Placing a parent in a long term care nursing facility is not a decision one takes lightly. When the time came, I searched many many places in my area and not one was a place that I could feel comfortable to let my parent live in then I visited Manor Care! From the front desk, to the maintenance staff to the nurses, administration EVERYONE has been wonderful. Residents and visitors are treated with dignity and respect. My parent has gained weight and is adjusting to their new home I believe because of how well they are treated. The building is older but it is SPOTLESS thank you to Rosalie the maintenance supervisor. Everyone is extremely helpful and caring. I cannot say enough about how grateful I am that I can sleep at night knowing that my parent is very well taken care of! The only critique is that they need more activities

My experience with ManorCare began with a total right knee replacement revision with a patellar tendon tear. So I came to the facility in an immobilization brace and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. I felt an immediate sense of relief, as I knew they would take care of my "Total well being emotional, physical, mental, occupational ,and physical therapy are top Notch. Team work is evident, Smiles are abundant . The patients needs are first and foremost Dignity and Respect given here thank you.

I went to visit my Grandmother for Mother's Day and was greeted with tears. Firstly, they have her cornered off for a "contagious disease" that they have not even tested for. Secondly, the nurses didn't want to be bothered to help her out of bed or to answer any of my questions. They haven't been giving her necessary medication or following the proper physical therapy schedule. My grandmother was crying because she can't walk. They've been feeding her by feeding tube and she is perfectly capable of eating normally. She is skinny and malnourished. I am horrified and disgusted with this facility! There were poop stains on her bed. I asked them to help me out her in a wheelchair. The one nurse didn't want to do it. He told me that she lays in bed all day and when I asked if they ever move her, he shrugged as if it didn't matter. We had to beg them to let us take her outside. Then they wouldn't even help her back into bed. We were there from 4pm-8pm and never once did I see them bring a dinner tray! I inquired about it upon leaving and the nurse didn't seemed concerned at all with whether or not my grandmother had eaten. I will be reporting this facility to whoever will listen and will leave this review everywhere! Don't leave your loved ones with these shoddy people. They're unprofessional and they don't care about you or them.

Addendum to my review of my Dad's January 2017 stay at Manor Care: after my dads 9 days there, he ended up in the ER so dehydrated it took 20 minutes literally to get an IV in. The people at Manor Care filled a cup with water for him (most days) but then left it on his bed table 3 feet from his bed! How was he supposed to get it? He was laying there with a broken hip! So not only had he lost 12 pounds in 9 days, he also became very severely dehydrated.

Above average care. The nursing staff was so caring and attentive. The answered my call light every time. They asked me what MY goals were, and together we made a pain management plan, and scheduled my medicine before I asked! I would highly recommend to friends and family.

I cannot give even 1 star to this facility. My mother was placed there in October 2016. It is now February 2017 and she is dying. She received a stage 4 bedsore while in their care. Admitted to emergency room. With Sepsis. When I visited my mom at Manor Haven, There was a definite lack of compassion from the staff. For hours and days you could hear elderly patients screaming out for help only to be ignored. It was frightening. Disgusting. If any of the staff were asked a question or for some assistance you were given a cold look and made to feel like you were a huge inconvenience. If you are understaffed, it certainly was not my mother's fault. If she was uncooperative because she was afraid, could not hear due to deafness, or because she was treated roughly that was not my mother's fault. She deserved better. And now she is dying and extremely painful death and it is a long process. Manor Care and it's owners..... I pray to God that one day you suffer as much from your own hands.....

I was a resident there for a short term (thankfully). The food is mostly horrible, I ended up losing 30+ pounds in a short time. The care is mostly sporadic, some staff are excellent while others simply walk away and iignore you. I would never recommend the place to anyone. The only good thing is the physical and occupational therapists are all good and very helpful people.

My friend was at ManorCare Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, and I did not like them. I was not comfortable with the way they treated her. She did not like the food. The people did not seem happy.

We have placed my relative here in Manor Care and we're happy with it so far. We had two other family members that were there in their hospice unit before and we were pleased with their services at that time. We like the price, it is affordable. The facility is nice and clean. My relative seems to get good service there. I would recommend this place to others.

We found Manor Care online so we decided to visit the place. The place was remodeled for a more modern look. The facility was complete with doctors, nurses and physical therapists. The administrator was very helpful. It was very clean. Most of the residents had been there for a long time and they were happy. Unfortunately, there was no vacancy to accomodate my mother.
