I toured Sunrise of HuntCliff Summit II. The community is clean, but I didn't like the parking lot. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff is very kind. They had different clubs, crafts, and a church.

Sunrise at Huntcliff Summit II seemed nice. The people seemed engaging. The person we talked to was good with follow-up cues, so that was cool, but he seemed a little pushy. It was not necessarily a deal breaker or bad, it was just something that we noticed. They had a private dining and a game room type thing. They also had a little bar area with different drinks like flavored water and individually wrapped fruits and snacks for the residents to take at any hour, so that was pretty nice. The place was super clean. They felt a little bit upscale, and the people were nice. They seemed to care about the residents, but it also seemed a little pushy, which wouldn't work with my grandmother. They were like, 'We'll make sure that we get them up and out and out of bed and doing things.' And we're like we wanted to give my grandmother a push but not a shove.

My mom will move into Sunrise of Huntcliff. The outside and the lobby appeared OK. It's a very attractive facility, and they offer some incentive on the pricing right now. Everything seemed good, and the good reviews from other people was attractive. The only negative is the traffic, it's a little challenging getting in and out of there, but other than that, it's good. The staff was good, they had good energy, and they seemed to care. It had a nice layout. The main dining area was on the lower level, and they had an area that's closed off for people that require a higher level of care.

My tour at Sunrise of Huntcliff Summit was OK, but I couldn't get in their portal, and they kinda insulted me, telling me to come out and then showing me how to do it. The community looked OK. They wanted to sell you long-term stuff. They tried to sell me a room which was like a storage room. The staff member who gave me the tour was fine; she was congenial. They always place high focus on their activities. The place looked nice.

Food is terrible. Caregivers are understaffed and there is too much turnover. Residents are overwhelmingly nursing-home ready so no good socialization for my more with-it mom. Building is old and needs more than just patching up. Leadership spends a lot of time in meetings or out of the building. Impaired residents are sometimes left in the dining room waiting for someone to take them to their room. Sometimes over an hour. Had to put my mom in hospice care to ensure her meds and care were coordinated properly. They have lost linens, forgotten to wash clothes, not properly trained staff to handle delicate situations with regard to residents. Continuity is not good between shifts and due to high turnover. Atmosphere is tense and guarded amongs caregivers. And did I say the food was awful? Multiple meetings with management have produced no long term improvement.

Sunrise was excellent; it’s just too much money. They had a pool, you can walk outside, and they do have activities like bingo.

Sunrise of Huntcliff Summit II was very well appointed and clean. The people were friendly. The memory care didn't look like a locked up unit. You don't have to unlock any doors to get in so you don't feel like you're locked in. They have a lovely terrace for the memory care people with gardens where you can plant tomatoes. The dining area was very nice and clean and had a spacious bar where they can go to the refrigerator and get a cold drink, or get a cup of coffee and some popcorn and some other snacks that are available.

I looked at Sunrise and liked it a lot, but it was a little expensive for us. They had activities and food all day long. It was very nice and did everything, basically. The two gentlemen that I dealt with were very helpful and very nice. I do not have anything negative to say about them at all.

Sunrise is one building. They have a Summit I and Summit II. Summit II is assisted living. Summit I is independent living. They're off a building right next to it, so it's an easy transition. After you meet the certain levels of disability, you just slip over next door and move in. They're an old community. They're 25 years old, but they've upgraded. They have granite tops. They have tile floors. They have new cabinetry. They have crown molding, and they have new appliances. I found it very pleasing. I got several tastes of their food. I would say it was more than acceptable. The grounds are very well kept, but, unfortunately, they're on a main road, and you have some trees in the back of the building. That's the only place that we would even dare entertain the idea of staying because the front of the building is too noisy from the road. They have a trail in the back through the woods, which is nice.

Sunrise at Huntcliff Summit II was a very clean facility. I like the staff and how they interact with the residents. I did see a lot of activities going on. They have bingo game and baking that day. When I went up on the fourth floor facility for the Alzheimer's unit, they have a dog there that was going in and out and interacting with their residents. The residents in turn would pet and talk to the dog and that was very nice. I told my niece if anything happens to me and I get dementia, that was the facility that I wanted to be placed in. I absolutely would recommend this facility.

I had a family member who resided at Sunrise assisted living facility. It was located in Sandy Springs, Ga. Not far the heart of Atlanta. The facility was very neat and clean. I was very surprised upon my first visit. The scenery is very relaxing and peaceful; there are places to sit outside under the shade with your loved ones. They allow you to bring food and gifts from outside to your loved ones. I was so happy and felt secure that my great grandmother was staying here. The staff was very friendly and went the extra mile to ensure that your loved ones are very well taken care of. The outside of this facility is very beautiful, it looks like a hotel! All of the amenities in this facility were amazing, so many things for the seniors to do and enjoy. I will recommend this facility to anyone who deciding to reside.

Staff were very cordial, they answered our questions, and took care of us just fine. We talked to a customer care person and they gave us a very warm, friendly sales pitch. It's very clean and attractive. We kind of like it, but it's not where we want to be.
