It is a very positive environment. Both the staff and the residents are pleasant and the food is good. As for activities, there are not as many of them as I think there might be, but I don't have time to do more than I do now anyway. Nevertheless, I enjoy Bingo and we have Friday morning coffee socials. They recently had a retirement party for somebody and it was fun.

I visited Mt Vernon Village. Linda made a fascinating impression there. It was just outstanding. It was over there right between a school and a church. They were tucked off in the back. It's a nice private type of situation there. They are very upscale and very nice. It was built older, maybe 30 years old or maybe more, but it's very elegant. The apartments are very private. If you're in some sort of trouble, they can get into your apartment with no problem. You can enter and exit your apartment, too. Some of them have a patio where you can just walk right out your patio onto the car or onto your own back lawn. They provide all your meals. You don't have to pay for anything. You don't even have to buy groceries if you don't want to, but I buy my own. I have a different sort of dietary plan, but I liked the idea that grocery is no issue. Then they have a cafeteria. Everything is there. They got a chapel and I was able to meet some of the residents and they were pretty nice. They are very friendly people. They also have a weight room, a pool, and a dining room where people come and serve you the food. Then they have other little meeting rooms. For example, if you like to play an instrument or play the piano or something like that, they have a room for that. They have several different types of apartments where if you're the type of person who needs walk-in showers, they got that. The appliances are great. They got new appliances in most of the apartments. There's a full refrigerator, a full stove, and a full dishwasher. It'd be a place that you'd like to live. They invited me to dinner and I saw their menu and it was good. I don't eat a lot of meat and they have a menu there that would work for me as well. The menu looks great. They have an actual chef and kitchen staff and the the oldest member of the kitchen staff has been there for about 25-plus years.

Sandy Springs Senior Homes, LLC was a nice place. They were doing some work around there to make sure that it was even nicer. It was a pretty decent spot if that was the environment you wanted to live in. It was clean. Linda was a sweetheart. She was courteous. She made sure I understood everything to the fullest extent. She showed me three different properties, and she was just kind. The dining area was simple. It was not as upscale as the other place, but it was decent. They told me about bingo, and I know they got a hairdresser there. She told me they have a media room. As far as exercise, I didn't see one.

Sandy Springs Senior Homes, LLC was a small community. They have a lot of extra touches that I didn't find in some of the other communities, most notably someone available 24/7 at the front desk for an independent living community. I thought that was very important. The size of the units was very nice. There are close to about 67 residents, so just the small nature of the community was more conducive for my mom. The socialization and the services that they offered I thought were a little bit more personalized. Also, they have everything my mom needs.

Our tour experience with Sandy Springs Senior Homes LLC was very informative. The person that took us around was very detailed with everything that was associated with the independent living floor plans. She also gave additional information on financial accommodations for potential residents who may be applying. She was very welcoming and all the areas were very nicely presented. It was a clean and welcoming environment. The lowest independent living plan they had was like a one-bedroom and it was very outdated-ish. The oven was very old, but it was a nice unit. On the next floor plan, you could tell that it was more expensive for a reason. They had hardwood floors. It was a nice comparison between the two. As a whole, I enjoyed the tour very much, and they answered a lot of questions about where the hospitals were located and the pricing.

I had a nice tour at Sandy Springs Senior Homes LLC. It's a nice building. It's two floors and residents get three meals a day. The person that gave the tour was a nice lady. I had talked to her a few times on the phone and then when I met her, she was even nicer. They have activities like bingo and card games. They also have exercise rooms. The dining area was laid out nicely and spacious. The rooms were also big and spacious.

I'm moving there probably in October. It's small and very friendly. The layout was efficient and easy to maneuver. Utilities, meals, trash service, linen service, beauty parlor, all kinds of activities are included. They have exercise, art, church, outings, and they provide transportation.

It had one- and two-bedroom apartments, which were really nice. The people we met were very pleasant and had no problem answering our questions. They had everything there, like balconies on the second floor and patios on the first floor. The place was configured in a way where I don't think the seniors would have too many problems. Even if they got confused, there was someone readily available to help them to get where they had to go. It was very clean. They paid a lot of attention to detail, like adding some newer lights that offered more of an ambience. It was a place where you not just age in place but age in place gracefully. It wasn't difficult to find. It was just a few minutes off the expressway. It's very convenient.

The apartments are good. It's an older place, but it's within my price range, so that's why we took it. They have chair aerobics, a library, and weekly get togethers or party. It's very nice.

It was very clean, and the furniture in the waiting room was nice; I liked it. The staff was very friendly, the dining area was OK, and I was interested in the activities.
