Brookdale Augusta has been very thoughtful and very helpful. I like that it's a little smaller. There are only 39 residents instead of over 100. I like the atmosphere, the care, and the detail that we've had so far. The dining hall experience has been good for my friend. It's personalized. They set a table with real silverware, plates, linens, and stuff. I think that just kind of adds a nice little touch. They also have a bit of a lower price point than some of the other places we looked at. The staff that I have interacted with has been great. They have been very courteous and very friendly. My friend feels that the people are treating him very well while he's there. He has given glowing reviews about the food and he was a bit of a gourmet before, so I would trust his assessment. The facilities are good. I haven't noticed anything to cause me alarm. They had crafts the other day. They've had a Movie Day with popcorn and stuff. I think he said someone came in and did bingo the other day. I like that they have so many activities.

Brookdale Augusta was very nice. It was clean, spacious, and with a very friendly atmosphere. The staff was outstanding. There's a little place to sit outside of the sunroom. The place was very organized.

I toured Brookdale Augusta. I thought the overall setup and operation that they talked to me about was good, but there was nothing about it that I didn't like. The staff did an excellent job. I thought the cleanliness was all right, there's nothing outstanding. The size of the rooms that we were looking for were good. I felt welcome. I felt they were very generous about taking care of the patients. I thought they were very welcoming.

My mom moved into Brookdale Augusta. The thing I probably like most is the staff. They are very friendly and helpful. Her room is larger than expected and it is very nice. The place is well maintained. The food is excellent. They have daily activities, as well as weekly shopping trips.

I toured Brookdale Augusta, and it was very nice. It was a very nice tour. It was very warm and welcoming. The staff was very good. They gave us a nice tour. We met some of the residents. Beautiful place. Very nice. The rooms were very nice, larger than I expected, but sunny and bright. They had a couple of things going on the day we were there, and they had some movie time. They had some jewelry making. Everything they need is right there. I took a friend with me to look at it, and she was so impressed that she's considering it for when she reaches that stage.

We've been here in Brookdale Augusta since June and we enjoy everything about it. The only negative thing about it is it's rather expensive. For this month, the total bill is running at $7,842. That's for two people, me and my wife, but we like everything about the place very much. The food, the activities, the friendship, and the respect that the staff has for the residents are just top-notch. So, if you can afford it, it's worth the money. They will adjust the meal for you. If I wanted just oatmeal, they would give me just that, but usually, my typical breakfast here would be scrambled eggs and bacon/sausage, plus either toast or a biscuit. Then coffee/ juice (either cranberry juice or orange juice)/hot tea and a little dish of fruit (like oranges honeydew melon). Lunch is the largest meal. They typically have a choice of meats, like fried chicken or a big piece of Polish sausage. Plus greens and sweet potato souffle and a choice of soups (mushroom soup or salad with your choice of dressing) and then iced tea/water. For supper, it's usually a little bit lighter, but not necessarily lighter in content, but in the amount. You might have spaghetti and meatballs, a turkey sandwich or lasagna. They always give dessert for lunch and dinner. It could be a banana pudding or a small square cake or a piece of pie. The amount of dessert is usually a fairly small piece, not a huge piece. So, the meals are very healthy and adequate and you have a choice. They also keep up with you in terms of your health. If you need assistance with medicine, they give you your medicine each day and the nurses are always available, so you can ask them questions during the day. There's an abundance of activities during the week. The activities director is not available Saturdays and Sundays usually, but she's here during the week, all day. She takes us on trips to the store or lunch outings once a month where we go to a local restaurant. They'll come by everybody's door ahead of time and remind you of the activity and encourage you to come.

Brookdale Augusta is a well-organized facility. They are caring and considerate people. I've had dealings with the Brookdale company before, and I really liked them. I have a single room apartment that's kind of like a hotel room. It has a bathroom, a closet, and a countertop with a refrigerator. Since I am on the end corner, I've got two windows (most of them here only have one). We get fed all three meals a day and the food is really good. We have an actual chef that's in charge of preparing it. We are in an old historic building. It used to be a plantation building, so our dining area is one of the front rooms with seats of 20 to 25 people (four people to a table), and it's like an eating area in a restaurant. They have an exercise room, a physical therapy room, a game room, and they hold at least one event a week (they may bring in a pianist or guitarist). They actually just had a music day for Wednesday. Maintenance is great. They just finished the front porch where they've got rocking chairs for us to sit out on.

