Brookdale Tequesta has been a great experience for our loved one. The staff is professional and personable. They have been a delight to work with from the very beginning. It has been 3 months to date at this facility. What great peace of mind knowing our loved one is being cared for in so many ways. There are many opportunities for socializing within the facility (ie daily games & exercise times along with so many other opportunities). Truly a great staff that cares! I wish we had moved our loved one sooner to Brookdale!

About Brookdale Tequesta in Tequesta, Florida
At Brookdale Tequesta we know that memory losses due to Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia are progressive and residents' needs are continually changing. That's why we provide balance in our residents' capabilities, personalities, and preferences to create daily routines that enhance their spirits and increase their sense of purpose. We believe the amount of satisfaction our Alzheimer's and dementia care residents receive from the tasks that fill their days goes a long way to maintaining their sense of purpose and overall satisfaction with life. An integral part of this is our promise to encourage each resident to find Daily Moments of Success. To help our residents achieve these moments, our associates receive the tools and training needed in such key areas as specialized dining and the ongoing monitoring of healthcare and behavioral needs, to name a few. We provide Alzheimer's and dementia care residents with the lifestyle, housing, and services they need in comfortable surroundings combined with the amenities, programs, and care to help stimulate recognition, recall, and wellness in a safe environment. Through years of caring for individuals with dementia, our professional care staff has learned to create optimal surroundings and approaches to care. Familiar environments that our residents have enjoyed throughout their lives are recreated to help them feel reassured and comfortable. The Alzheimer's and dementia care programs at Brookdale Tequesta are built to embrace, not restrict our residents' desire to wander and to provide a sense of belonging. To learn more about this providers license and review other available state reports, please visit: Florida Agency of Health Care Administration

We went on a tour at Brookdale Tequesta, and it was really good. They had good staff and activities. They had quite a few activities going on for the residents. It appeared to be quite safe and quite clean. We met with the executive director, Jerry, and he was very, very informative. Of all the upgrades that they did over the last couple of years, the one that we liked the best was their showers. The ones we saw had been upgraded to all wheelchair accessible, meaning it had no steps to get into the shower and had grab bars. Everything was clean. The staff was nice. We saw the residents listening to two people singing and playing the piano. The staff that we talked to were very positive.

The staff at Brookdale Tequesta was very nice, they were very helpful and the facility seemed very clean. We looked at a shared apartment but it's just very small, and I don't think its right for my sister. The layout of the place was fine; it had a courtyard in the middle. I especially liked the sitting areas, there were lots of them. I met Corey, but I didn't really want to get close to anybody else because of COVID, and she's really good.

My wife is residing at the Brookdale Tequesta memory care unit. She doesn't need assistance except for eating, bathing, and toileting, and they seem adequate, but not great. You can book transportation for doctors' appointments, and there's no charge for that. They serve three meals a day. They have some activities just about every day, like Bingo, and exercising, or yoga every morning, but it's mostly sitting in a chair, and there's usually music. Occasionally, they'll have a group come in and perform. It's a warehouse for people in that condition.

This is the best memory care. I chose it for my great aunt because she would not be happy with no outdoor space . There is a really nice yard with a mailbox and garden. The staff are so nice and the location is great. There is even a salon. It is not that fancy but felt more comfy than the other fancy places because my great aunt is comfy not fancy. The place is spotless and always smells good.
