I had knee replacement on the 15th. This was the 4 th surgery on my right knee and the 2nd one in 4 months. I was not comfortable going home. I went to Regency for 6 days. I had great care while I was there. Zack my weekend therapist really got me moving. The food was not like I cook at home but I didn't go hungry. I'm sure it's hard to cook for 100 people. I love my coffee and twice daily the made fresh folgers in the cafe. The staff made sure I got my coffee. Everyone was very perfessional. If you need care give them a try. God bless. And it's nice to have staff to pray for you.

I chose to attend Regency rehab based on my time there 5 years ago. went in with a stable fracture of femur, untrained staff turned it into very unstable fracture, took 45 minutes to get a nurse, to call EMS, had to have a 3 hour surgery to repair, still in wheelchair/walker. this rehab not trained to handle a fracture. I entered on a Friday, sent to the ER on Monday. Called for a pain pill Saturday evening, took 3 hours.PT tech did not read all of my diagnosis, only saw hip precautions, and exercised like I had a rod in, post surgery. CNA not trained to assist a fracture.Only go if you have family that is with you, and can make sure staff understands.

My brother was sent to regency park after he had a stroke in November of this year , the stork parlized his throat , he couldn't eat or drink anything for awhile. He is also a very bad diabetic was supposed to be on a stricken diabetic diet when he did get to eat again ( soft foods only) and nothing to drink unless it had a thinking substance in it, Myself and two of my daughters have P O A over my brother his mental status isn't good we tried to tell them not to let him eat and drink cause when he swollows it wasn't going to his stomach it was going to his lungs there for it would causfuild built up on his lungs. A Miss Johnson claimed he had a voice and had him sign a paper stating he understood things and he didn't . He can't read or write. We tried to tell them this for weeks , now he is up at Erlanger with hospice , he is really really bad shape his lungs was full of fluid when they finally got him to the hospital. And that Doctor they use at Regnecy is a total crackHe was in Hamilton Medical before going to regency so the Doctors orders were in his chart but regency choose to ignore everything. And his room was filthy , we wasn't allowed to bring anything in to clean or even any air freshener . Please don't put any one you care about in Regnecy Park I would advise you run not walk away as fast as you can. Because of them my brother is in so much worse shape.

I would RUN not walk to anywhere but this place. We've been to other rehabs in the past. The staff here- not everyone- but the ones who are generally in charge of my fathers care are mean, cruel and should not be working with the elderly or infirm. Actually, they probably shouldn't be working with people at all. I'm not exaggerating. I'm appalled by the way that they speak to him, their rough and unfeeling handling of him, and their pleasure at every opportunity at indignation. Can't wait to get him out of there.

My aunt was in Regency Park for two or three weeks. She was up there for therapy. The staff was fine. My aunt loved it. In fact, she wanted to stay there. She said if she wasn’t going home, she wanted to stay there. The atmosphere was nice, clean, and friendly. She was in a private room, and it was clean. It had a walk-in shower. She liked it.

My stepdad was recently sent tho Regency. This is the absolute worst place I have ever seen in my life. I work in the healthcare field. Families please! DO NOT send your loved ones here. They have given my stepdad medications that are clearly charted he's not suppose to have. The medications he was on previously, before his knee replacement, they are saying they don't havd and the Dr can't scrpit. What kind of Dr can't write a script? Seriously?! He has bed sores. The food is being served cold. He is not getting bathed hardly at all. I have filed s formal complaint with the State on this facility and have hired an attorney. If you want your loved ones to make it out alive... This is my the fscility you want to choose.

My dad was in a nursing home. He needed very specialized skilled nursing, the nurse we had was very good, and the doctor was very good. If my mother has to go to a nursing home, she will go to the same one he was in -- Regency. The facility was the nicest one in Dalton. It was very good.

Regency Park Health and Rehabilitation is fairly new. It's a brick building and it's a secure environment for Alzheimer's if need be, and 24-hour care. It's very nice, very neat, adequate for any age level who needs to be cared for. The staff I would say is all educated and professional in their field. They have activities administrator that offers all of the residents all kinds of activities for them to do. It all depends on whatever their situation is, but it's very good. I would recommend this place to others.

The staff seemed very friendly to the guests and the patients however. However, I do not feel like they kept a very good eye on the patients that were still mobile. Some patients repeatedly wandered into other patients rooms and seemed to have free range. The food was like hospital food. Wasn't anything to get excited about. Grandma asked us to bring her food from outside the hospital consistently. The facility was very clean though. I don't remember having any problems with cleanliness. It was also set up to have two guests per room, which made it feel very hospital like. I guess you can't really expect much out of a nursing home though.

My aunt had reached 94 years old and had previously had knee replacements and currently a broken upper extremity. This created difficulty for her family to take care of her at home any longer due to her lack of ability to use the arm for a walker to assist with ambulation. The facility had a great rehab staff that worked with her to help her be more functional. The cleanliness was fair. Like most facilities it had the smell of urine when you walked in the door. The nursing staff on my visits always seemed to be rushed and never have time to spend with the patients, and the young CNA's just didn't want to listen to the old people. They did have activities that were hit or miss with the patients. The lack of variety from month to month seemed rather boring.
