My dad is at Royal Oaks Nursing and Rehab Center, and they are excellent. They have excellent care. When you walk in, you don't smell anything. The aides and nurses are very caring and attentive. They are smiling and happy. When I go and see my dad, I speak to the residents, and they're all happy, very content, and don't have any complaints. If you have clothes there that they wash, you have to mark the clothes yourself. Otherwise, they don't know where they belong. The rehab is fantastic, and the long-term side is also very well organized. They can eat in the dining room. They take them in early to socialize. It is a beautiful facility, and it's locked. So an alarm goes off if the door gets opened. They do different activities there, so it's just a nice place. They have ice creams every night, too. The food is good.

Royal Oaks Nursing And Rehab Center seemed organized. The atmosphere was better. They have a chef who works there for their food, but they have a long waiting list to get in. The only thing is I can't get the administrator to call me back. The place looked as clean as it could be. There was no odor. The rooms I saw were for people who are at end-of-life, and they were very nice. They had a beautiful courtyard and a nice eating area. There are tablecloths and silverware. Assistants were working in the dining room to help people if they needed their food to be cut up or whatever. They have a nice beauty salon, a podiatrist who comes and does their nails, and a nice ice cream bar. I spoke to the activities director as she was passing by, so they have a lot of activities there. The atmosphere was very warm and compassionate.

I was admitted to the hospital on Saturday, April 1,2023 AND TRANSFERRED TO ROYAL OAKS REHABILLITATION CENTER ON Monday April 3rd pm. I arrived at 10pm. the nurse told me "She didn't have my pain prescription it may arrive sometime tomorrow ...i was in bad pain. I laid there from 10pm till8am literally crying. I was informed later she could have gotten approval for Tylenol at least. My goodness very scary place my roommate asked to go to the toilet and their response was "just go in the bed and we'll clean it up later." One male cna left me on the toilet where i almost fell again, he returned. and said, "sorry i wasn't with you". Then the last night April 4th they left me on the bed pan for at least 15 minutes. As we were leaving Wednesday April 05,2023, for my follow up appointment with the surgeon, the PT nurse said in checking my file i was supposed to be receiving 7.5% but they had giving me 5% dose of pain medicine. Then the administrator came to my room and begged us to return after the appointment. My husband took me home to recover after my appointment. The only pt I received was put in wheelchair and toured the facility. If I could give a negative star rating i would.

My boyfriend went for Rehab after a back surgery. Nurses were very good with him, but their hands are tied as to meds only as doctor orders. Well that is statement I'm very upset over. Al is a diabetic and stage 3 kidney disease. Everytime they checked his sugar he was 200 to 400. They were not giving him the dosage they should have. His feet were so swollen he couldn't even get his shoes on for therapy. He was urinating all over himself and had no control of his bladder. He had only two shower in the 11 days he was there, because of the boil water incident we had in Titusville, they could have made up for it afterwards, but did not. I told them he was checking out on Friday and the doctor, PT guy and social worker recommended that he did not, they told me they were afraid he was going to end up in the hospital. I thought to my self that if he stays there he would end up in hospital or on kidney dialysis or eventually dead, he signed himself out they would not give him his meds they were giving him or set up his in home care. Honestly I would not recommend this place to anyone, I wouldn't even bring my dead father there.

This is a beautiful facility with a lovely garden out back. Good ice cream every day. Excellent Rehab dept. Erica got me walking quickly. Food leaves a lot to be desired. Not good most of time. CNA's very nice and answered lights fairly quickly. Generally good experience. Rooms are nice and clean and smple size. Just wish they had headphones for TV's. No activities.

My family member is at the Royal Oaks Nursing and Rehab, in the Rehab section. She was admitted for Physical Therapy/Occupational therapy after having neck surgery. She was admitted to the ER with paraparesis in both legs. The next day surgery scheduled. After 8 days of failed rehab in the hospital she was recommended for additional therapy. Due to limited beds and absolutely no other choice she agreed to go an hour away to this facility. She arrived at @6:30pm on Jan 9, 2021. She was placed in a room and abandoned for almost 4 hrs. She attempted numerous times to contact a nurse or aide to perform a basic human right. I get help to go to the toilet. This is admit day. They failed to due the OSHA basics and that is to do a physical assessment of the patient. This is TOTALLY UNEXCEPTABLE! The dayshift of the Nursing Homes are usually very Im sorry im busy that day and appropriate, but the night shift tends to have less than professional staffing. The agencies collect Billions of Medicare and Private insurance dollars all we want you to do, is YOUR job. This could one day be you! Where are the Federal or State agencies??? Multiple similar complaints.

