Heritage was very nice. I did not like the setup that they had. Their halls were crowded, as they allow the patients to sit out in the hall. We talked to the people we know and they said the food was not good, but other people said that their parents were there and that they were happy with it, so it all depends on the individual. The staff was OK, but they don’t return our calls or get back to us as quickly as I think they should. I talked to a girl and said anywhere from a week to a month, and I haven’t heard from them in two months. The rooms were OK, nothing spectacular, but they need more room for the number of clients that they have. They have bingo and card games.

This facility lacks qualified management at the top. The director, in my opinion, is unqualified to manage a facility with aging patients with, in many cases, severe mental impairments. The staff is unhappy with management and there work environment. I had to call 911 from the facility because I could not get anyone to check my fiends vital when she was ill. Another time she had a tear on her backside from a untrained CNA. The bandage was coming loose and had feces on it. She fell out of the wheelchair because they did not have the leg rest on it. The state agency that governs nursing homes has found has found fault with them too.
