Official Notice: I am going home on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. Today marks eleven weeks that I have been staying at The Manor. But the end is just days away. The people here have been very nice and really do care about their job and their patients. This is just one example of them doing something nice and unexpected. I overheard them ordering lunch and asked if I could order something too. I gave them my debit card. Instead of using it to buy my lunch, one of the managers paid for and delivered to my room this great meal. I'm relieved and excited to go home. I will miss the people here and strongly recommend the place for anyone needing Orthopaedic therapy after an injury.

My experience with this facility was extremely poor. Our relative was here for rehab, and was taken to the hospital several times. He was not well, and could barely speak and had a bad cough. His 02 levels dropped. Throughout his stay, it was impossible to help him. Due to covid, we had to rely on phone contact only. Nobody would ever call us back. When we did finally reach someone, they would say he was fine, when in fact he was not. He needed to be hospitalized. We could never get updates. Ultimately, he died, and they called my son and said he died. This was after no callbacks as we tried to get him help. I would not recommend this place for your loved ones.

If I could give a negative star times 10 I would do so. This place is an absolute joke. My relative was there for rehabilitation for less than a month and sadly is no longer with us. These people will tell you “Oh they are doing great” and be sent to the hospital the same day because they were seriously ill. And they will only tell you this IF you can get someone to answer the the phone number they provided you with. Don’t waste your time calling the additional numbers because they don’t answer their phone either! Oh and if you leave a message?!? At least one of the 10 messages you have left will be calling you back. AFTER the fact that person has passed away, and they try to connect You to their room!!! They are rude, unprofessional, and I am absolutely stunned that a healthcare facility that is so dirty has not been shut down. Please, Please look for another facility! This place is an absolute joke.

My grandmother was here for approximately 2 1/2 weeks for rehab following an illness. Some rooms are a little out dated. while other's or more modern. The facility is clean and never smelled. Some of the staff (cna's and lpn's) was not very friendly. I saw one of the CNA in an empty room sleeping. I saw some of my Grandmother's clothing on another resident. My grandmother was wet a lot and not changed. Though I was pleased with physical therapy efforts, I feel misled about her actual progress. I was told she was able to come home with minimal assistance, which was definitely not the case. I feel because her Medicare was ending, they wanted her out..

The place was not clean when I went to visit there would be half filled glasses sitting around, her bed was cleaned and she was clean. The thing that haunt me is my mother hated sports- HATED all sports. The last fee time I was able to see her , the remote would be behind her on a table and she could not raise her arms. So someone had to put it out of her reach, she was also abused by men her whole life. she had a male nurse , who liked to keep track of the basketball games. which was what her television was on every-time I went to see her. I didn't think that much about it at the time. Today it haunts me. she had buried two of her children and one grand daughter while she was there, imagine if you would please to know the only thing she had control of in her last few months of her life wad her television and that was taken away too. I regret so much her being there and the personal care i feel she was lacking. I can't do anything about that now but write this review.

My husband was a resident at muscogee manor for approx three months dementia/alzheimers.late stage, A staff that claims to now how to take care of patients with alzheimer in my opinion has no experience. Week two he was sent out to be evaluated because they didn't no how to take of,, week 6 sent out and week again on week 11.This clearly show that they don't no what dementia care is all about. Because they did not know how to take care of him they continued to send him out and later decided to Kick him out without notification.. During the three months that he was there he lost 20 pounds. He was hungry every day that I went to visit and I do mean approx everyday. The room stayed dirty, the restroom sink and comode was not functioning They had approx 6 CNA's trying to take care of 41 residents. They sent my husband to the hospital and would not take him back without notifying me, I leave this decision up to you if you want your love one to come to a place like this.

My Father, who also has dementia, fell and broke his hip. When he left the hospital after surgery, he was taken to another rehab besides Muscogee Manor, but he was re-injured there, and had to have a second surgery. When he left the hospital the second time, I chose Muscogee Manor for his rehab, and now his permanent home. I could not be happier! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate. The facility is clean. His clothes are laundered as soon as he takes them off, and back in his room right away! He is always clean, his room and bed are clean, and he seems content. I would highly recommend this facility for your loved ones, and believe me, I am VERY picky! :)

Columbus, GA is a rather large city, so this was a very large facility with about 200 or so residents. The building is rather large and during my first visit I got lost a couple of times. The facility seemed to be very clean and neat and had a pleasant atmosphere. The residents with severe alzheimers and other mental conditions which required more supervision, were contained in a special wing with security doors, i.e. they couldn't roam about the rest of the nursing home. Many of the residents seemed quite content, which was good to see. I wasn't too particularly thrilled with some of the CNA's though, not that they treated the residents poorly, but they didn't seem to have a whole lot of compassion. I had heard though at the time that they were understaffed, so many of them were working overtime and working long hours. Not all of the CNA's seemed this way, there were some that were very pleasant and treated the residents with great respect. There seemed to be a few issues regarding the kitchen however. There had been some complaints due to the residents that had to have pureed food, were sometimes getting food that had not been properly pureed and in fact caused an issue where one bed ridden resident began to choke. After that they really buckled down on the kitchen staff and the quality seemed to greatly improve.

In the time I visited Muscogee Manor & Rehabilitation Center, I witnessed God's work being done every single day, in every single way. The staff was courteous and well trained with their treatment and knowledge of the medicines and exactly how to give medicines and iv's. The facility was beautiful, spacious, and well equipped with all the essentials for assisted living. I visited the center countless number of times, and each time I visited, there was always a friendly person there to greet my uncle and me. With that hospitality, I cannot provide any negative feedback or commentary. It was simply amazing and an experience I will most certainly never forget. Being a native of Columbus, it is very nice to know that there is a facility like this here in my hometown that takes care of it's patients the way that it should be done. Though it was quite some distance from my home, it was always reassuring when I visited, due to the warm and friendly staff and personnel. The facility is large and meets the needs of everyone there. I can see why they are a monumental part of this community and have made such an impact in my family's life.

This place is by far exceptional. I would recommend it to anybody. Its an assisted living/rehab center. They have a variety of activities onsite, full sprinkler system, accepts most insurances, staff friendly. I felt really good about my search for a new home for my aunt. Great Place!