They do the bare basics minimum for each patient. If the patient needs something, they can wait as long as two hours for something as simple as water. The staff could not care whether you are doing well or dying. It is the most awful place in Brevard County. Don't go there. Avoid it if you can.

Most of the staff from the administrator on down are just there for a paycheck...they don't really exhibit any care or compassion.Patients wait extremely long for help and assistance. Patients crying out for help go unattended. Beds remain soiled for hours. I love and respect nurses however the nurses here sit around a central desk and chit chat. I spent many hours here watching over my father, so this is not a review that is not based on watching many shifts and many employees at various times throughout the day and night. There were a few compassionate employees, mostly in the food service area. I really feel as if the State and county health department should do unannounced inspections of this place or go undercover and watch what really happens.

If you care about your love one, do not put them in this Royal Joke! My love one suffered in this place, would call in the middle of the night, crying in pain. The nurses ignored him. I even had to call them and demand they call the ambulance for him! The nurses couldn’t even change a foley, he had to go to the emergency room, at least 3 times for this. He sent me pictures of nurses sleeping at the nurses station, while he was in pain. He also had bad bedsores, due to the further neglect. The hospital couldn’t believe how bad they were. The State came in, while I was visiting. You should of seen the ass kissing show they put on for them. I hope next time they arrive like I do, as a visitor, so they get to see what is really going on in this place. Please pick a better place for your loved one!

My mom was at Royal Oaks. Seems like the lack of concern and non attendant. The nurses station has very bad social skills and get rude when you state concerns. They don't answer your concerns but ramble on with what they think you need to hear. I would have to constantly go and get blankets and get things for Mom as the floor she was on was hardly attended. I was there every morning and every afternoon and of course I feel they got used to my schedule and that's when they showed they were trying. There is a few of the staff members that always filled me in on things I needed to know so I could stay my concerns. Royal Oaks big to upgrade severely their social skills and axi their duties. If you have the time to look elsewhere 4 the kind of care you expect.

From the administration down to the CNAs who run the patient care without supervision and checks (from what I saw and heard), reconsider placing yourself or others here instead look for other options. And yes, I was also yelled at by an RN for asking a question as another stated here. CNAs and RNs did not attempt to connect on a personal level to patient. Placement of soiled undergarments so that contents touch the bed are is not my idea of cleanliness. I would like to thank the physical therapists who were both mature and courteous, also helpful to us. We appreciate your efforts and kindness. Also, try to do your patient's laundry yourself. Labelled or not, expect losses.

My husband is in Royal Oaks right now and so far it's very nice. He's in for rehab right now and they have continuous care. They always have activities, like a singer came in, they play bingo, there's a few games, and ice cream socials. The place is very nice and clean.

My mom has been at Royal Oaks for about two and a half months. I like them but I had some issues with them because they suddenly kick you out and I wasn't ready. If you don't make certain progress according to Medicare, then they can't keep you, but it was so abrupt and it was hard on me. I had less than a week to find a new place. But, it's a nice place and pretty good. They had a lot of activities, and the people who worked there seemed to give good service. The aides were really good and my mom hated to leave since she wasn't ready. The meals were like hospital food.

My dad was in Royal Oaks and the care is sub par. They don't have enough caring staff we asked a question on his care and the girl at the nurses desk was so nasty saying she did take care of him so she really doesn't know. She show no compassion to us as we are trying to find out why he was not being properly cared for. If you have a loved one and are looking for a nice clean place for then to get better and be well taken care of this is NOT the place. We will never let our loved one cross that centers door again.

