All interactions with staff have been positive. The Activity Director is wonderful! She works hard to involve the residents in various activities throughout the day. Her positive attitude is infectious!

I went to Highlands Senior Living Cartersville. It was awesome. It was very nice. The people were friendly, and they had quite a few programs to keep you healthy and mobile. I noticed that there was a class going on, and people were sitting outside under the sun just enjoying their day. The person I talked to took care of me and answered all my questions. She was very knowledgeable, respectful of my time, very friendly, and very easy to work with, so I was very pleased with her and the overall feel of the place. However, I decided it wasn't for me because of the prices that were quoted and the understanding of how the system works. The thing is I'm on a limited Social Security budget. I could have probably worked something out if I got a roommate, but I don't want a roommate, I want my own room. So that would not work for me.

Highlands is a great place with friendly staff member and loving residents. I would highly recommend this facility. The food is good, they have activity through out the day from different venders in the community. The room sizes and prices are unbeatable. My daughter has been their several times and they treat her life family. I highly recommend this facility to the Cartersville and surrounding areas. You want regret your choice, just give them a call.

The Highlands Senior Living is right down the road from me on Roving Road. The staff was very nice. She toured the building with me and told me what the price is and everything was. She gave me a form that I would need to take to the doctors to have them fill out like an evaluation form because I think there is some Alzheimer's or dementia going on with my mom. It has two different facilities here in Cartersville, and one of them is on Nelson Street and the other one is on Roving Road. They will take care of the residents in one of them and if they got to Alzheimer's or dementia, they could be transferred over to the other one. I liked the one on Roving Road as far as the size of the building. It was a newer building than the other one. When you walk right in the front door, it has like a bird sanctuary. I think it's appealing to the older generation. They had nice-sized rooms. I walked the grounds, and it was nice. The staff during the tour did great.

Felton Manor Personal Care was clean and well kept. The staff seems to be very nice and helpful. I just didn't like the location. It wasn't the most ideal situation for me. They had a dining area and the facilities are nice enough. The staff members that I met were very nice, although there weren't many that I met. The people who reside there seemed fine. A part of the issue is that this community is kind of in the middle of an industrial area.

My mom has been living at Felton Manor and she's doing very well. The care is really good and the place is really nice. They take care of the people. I'm very pleased with the atmosphere, the building, and its cleanliness. Mother just doesn't care for the food since they fix a lot of pizzas and there's other food she doesn't eat, which is my only negative about the place. She ends up eating a lot of sandwiches because of it. They have sit-down exercises every morning, bingo, ice cream socials, paint, and puzzles. Most of the staff members that have been there for a while and are there on a regular basis are knowledgeable, but some of the helpers who come in aren't.

It used to be a very nice place. However, unfortunately they have had a change in management. It used to be a very loving environment but that is no longer the case. The food has gone down hill so dramatically that quite a few of the residents are considering leaving. The elderly only have one thing to look forward to and that is eating! They used to enjoy really good desserts but that has gone to the wayside also. What a shame! I would not recommend this place at this time unless conditions get better. How sad!!

I have visited this facility numerous times and it is by far my favorite assisted living facility. At other communities, like this one I have seen residents being treated horribly and given no respect. But here, I have not witnessed that one time. The staff is amazing and extremely caring. They treat each resident with the up most respect. They are dedicated to making residents happy and helping them with their every need. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking to more into an assisted living community or to any family member struggling to find a great facility for their mother, father, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, friend, etc. I believe upon one visit, all of your worry and fear will be ameliorated. I'm so thankful this exists in my community. Other than at home, I would not have wanted my grandparents to have been at any place else. They viewed Felton Manor not as their home away from home, but their home.
