Good simple nursing home - had a rather homey feel and down to earth attendants. Inside, while not fancy, was simple, but clean. No noxious odors that lingered. My dad was here for approx. three weeks and I believe that he would have liked to have stayed longer (thanks insurance) - he is very opinionated and the only thing he grumbled a bit about was that his tv would only go to one channel a day (they later reprogrammed) and sometimes his food was not hot (it happens) but other than that he had no complaints. He had been in another about 4-5 years ago after back surgery and what I found to be different was that this place was painted a light color inside so it wasn't "gloomy" - They have a person who comes and cuts hair so he was able to write a check and get his hair cut which made him feel better as well. I believe dad would go back there again, if he ever needed too. Ladies in the office were helpful as well - thanks Kristin, Tammy and Rhonda (think that was her name - she answers the phone) as well as the nurses and physical therapists!

I was there for 100 days as for both nursing care and rehab, and as such had a private room. This is not Ritz Carleton nor did I expect it to be. Nor is it hospital. Therefore one should not expect that level of service. If you ring for help the response is not always immediate and should not be expected. The rooms are well kept, that is housekeeping measures up to expectations. Single rooms h ave their own shower, the semi-private rooms share a roommate and taken to the shower twice a week. the staff is helpful and cheerful, ratiing better than found in most hospitals. The food is good, not resteraunt quality, but very good for institutional food, and better than that in the area hospitals. The activities director and assistant do a superb job in keeping the week full of activities and even go from room to room offeribng coffee after breakfast, and on some days distrubute ice cream, both in commercial cups as found in stores and on occassion freshly churned ice cream. Value? I have no reference, but it is not cheap.

The staff at Maple Ridge Health Care Center was good and the food was excellent. The rooms are smaller since their patients are in nursing home care as opposed to assisted living. They have activities for the residents like bingo, they have people that come in and play music for the people, there are sing-alongs, movies, and TV nights. Most of their residents are wheelchair-bound, their attention span is a lot less, and they pretty much need to be cared for.

My visit at Maple Ridge Health Care Center was very good. The rooms and surroundings were very nice, and the food was good. The staff was very professional and very friendly. The location was very convenient and very quiet. I liked their rooms, the dining room, and their outdoor area because it was fenced in with tables and walking paths. They had a television room and a common area, and I thought that was very good.

This facility was very nice but my client was very specific as to what they were looking for. He needed veterans benefits and wanted it to be located in a hospital. Maple Ridge didnt supply either. However, there is a hospital (Cartersville Medical Center) very very close by. Its peaceful here and the staff is amazing.