I toured Brookdale Augusta. They pretty much take good care of you to live there. It was good. I met some of the people and all of them were good people. The building was in good shape. The staff who assisted me did a good job. She did a good job showing us the place. We didn't try the food, but we looked at the menu, and they got a good menu. They were doing some kind of activity, but I didn't get involved in it. She invited me to get involved, but we didn't have time for that. The rooms were pretty good. They got single rooms that were kind of small, but they got a double bedroom and that's the one my parents would want. The facility was in pretty nice condition.

My tour at Brookdale Augusta was wonderful. The facility was great and very homey. They offer laundry, 3 meals a day, meds assistance, and all kinds of normal stuff in a facility. The staff was wonderful; I knew a couple of them from 20 years ago and they still work there.

This place is terrible. Brookdale does nothing. They have 3rd party companies to come in and bathe and put the residents to bed. You have to hire a nurse just so you know your loved one is being taken care of properly. There have been 3 executive directors in the last year. No one returns calls. The med techs know nothing about healthcare. They are just given that title. I can go on and on. I wish my loved one was in a different facility. We pay for just a roof over her head. That's pretty much it. Stuff gets stolen. I buy her all her hygiene products. The call button to get a staff member, haa forget it. I don't recommend this place.

My mother-in-law moved into Brookdale Augusta. The place is very clean and the people that work there go out of their way to speak to you. They're pretty friendly, the food is pretty good, and they have lots of activities. My mother-in-law enjoys playing bingo, cards, and the other stuff that they have for them to do. Some of them go on outings. When it's time for meals they knock on people's doors to make sure that they know what time it is, and to come and eat. If residents don't feel well, the staff will bring them a plate, sandwich, or whatever the residents want. It's pretty easy to check her in and out, and it's centrally located to everything. The rooms are not giant, but there's room for a bed, dresser, a small couch, a place to watch TV with a few chairs, and the she has a small refrigerator with a freezer on top of that. We can bring her ice cream, but they always have snacks and food set outside the dining room, as well as coffee and tea. It's nice to have something they can eat or drink without having to ask. This place is rather large. It's all one-story. She walks a whole lot, she's getting more exercise, and they have therapy too. The staff is flexible. They do a really good job of giving her medications, and they also stay in contact and call me several times when there's a problem with getting prescription refills. They have a pretty good variety of food, they try really hard, and the menu has healthy stuff, like green vegetables and roasted chicken, but he changes the flavor. It's pretty clean, they replace the carpets whenever anybody leaves, and the paint is fresh. They're pretty reasonable compared to everybody else. It's way more manageable than I thought it would be.

My mother was supposed to stay in Brookdale Augusta , but it didn't work out. When we first got there, everything looked well, and everybody was nice and friendly. My mother has problems with not sleeping at night, so she would wake up at night, and she fell a couple of times. They called me to tell me that she had fallen out of the bed because the bed didn't have a railing. My mother said they took her to the dining room the first time, but since she was having problems using her fork, her own private nurse that sits with her at home began to stay there with her from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. so she could feed her. Everything was going good as well as could be expected until we got ready to leave. My mother had just had laser eye surgery, but they lost all the drops, and they still don't know where the drops are. Also, half of her clothes were missing. The personnel were very nice. If I have another relative that was more self-sufficient, I would probably give them another chance, but it didn't work out for my mother because she was just a handful. Also she kept wanting to come home. They did take them out on trips once a week. They took them to the library and to Wal-Mart. The day I visited, they were learning to knit, and they were doing arts and crafts. The place was nice, clean, and neat, but one of the things I did not like about Brookdale is that they did not have a handicapped entrance in the front. There was no handicapped ramp and you had to go to the side.

