I was a Resident at Pruitt Austell about three months ago. During my stay the staff was very attentive to my needs. My room was always clean and the housekeeper had a great attitude she always had time to talk to me. The food was great, I was able to choose my meals from a selective menu.

Staff eats patients food when they are sleeping. I also had to ask repeatedly for my mom to get some water. Worst of all, she fell and hit her head but they waited 5 days to take her to the hospital. She was never the same after and within 5 weeks she was dead. Don't put anyone you love in this horrible place.

My husband stayed at PruittHealth - Austell for 12 days. The rehab did not read the note from the hospital where he had been over there for 22 days. In the 12 days that he was there, they did not walk him. He did very little rehab, and he just went back to square one. He got severely constipated because they didn't have him moving. We had to go to the E.R. for nine days to get him straightened out of that. So it was a very poor facility. Sometimes the food was okay, and sometimes he got stuff that neither he nor I even knew what it was. He didn't get to go outside at all. The room was a B-minus as far as cleanliness. They didn't keep his boot on him that he needed to wear. I always had to go in and make sure that the boot was on him because of a bad sore under the back of his heel. I just had to stay on them all the time. The staff members were slow to respond. It wasn't anything great, but they did okay. Except for when we were leaving, they didn't treat us very nicely. The food was not always a diabetic meal that he got. They gave him way too many carbs in his meals, and therefore he had to have more insulin than he needed to have because they were giving him the wrong food. We didn't see any activity.

My mother has been in PruittHealth - Austell for six weeks now. They're helping her with bathing, dressing, and getting balance back. She broke her ankle. The staff are friendly. However, it's not very well kept up. The separating curtains are dirty. The walls are marked up. It's just really beat up. The food is horrendous. The food is barely edible. It's terrible, so I would take her food there every day. I've tried their food, and I've looked at it even, and the food is just not appealing. My mother's room is basic. It looks like a hospital room. It has a hospital bed and closet. She shares it with somebody. The staff are very good. However, they need to make sure all the TVs are working. They need to make sure that all the residents have pillowcases, especially when they've requested them several times. And they need to paint the walls and clean them up. They need separating curtains between the beds. They're in tatters and disgusting.

I would like to give this facility a higher rating but my husband was a patient there. I would give a rating of 0 if I could. Halls were very clean but patients rooms were dirty in many areas. Administrators did not seen to know what was covered and what was not. Left hand did not know what the right hand was doing. Nursing staff was not very visible or very helpful. Please do not sent a loved one to this facility. We were told at hospital this facility had a 5 Star Rating, a joke.

This facility was clean and food was good. But staff was very rude and smart a--. Everyone was lazy and always walked off to get someone else the job asked of them. My light stayed on for over at least an hour, even when there would be a nurse standing right outside my door. Laziness and prejudice is my main thing. The telephone operator snapped and was very rude. Someone came into my room after paging for help and she told me it was 2am--- go back to sleep. I would not recommend my dog go yo this place.

My mother was at Austell for three months during Covid 19 pandemic. My mother was very happy with her care during the time she was their. She voiced the staff was very nice and attentive. If she had to be placed at facility, Austell would be my first and only choice.

This facility has not allowed the patient the use of the patient phone. They hid the pat vents items from her that she need including her birthday items. They moved her walker where she cannot reach it. They let their patients sit in their own faces for hours. They have not provided the rehabilitation that is required so the patient can return home. They do not answer the phone or they pass the buck with no results.

Rooms are tiny and all furnishings provided by Pruitt (night stand, blinds, TV sets) are broken, poorly patched and dirty. Facility is very old and run down. Maintenance is a joke. TV sets don't work correctly. REALLY????? During COVID when the ONLY recreation for these elderly, sick residents is TV and Pruitt gets $8,000 +++ per month and the resident cannot get a decent 12" TV???? The management promises and NEVER delivers. There are NO activities and NO amenities. There is a courtyard that has a code on it that residents are not given. If they get a nurse or CNA to let them out there, the buzzer does not work to let them back in so they may stay out there for hours banging on the glass begging to be let back in. OTC Medications, requested by doctors, are in short supply. The nurses are overworked. CNA's are underpaid. There is so much potential there. Very sad. My loved one, returning from the hospital with glue-like substance in her hair, has been refused a shampoo and shower for days. I have left a message for her nurse and the administrator to call me to no avail. You are given promises, promises, promises to improve; however, that is just a tactic to assuage your complaint.

I did not want to give this facility any stars, but I had to in order to write a review. NEVER SEND YOUR LOVED ONE TO THIS FACILITY. My parent that was here is in the hospital in ICU because of the neglect and unprofessional care that was recieved. Our family never got return calls from the nursing staff or the adminstraion. The frustration that we experienced should NEVER occur in a well run facility. My parent may not live because of this joke of a rehab center. I repeat DO NOT SEND ANYONE YOU LOVE HERE.

Do not, I repeat do not take your loved one to this facility. The staff is uncaring and not friendly. Trash cans not emptied for an entire day. Rooms dirty, food trays left in room for hours on end whereby the next meal tray was left as well. Found my loved one in feces, said they had rang busser, found out busser not working. Reported busser and it had still not been replaced after 3 days. They do not wash/bath patients who are unable to assist themselves. Clothing items taken to laundry when indicated that family would handle, items never returned. Complaints to management not taken seriously. Food looked and smelled horrible. No activities for residents. A resident entered my loved ones room and proceeded to the restroom. The weekend staff is the worst. I feel sorry for anyone that has to leave there loved one and cannot visit. This place is beyond disgusting!!!
Don't do it, please

If I could rate this place a zero I would. They almost killed my mother who was here for wound care and rehab. She would surely be dead if a family member had not found her. She was unresponsive and ended up in ICU. They only have 1 registered nurse on premise for the entire facility. They gave my mother the wrong medication. The doctors are off premise working in their own practices and impossible to reach. If you love your family member please find another facility. We also found out from her roommate that the person that had been in her room prior had died from neglect.

PruittHealth smelled like pee, but the nurses were nice and seemed caring. The food was bad, and they did not really have a lot of activities, but they had very good physical therapy. The physical therapists were excellent. If I have to rate them from 1 to 100, I will give them 100, which is one of the reasons that I took mom there. I would not want her to live there, but if somebody needs physical therapy, that is a good place for them. You go there short-term but you can move in for long-term; you can just transition over. The accommodations were nice, and the rooms were okay, but the beds were not great. My mom and I didn't really like the bed. They have a hair salon on the premises. Make sure you pay attention to the administrations as far as billing and insurance. It's important to stay on it because they love to send you bills even when your bill has been paid by insurance. They like to send you after bills, so I did not really like that. That was my bad experience with them.

Giving this one star since I think the therapists actually do a good job and care. The rest of the staff, there are very few that do care. My Mom has dementia. This facility is not set up to deal with this issue. Most staff members stand around talking about how bad the place is to work for. Took an extra long time getting discharged. I hate to say this, but I really feel like they just wanted to collect a few extra days of cash co-payments from my Mom. The food is awful. Do not put your family member here, especially if they have dementia issues

When my husband came home from here he was worst then when he went. Before he left home he could use the BR himself and they told him to use his dia-per and had two on him so could pull one off and leave one on, The food was awful and even though Medicare Advantage approved before we admitted him, they still sent me a $1500 bill after only the 20 days Medicare approved. The halls were full of patients sitting around doing nothing, He was wearing pants three sizes too big and we had all new ones, None were returned. Awful place
