They are fantastic. Mom is OK with the food, and I like that they go down to fix Mom sandwiches. They have bingo and other very well-planned activities. The value for the money is outstanding. They have a garden with really nice landscaping. Overall, it is a very caring community from the caregivers to the residents. They are very warm with the residents and take very good care of my mother. We have a very comfortable relationship with them.

This place is horrible. I move my Mother to a different facility. The place was dirty and the staff is lazy. It is a shame they are allowed to stay in business.

I personal believe that this rehab place is far from a rehab, but a nursing home in sheep's clothing. My mother was brought there with acute breathing problems and they only checked her O2 three times a day, that is just crazy and lazy. After two weeks there my mother still could not put any weight on her feet and go to the bathroom, with help or by her self. after three weeks, she was pit out in the hall so that another client could get a simple bandage change, and the nurses didn't even connect her to the breathing machine so she could breath. We had to send her to a hospital, where she was so bad from mistreatment that she had to go onto a bi-pap machine for over a week, just to give her lungs the help they needed to breath. When we went to pick up her cloths, most of them were gone and these where XXXL shirts and pants. she was suppose to have 6 days a week PT, but when we looked at the master chart, there wasn't one note on that section of her chart for any work PT's.

We've been to PruittHealth, and we have had some several problems with regards to the facility. The staff was not quick to check on her, but the facility was fairly clean. They have a very huge parking lot. They only have a couple of elevators and one time, there are a lot of people in their wheelchairs which needs to get on and get off.
