I flet that the rooms are in desperate need of updating. There was another patient his room with one TV. My loved one is non verbal and had no option of what he likes to watch nor did he have access to the remote. The food is pureed and he ate it for the most part. He was sent home with un-explained scrapes on his shins and knees. I still have not been given an explanation to this day. I am did not get a good impression of this facility. I was satisfied with his day CNA. I believe she goes by the name of Moe.

I have been here in Riverside Health Care Center for a couple of months now. It's pretty good. They treat me pretty good. We have a few bad apples; but the majority of the staff, they're usually really good. The rooms are nice. For the most part, from what I've seen, it's a pretty nice place. The staff are nice, and they do their job. I like most of the food. Some of them I don't care for, but I can also ask if I want to eat something different. I was staying at home and on hospice, but hospice didn't want me staying at home alone, and so they found Riverside Health Care Center for me. They kind of put me in this place because I really would not have come here (as this is far from where I was living), and people all seem to have a problem coming to see me. They have a few things they need to work on, but other than, it's a pretty good place. I would give the CNAs a rating of 3 because they really need to have some things they need to work out. I would also give the value for money a 1. I understand we have to pay, but they take all your money. All the senior citizens I'm pretty sure know that if you come in these places and you don't have insurance, you're going to have to give them all your money. I don't think you'll ever get a good rating on that one.

My parents are both patients here. They are not able to get out of the bed and evidently the staff feels like they have them over a barrel. They get very little assistance for anything, and when they ask for something, the nurses usually forget to bring it to them. I have called the nursing supervisor at least 5 times during the last 3 days and have yet to get a return phone call. When I call, if I get an immediate answer, they transfer me all around the building before I might get the right person. Blood work and a chest xray were ordered three days ago, but it still has not been done. Awful service - awful communication - awful phone etiquette. I even spoke to the administrator, but things still did not improve.

I wanted to share my experience with Riverside Healthcare. I came to visit a friend who had hip surgery and WOW such a change. The staff was friendly and helpful, everything was clean and my friend was very pleased with the rehab services. If you are looking for rehab in Covington, I would suggest checking them out.

A very dear friend of mine is currently in this place and is getting very bad care. No therapy at all and he has been there for 4 days so far. They also put a diaper on him granted he is unable to walk much but they should be checking i n on the patients more often. Just praying it changes and if not I will be visiting more often to make sure things are being done for him.

Amazing facility! There is new management in place and it is evident from the moment you enter the lobby! Ignore those negative reviews and visit and see for yourself! Very happy I did!!

My mother n law was placed at riverside nursing home for rehab. That was a good program. The physical therapy is good. She was getting up and going to bingo and church and bathed regularly. She was happy in rehab. After physical therapy ended so did the quality of care. She is no longer getting up. When she came she knew when she needed to use the restroom but they never came, they put diapers on everyone and make rounds every so often to change the diapers but won’t come help residents who call to go to the restroom. So she no longer try’s. She has dementia and needed to go to an appointment we were told to meet her at 9:00. We arrived at 8:30 to find her sitting alone in the middle of a waiting room slumped in her wheelchair. Transport will take them very early and leave them and the nursing home won’t call you to say they are going early. We would of left earlier if had any idea they’d leave her alone for an hour. Also they didn’t leave a number to call to have her picked up. We sat on the phone for a very long time trying to have her picked back up, it was hours. Nobody cared!

After the surgery on my neck, I stayed a couple of weeks at Riverside. I liked their rehab. They took care of me. In the daytime, we had a really nice nurse, but at night time it was not that great. I had problems with them. I had no reason to have a diaper on and they had a chair by the bed where I could have gotten up if somebody would have helped me, but they put on the diaper to keep from having to get up and put me off to bed. I told them, "Please take the diaper off and let me up". "You go right in that diaper. That's what its for". That's why I don't like that and I would not go back to Riverside.

Placed my mother at Riverside Health care for short term rehab following surgery, best decision I ever made. staff was very attentive to my mother and developed a relationship with her very quickly. I found the facility to be free of smells and it was always cleaned. mom stated to only thing wrong was that every time she turned around they were bring her food, she said food was good and plentiful. thanks riverside for making a hard decision easy

This facility often has a foul odor and the patients I have taken out of this center have complained of sub par food and unsatisfactory care. Although, I imagine most of this sentiment comes along with actually having to be there, I can't be sure. I can only go by what I am told.

It was not the best of facilities I absolutley felt sorry for the residents there, they wanted company from the cna's and nurses there and they were tjust too busy to spend 3 mins with them or just didnt care enough like I thought they should, I was fired for caring too much and visiting and caring about them that i didnt have enough time in the day to care for all 15 of my assisgned residents , worst case scenerio is that i missed bathing one because my shift was over but the next one come in which is night shift was too lazy to want to do it and complained so horribly about it that i was fired for showing too much attention to the residents, i know why i was fired but they didnt say it in those words exactly and for the most part, i know i never want any of my family and friends elderly to go to a nursing home or facility, as there are not cared for enough and only given whats needed to survive, change of clothes, a bath, meds and food with drink and they only have 15 mins to do that....its a rushed organization, well atleast it felt that way working there, they needed more cna's to accomodate the residents, 15 residents is too much when you have to change the beds with residents in them , bathe them, feed those that cant feed there selves , change diapers, assist in activity time and do it all again before the next shift, not to mention you have 15 minutes to do it all for each said responsibilty. Poor prople this is how we repay them and show our gratitude.....

I believe that Riverside is a good assisted livng provider. Riverside does a good job at keeping there facility clean. The staff are for the most part very friendly. Staff does need in my opion more training. The assisted living providers claim to have nurses on staff that will be taking care of your love ones. The staff do care about there patients, however training in patients basic first aid needs is a must and with the providers having CNAs and RNs these are simple and basic for them. Oxygen needs, and first aid training are highly needed for these staffs. Families place there loved ones in assisted living facilities because they do not have the training or the means to take care of them. Families simply want to know that there loved ones are safe and well taken care of. Riverside has done a great job with there security, placing cameras, and security pads at exits to protect the patients within the facilities. The dietary system they have in place is a great one. In conclusion Riverside is a good place to have loved ones attend

I visited Riverside Assisted Living Facility on Sat. Aug 6, 2011 around lunch time and I was pleased with the attention that the residents who needed assistance received. The staff was very attentinve and ensuring each residents ate the appropiate portion whether they were fed or self-fed. All the residents appeared to be happy, clean and enjoyed where they lived. I did visit a potential room for a loved one and I was pleased with the size and cleanliness of the facility. The staff was very freindly and knowledgeable of clients and the upcoming/ongoing activites. Thumbs up.
