I toured Summerset Assisted Living. The facility was nice and clean. Everyone was friendly, and very detailed in the information that I was given. The rooms were all nice, and the space was nice. Everything that they had to offer was pretty good. They won't let you in unless you have an appointment or I guess a code or something to automatically get in. Definitely gated and not hard to find. They showed the whole facility. I went to the upstairs area where they have a dining room and the downstairs where they have a dining room and seating area where they play games or celebrate birthdays.

I toured Summerset Assisted Living. The staff is very friendly, the facility was clean, they were hospitable. They did show me all the rooms that they had available. They showed me all the facilities and gave me all the things that were available, like medication, work, beauty shops, housekeeping, laundry, and all kinds of stuff. The room was not that big. It was just a room and it didn't have a sitting room attached to it, that's what I disliked about it.

I was impressed with the care that Summerset Assisted Living gave to its residents when I took a tour of the entire facility. I met the owner and some of the staff. The rooms were very conducive for senior living. They had nice big rooms with private bathrooms. Matter of fact, it looked like a home. I saw the area where they have their meals and where they have their programs, and it was very nice. It was very clean. It smelt like home. The staff was very nice and very caring. The young lady who walked me around has been checking up on us trying to see where we are and if we were still interested. So I've been talking to her probably every two weeks. She'll give me a call just to check up on us. I saw them having lunch and so I got to see what they prepared for them and it looked really good. I met some of the seniors there, and they seemed happy.

The tour of the facility was nice, but subsequent experiences have shown a significant gap between the expectations set and the actual delivery of care by Summerset. We know that turnover rates are not uncommon in assisted living environments, but the management's lack of accountability and inadequate oversight of onsite staff exacerbates the situation. Of particular concern is the long absence of a nurse call button for my mother, as well as a failure to follow the contractual agreement of attending to her every two hours. Despite repeated complaints, Summerset's assurances to rectify these issues have not been followed through effectively.

I liked the openness of Summerset Assisted Living so that the residents can get a visual when people are sitting in the open space. They don't have to be looking for people. They have a nice outdoor patio and a little garden area. I liked the different options for eating spaces and I liked how the facility is set up so that you have to go to different areas in it. They have a movie theater and an activities room but they're all in different spaces which encourages movement around the facility. I liked that. The staff was good. They were engaging and they had a good follow-up. The food looked inviting. They have a theater and a salon.

I liked that Summerset Assisted Living had a lot of staff. The facility was clean and I loved that the residents were happy while they were eating their meals. They were very friendly and clean, and I liked that. They showed me a calendar of activities and it seemed like they're very active there. The staff was great. Maybe they just need to update their furniture, but I know that it is for older people and they want them to feel at home. So, I respect that.

My friend moved into Summerset Assisted Living. My friend is adapting to being there, and they're adapting to her being there. My friend is in a studio. It's one room with a closet and a bathroom. It is a very nice and clean facility with a lot of common space. If we were to go in with her on a Sunday and we wanted to take dinner for her, they had an area where we could cook or warm up food. They have a microwave, a refrigerator, a stove, and a dining room table for the family to sit at. They have a sitting area where you can watch TV and relax with your loved ones. They have another area where the residents dine. They have rooms where they go for activities; they have a large room if someone wants to come in and teach a yoga class or exercise, or if a church wants to come in and fellowship with them. They don't huddle everyone together. They have two halls to eat in this area. Then they have another hall down for two more halls to eat in. They have a seating area outside that's secured for them to go and sit if they want to. The facility is like on lockdown. There's a security gate you have to go through to get in with your car. Once you get out of your car, there's another security you have to go through. The resident's family members have to wear a mask. The residents are not required to wear a mask. You have to sign in, and you have to sign out. They have visiting hours until 8:00. Overall, I think it's going to be a nice fit for her.

Summerset Assisted Living was well-kept and clean. The staff who assisted us with the tour was very professional and very attentive. The room that we saw was a good size, well- kept, and clean. They showed us a schedule of activities and discussed everything that they had to offer.

I have chosen Summerset Assisted Living for my mother, but we do not have a move-in date yet. The staff was very courteous and friendly. The rooms were of very nice size, and they looked safe. They had a full bathroom, and a closet, but they didn't have a kitchenette. There were three different areas for dining with a restaurant-type setting. The atmosphere was homey because a lot of the residents were just doing whatever it is that they wanted to, whether that was reading or staying in their rooms. The grounds were clean. The community had fully automated gates around the entire facility. They had activities for the residents. They provided transportation services and they had a beauty salon.

My mom moved in at Summerset Assisted Living 2 weeks ago. I like the environment, and the atmosphere is very homey. I like the fact that it's privately owned and that there are people who have been working there for a while. Mom's room is great because it has a view of the front door. One of the things I like about it is they have a lot of activities. They have a group of ladies who like to play bingo every day. I like the fact that they have different eating areas. The front entrance is really big and the porch is really big. It's very clean and very quiet, and people who work in the offices are there all the time. The staff has been nice and attentive.

The assisted living and memory care areas at Summerset were both in the same building. It was very nice. The employees seemed attentive, friendly, and upbeat. They had some activities scheduled for them. Their dining room was very nicely decorated, very clean, and spaced well. They had a gym, a library, a sauna, an activity room, and separate dining areas if families wanted to come and have food.

