My father is in this facility currently. It is an older facility and it certainly is not what you would call a resort. But the people make up the difference. He gets very good loving care. We really appreciate the great work all the CNA and nurses do. Especially Diane on the weekends and carry during the week And the CNA who is Hispanic and I cannot for the life of me remember her name. She is a sweetheart actually they all are. We appreciate the hard work they do.

My loved one was treated like pure crap. Didn't get the right meds, nor the treatment they needed. Until another loved one got the head lady in charge involved then they acted like they were. This place is nasty!!

This facility is a nightmare. They mistreated my husband horribly. I wouldn't put my worst enemy here now that I know what this place is like. My husband was fine when he entered Cartersville, except for his normal problem and he couldn't walk, so he needed physical rehab. He had been hospitalized for a month. He had already recovered from Covid, Pneumonia, and from being on a respirator for a week. I had been in his room every day for the 3 weeks prior to his hospital release. He was eating regular food in addition to other food that I was approved to bring in to him. I wore a mask but that was all. Cartersville decided to feed him soft and liquid food because it was easy not because he needed it. They claimed he had Covid, which was impossible. He was type II diabetic and they gave him so much insulin that they had to treat him for Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) on many occasions. I would go to see him and they would tell me that he didn't want to see me (LIE) !! He didn't have a window that I could see him through, He came home after 7 weeks and died the next day.

The rooms are filthy! This facility neglected/allowed my mama to get in very serious condition. I had to demand they call an ambulance to transfer her to a hospital on December 30, 2020. I blame this facility for my mother’s death. There are only a few caring workers. Standing outside and looking through a window at your love and not being able to get in to help them is pure hell. If I could give all zero’s, I would. They don’t deserve 1 star! Yes

Over the weekend, my friend was not given daily presciptions - excuse given was that they are short-handed. Today she did receive necessary nebulizer treatments so she is struggling to talk. Meals are so poor, constipation is now a problem. Assistance requests take forever. TV remote doesn't work and no one has fixed it. When you are in need of assistance, little things become big things. When you miss medications it can become life threatening.

My father is staying in Cartersville Heights. They've all been very good to him and try to take good care of him. They have a rehab gym.

We chose this facility mainly because of the convenience. Cartersville Heights is near the family. They take good care of their patients. The grounds are well kept. To improve the facility, they need more staff. They are a bit understaffed.

My mother was in this facility for 5 weeks while she was recovering from a hip fracture. She was on Medicaid so the choices of facilities we had to choose from were limited. I chose this one for her because it was close to friends and family and we would be able to visit her often. The facility itself is old. There are no state of the art things here in this location. Mom was in a room with 2 other residents so it was very crowded. All 3 of them shared 1 bathroom and closet. It was a nursing home so it smelled like a nursing home, not much you can do about that. The staff was very good with mom, coming when she called for assistance, making sure she had everything she needed, and giving her medication in a timely manner. She was in physical and occupational therapy during her stay and the nurses in these areas were exemplary. The thing I found very odd is that they did not provide television for the residents. They provided cable but we had to bring my mom in a television for the length of her stay. She didn't like the food, but who really likes hospital food. If I had to choose again I would still pick this facility. It is not a resort, it is an old nursing home, but the staff and they way they treated my mother was the most important thing to me and they did a great job at that.