My mom has been at Brookdale Augusta for about two years. Since they fired the guy who was running the place, it has really gone downhill. He was really affable and very nice to all the ladies, but I wouldn’t give them a very good rating right now. They could bring him back; he got everybody excited about taking care of the residents. They have a fair amount of activities, but in the two years that my mom has been there, she has not taken part in a single activity. They have a small, open area big enough for one picnic table.

My mother is in Brookdale Augusta. The staff is very courteous, and clear and concise on what they offer in terms of service. They have different activities, like Bible studies and weekly trips. They are scheduled to go to different places and do different things and have events scheduled within the facility for the occupants on a day-to-day basis. They provide transportation for doctors' appointments. If the staff does not know the answer, then they know who to speak to get the answer, but they never leave any questions unanswered. They are paying attention to details and capturing the customer's requirements. They have a person that actually comes in and provides any special needs that you have.

Brookdale Augusta was nice. It was very inviting and homey. The room was empty when I came in, so I really couldn't judge how much furniture you could have in there, but it seemed comfortable enough. The bathroom was nice. The dining room was very inviting. They had activities while I was there, and they had a lot of participation, so they probably had good activities. It had carpets and did not looked like a hospital.

Brookdale Augusta was a nice place and very clean. Everyone was very friendly. The rooms were nice, and they were all studios. They did an assessment on mom to see what level she is.

Brookdale was very nice. Basically it was the kind of layout where the people got dressed and went to a dining facility, so it’s more social. The staff were very nice and knowledgeable. I like the setup of the dining area. Sanitation was good, no odors, and it was a very nice facility.

My visit at Brookdale Place of Augusta was very nice. We like the staff there. They were very nice, very friendly, and seemingly competent. We also liked the atmosphere. It was very home-like there. The rooms were small but adequate for assisted living. They were comfortable too.

Brookdale Place of Augusta is a wonderful assisted living facility for the elderly. When I visited my Grandmother she couldn't seem more happy being there. The staff is very kind and more than enjoys helping out the elderly they are in charge of. It is up to date, and is a very high quality place, very clean. They even have scheduled events just for days where the families can visit, so not only are they providing a service for an elderly family member they also make it easy for the families of those at the facility. They also have many programs for people to join and strike up new or old hobbies. They have wonderful food, a nice garden and outside area to walk around and enjoy a beautiful day. They also have nice indoor entertainment facilities for when it is raining, or just any day you want to stay inside. They also have every practical need for an old person, showers, clothes, all that good stuff, not one area is of low quality. I highly recommend this place for anyone in the Augusta Area.

Fromt he moment i walked in, there was a very friendly air about the place. Almost all of the employees had a nice fat smile on their face, and was treated very well throughout my stay. My grandmother, rip, really enjoyed her final days as a resident here. i would highly recommend it to anyone else trying to find a place for their elderly ones

It was an overall positive experience. My grandpa seemed to have enjoyed it pretty well. The staff was nice and caring, without being overly pushy or intrusive. There was a bistro, a place to watch TV, nice dining rooms. And the staff was always there. There was even a barber shop, never knew retirement homes to have that. The other residents seemed nice and friendly, everyone I met there made a nice warm and positive experience. Also, it seems to be one of the less expensive assisted living facilities. It only clocks in around two thousand dollars a month, maybe that is just because it is in Georgia and not a place like California, but the price is still a plus. All in All, it is a nice place, nothing too fancy or upscale, but very very solid, and most anyone won't be disappointed if they chose here as the place to spend the twilight of their life.

Brookdale Place of Augusta Has exceptional nurses and staff members. For the three hours of my stay at Brookdale the nursing staff was very prompt on administering medications. The food was exceptional also. The dinning area was very elegant and did not make me feel like I was at a old folks home. My grandmother always told me that Brookdale Place of Augusta is the cleanest assisted living Facility she's been at. Brookdale Place of Augusta is the third and hopefully final facility she stated she'll be at. Brookdale Place of Augusta also has plenty of activities such as Bingo, Art, Water polo and they have a really nice exercise room witch i utilized also. There was only two thing's that I would say i didn't like. There was no parking. I had to park across the street and walk over a busy high way. Second the facility allows pets so you here dogs and cats barking throughout the facility. I also stepped in some dog feces in the grass.
