My mother has moved into Blue Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care. It met every need that we were looking for, for my mom. They are wonderful. Everything that they do is centered around her. They're very loving, like a family. I ate lunch with her yesterday and the food was very good, almost excellent. They have bingo and exercise classes, There are several listed that they do. They offer a salon, they have a gym, a movie theater, a dining area, and an outside area.

We have chosen Blue Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care. My mom hasn't moved in yet. So far, the people there that we have spoken with have been incredibly helpful. One of the main staff (her name was Cindy) has been very helpful with answering questions, showing us around, and explaining things. So far, I'm very impressed. What made us choose this place is the convenience of it because we live in Blue Ridge. The fact that they had a room available also had really helped things out. Of course, everybody I've met there has been very professional, very kind, and supportive. We had a lunch date very recently so that way my mom could kind of get the feel of things. It went well. The food was good and satisfying. The chef took really good care of us. He came to our table probably four or five times just to make sure that we were all right and had everything we needed. They have a physical rehabilitation room with workout equipment. They have a salon, so that my mom can get her hair done there. They have a little garden area where she could do that. They have social gatherings. They have games. They have church services on Sundays for multiple denominations. They have days where they'll put them on the bus, and they'll take them out shopping and things like that.

I went over to Blue Ridge Assisted Living & Memory Care. I like the facility. The people were very nice. They explained everything to me, walked me around, and showed me the place. I was able to see what wing my wife would be in, once she would be able to get in. In general, it was just a very pleasant experience. It was nice, clean, airy, bright, and uplifting. It wasn't depressing. We saw a couple of other places that were not as uplifting, so that played a big part in the decision-making. I saw them interacting with other patients or other clients. I liked what I saw. It was very comforting. I was there during midday, and I saw what they were putting for their meals. It looked very healthy. It was paleo.