I was already familiar with Summerset Assisted Living before I toured it, because someone else had been there that I was very close to. I knew that I liked their facility. This time, I got a chance to speak with them. They showed me some of the rooms that were empty. The residents were eating at lunchtime. I saw the activity areas, and they were all nice. I toured the memory care area of the place. The activity room was clean and inviting. There were no activities going on, but it seemed like it would be a great place to do something. They said they do artwork, singing, and bingo. The person who gave the tour was very friendly, polite, and resourceful. He was interested in having my family member as a resident. It's also homey. There's a place where they watch TV and gather to talk. There are places to eat outside of the dining area, if you have family members visiting you. They're beautifully decorated.

We toured Summerset Assisted Living for our father, and they gave us an enormous amount of information. We met both the owner and the director, and we had a comprehensive tour. They seemed to be very helpful. The bedrooms were clean and livable. They have lots of activity and lots of opportunities, and I thought they were comprehensive. There were a lot of choices. It was a very pleasant atmosphere.

We loved Summerset Assisted Living. It was beautiful, we loved the security from the point of entry when we arrived, we had to go through the security gate, and that made us feel really wonderful. We looked at a couple of the rooms and they were nice, they were spacious. We liked the fact that there were individual refrigerators in the room because my dad likes to keep his coke and fruits with him. We love the entire concept of being able to bring your own furnishings in to make it like home. We saw everything there because we went on both floors and toured every area. The staff there was very warm and it had a family feel to it. It was really nice; my sister and I enjoyed the tour. They had plenty of staff and every person that we encountered from their staff was extremely cordial and friendly. I think what really impressed us was the way the one who toured us engaged with both the residents and the staff there. He knew them all by name. They were all smiling, talking, and engaging with the patients. He was very open to every question we had to ask, too.

My mother is a resident of Summerset Assisted Living. We like the familiar décor. My mother has a private room which is a large-sized room with a bathroom included in there. The building has two floors and they have four dining areas, one in each wing on those floors. They have little like activity or breakout rooms where you can go sit or have a private party and what have you. They have a good-sized auditorium that's on the second floor, and they have daily devotions, exercises, and things like that. They also show movies once a week. The main activity room on the first floor probably needs more program in there, but other people come in from time to time. The staff is attentive but I think they need more. I've had good exchanges with the ones I have interacted with. The food seems to be pretty good. I have been there for dinners and things during the holidays. They do a combined eating thing in the auditorium and they redecorate for holidays like Thanksgiving or 4th of July, and they bring entertainment in. The folks really like that. The community is privately-owned by a family. The owner and the wife are usually there during the week and one of the sons also works there. It's very family-oriented. It's a gated community, so you have to punch in the numbers to get in there.

My cousin is in Summerset. It's very clean, neat, and tidy. The staff is very nice, compassionate, and courteous. She has a nice, comfortable, homey room. She seems to be happy. They have a lot of things going on, like dances, church, and eating together. The food looked healthy and good.

My experience at Summerset Assisted Living is very good. They have an exercise room, they do hair, they have a barber shop, and they have activities every day. The place is very clean, and residents looked like they had a little bit more freedom, which I like.

I loved Summerset. Everything in there was nice, but the problem we faced was that my father’s income wasn’t enough to cover the cost. I loved the rooms. They had linens on the table and offered us refreshments. The staff was good and friendly and doing arts and crafts when we were there.

We found Summerset for my mother. We chose it because it is close to where I live, it is a gated community, they have cameras, and the facility is furnished kind of like my mom’s house used to be. They have antiques and flags. It is a two-level facility, and they have four dining halls, which is good because it is spread and convenient. They have a lot of activities, and the staff is nice. They do a foot care thing about four times a month, which is actually good because my mother is diabetic. They have bingo and other games. Every Saturday, they have movies. They have like an auditorium, and they have movies in there. Once a month at the end of the month, they have a birthday bash for anybody that had birthdays that month, and it is like a party. They have groups that come in and do things like sing-a-longs. They also have devotion every morning, Monday through Saturday. On Sunday, they have Sunday school and church there, which is really good. I haven’t tasted their food, but my mom says it is very good. I have a calendar that has their meals. I would say sometimes it is institutional, but overall, it is very good. My mom likes it. Also they have lots of places they can move inside, but they also have really nice grounds outside. If my mom wanted to go outside, she can walk around. They have a little park on the park areas on the facility, which is really nice. The staff is good compared to the last facility where my mom was. They have like nurses station at four locations, one on each wing. They check my mom’s blood sugar everyday. The CNAs seem to be nice. They seem to be responsive when my mom presses her buzzer.

I also went to Summerset, and I love the staff and the cleanliness of the community. It was a little calmer here. I also like the theatre that they have on the premises. I also like that it was family owned and operated as well. There has been a lot of personal care there.

I opted for Summerset Assisted Living Community because of the proximity to my house. It was convenient for me. They had enough staff for the residents. There were also different activities. The size of the room was adequate enough. It was clean and pretty.

This is a very professional, clean and traditional center. The atmosphere was nice. The employees were helpful. The have large walk ways, gardens fishing ponds and much more. There are many activities i noticed many of the seniors being active, whether they were just reading, talking, or playing bingo.