This place is the worst. My Uncle is there currently, and he contracted a GI infection, and has to wear diapers because he can't make it to the bathroom in time anymore. He's been this way for WEEKS. I've walked up to his room only to find the staff outside arguing about who's turn it is to change him, and how bad his room smells. Well guess what sweeties - it wouldn't smell bad if you changed him or his potty chair more than twice a day! Worse than that, he cant eat because you set his food on his bed table - which is right next to his soiled potty chair. No compassion at all. He wants to file a complaint with his health insurance because he's constantly being made to lay in soiled sheets for hours at a time. When my dog is dirty - I give him a bath... my Uncle deserves the same respect. When the family calls for an update, the staff (Carla especially) is unprofessional, curt and rude. Perhaps they all should take a look at the sign outside and realize where they are working for God's sake - this is HARD on the families that have loved ones there. Real hard. We are paying you to care for our family members. Don't act like you are doing us any favors. You signed up for the position - do it well, or move on. I can't tell you the depths of my hate for this nasty place, full of heartless people. The Health Department should just shut it down!

We've had a very excellent experience at Royal Oaks! The staff there really go above and beyond anything I've ever experienced at other facilities. Everyone was incredibly compassionate and helpful throughout the whole process. They were very accommodating to Mom's needs & provide wonderful care. I highly recommend them!

Grandmother is diabetic gave her non diabetic food causing her blood sugar to go through the roof. Staff is disrespectful and does not act trained at all. Residencts wonder the halls lost and screaming for help. The facilities is closer to one flew over the cuckoo's nest then a rehab center.

First I want to say that I have never written a review but I feel like this needs to be said so no other family has to go through what we have gone through. My father is currently a patient at Royal Oak. The staff is VERY rude and does not speak with the family about my father’s medical statues. They are refusing to let him out of there, the “Doctor” who is assigned to him, Alexander, refused to discharge him and will not tell us why. We have left countless messages for her to call us or meet with us to explain why he won’t be released – we even went to her office, where we were told that she would not speak to us at her office about a RO patient. Last night we were at RO and Alexander was there and we asked to speak to her to try to get some information, only to be told that she was there to see another patient and would not be in to see us. At this point he has been at RO for 20 days and has only seen Alexander two times, for literally 5 minutes. His insurance coverage ends after 20 days and he is now being charged $156 a day to stay there, $4,386 a month, to be told nothing about his health or statues. He’s basically being held prisoner’ that’s He is unable to walk due to him have a broken leg. He is on pain medication and in poor shape. They don’t clean the sheets very often even though his leg is bleeding and getting on the sheets. When you ask how long it will be before someone gets back to you about something, Angel says I’ll get to it when I get to it. RUDE unprofessional people. Do yourself the favor and DO NOT put someone you love in the care or lack thereof – of these people.

The facility is very clean, the staff is extremely nice. However, they do not have enough staff. They always seem short handed and my mom will call for help just to go to the bathroom and wait so long she cannot make it...this is very upsetting to her.

My aunt was a resident at Royal Oaks for several weeks for rehabilitation after a broken hip. I went there almost daily, and was very impressed with the facility. The staff was kind and helpful with every encounter I had with them. The facility was very clean. The physical therapist who worked with her was wonderful and seemed to truly care about her well-being. The only disadvantages we encountered were that often the visiting rooms were chilly, and her roommate had frequent visitors and the staff wasn't able to do much about giving her more privacy without her having to find an empty visiting area. But overall, she was happy there for the month or so she stayed, and I would definitely recommend Royal Oaks to anyone looking for a residential facility with rehab services.

I was personally involved via receiving rehabilitation services for torn ligaments on my left index finger as the result of a golf accident. My therapist, Georgia, went beyond what I would consider required to insure I ended up with full range of motion for the index finger on my left hand. I received stretching and strength increasing exercises twice a week for six straight weeks to give me the flexibility and painless use of my left hand. At the completion of my therapy, I was able to use my left hand without pain which allowed me to return to normal day to day activities in addition to returning to golf. The services provided by the Royal Oak Facility , and Georgia specifically, were outstanding. I would highly recommend the use of the center.

My Mother was sent to live in this facility after a long stay in the hospital. She had survived countless bouts with death and was in very poor condition. She was fed by a tube, on oxygen and had a tracheotomy tube in her neck that she was constantly pulling on and had already pulled it out 3 times and sent back to the hospital before she came to this facility. The point is she was left alone in her room and only lasted a day before they found her dead in her bed. She had been dead for a while . They didn't reach us with the news until 15 hours after she was diagnosed passed. They asked us if we wanted an autopsy, we said yes but they didn't ever do one. In the meantime they sent her to a mortuary of their choice and never even asked us . We feel that something isn't right in all that happened to Mom while she was there!
