My mother lived at Elmcroft for the past 3 years and she was always treated with the utmost courtesy, respect and compassion. The facility is immaculate inside and out with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The restaurant style dining room serves delicious food with a varying menu and is accommodating to individual tastes. The staff are honest, caring, respectful and know and call every resident by name. We were very pleased with our experience at Elmcroft and had absolutely no complaints. This is a first class facility. My brother and I joke that we want to live there, too!

I took my mom to Sodalis Tampa. It was okay. They have a main dining area activity center of the complex, and it looked like a bunch of people with their faces in their plates of food. The staff was good. The facility was nice, clean, and very well-kept, but it's just the rooms were so small. You put a regular twin or a full-sized bed in that room, there's nothing else. That's how small it was.

Overall, Sodalis Tampa was an okay facility. It was clean. Everybody was very nice and very forthcoming with what they could and couldn't do. They had a patio. Their outdoor spaces were okay.

I toured Sodalis Tampa for my friend. They were very good and very nice. The facilities seem very well run and they have rehab people there. They had doctors if they needed them. That place had like 120 residents. It looked more like a professional type of place. You brought in your bed and your dresser or whatever. They had a cheaper way of doing it because it was like two people in one facility where there are two separate bedrooms and then they have like a small area with a refrigerator and a small living area, I guess you'd call it a den. They had a courtyard, a library, and a rehab area. The staff was very good and very informative. They helped me a lot. The facility looked good. Everything looked good.

Sodalis Tampa was a nice place. However, it was too far, it was too big, it was laid out badly, and they wanted too much money. It's kind of in a U, so if you live on one side of the U and you want to go to dinner, you have to walk back through the lobby to get to the dining room. The place itself was very nice. The lady was very nice, but their add-on costs were high. No elevators, but everything was far. It was a long walk from everything. They had a bistro in the lobby and an arts and crafts room where there were some people painting, but there was nobody in there. There were just two residents painting paint by numbers.

Sodalis Tampa was a great place. The facility was super clean. Everything looks really good. The staff was really nice, very personable, and did a great job explaining everything. The rooms were very clean and well put together. They had a little courtyard in the middle, which was nice.

We visited Sodalis Tampa for my grandmother. It was very nice and very clean, they did some updates and it's nice. The people that live there seem very friendly and happy, it's just a nice place. I met the director and the sales staff, and both of them were nice, they did a good job. They were doing some upgrades on the rooms, I looked at a few and I like the options that they had. The upkeep is very nice, they did a good job and it's well-kept. Compared to a couple of other homes that I went to, this one was nice. For the price, we're happy with what they're offering. It was a good option. We didn't try the food but we looked at the menu, it looked nice and they have a good variety. The dining room was nice, open, and welcoming. They had a nice garden area in the center that you can walk through. And they have areas where they can do gardening in addition to the pretty garden they have, they were growing some things and had some bird feeders. They had a calendar on the wall where they had events planned out every day.

As soon as I walked in at Sodalis Tampa, I did not feel like I was in a very welcoming place at all. I felt it was very clinical coming in. The staff seemed a little chaotic. Based on observations, I think the receptionist was probably in training which I understand. I know they were training her, but how they trained almost seemed like they were reprimanding her in front of people. To me, that was very unprofessional. And I probably sat there for half an hour before a sales director came out to me. The residents didn't seem happy as I was walking through. During their lunchtime, the residents just seemed to be very solemn. They don't seem to be very happy. Their indoor facilities were clean, but when you go out in the walkway areas, it was kind of messy.

Sodalis Tampa was a little dated, but they were refurbishing. They showed me some of the rooms that they were doing. I was only there for an hour or so. All I saw was the place itself. I really didn't see any interaction with anybody. The staff during the tour was very helpful, very pleasant, and answered all my questions. She followed up with me just to see how I was doing with my mother. They had a salon, but they were refurbishing it. When I was there, the activities room was closed off. It was really just a quick tour, but I really liked it. I thought it was very nice. Everything was very clean. There was no clutter.

My overall experience at Elmcroft of Carrollwood was great. The staff members were friendly and knowledgeable, and they answered all my questions. The facility itself was clean and decorated nice. The room was the perfect size. They have laundry services, cleaning services, and hair salons. They offer an ice cream parlor, drink bar 24/7, and a muffin station. All of those are part of the amenities. The location is good. It's a little far from where I stay, but it is doable if I choose that spot. They do gardening, they do dance classes, and they go to different spots around town.

I like Elmcroft of Carrollwood. It's a little bit more open and it had a nice garden area. The others were just a little bit too enclosed. It was the nicest of the ones I visited. All of the staff was wonderful. They showed me the one-bedrooms, and they also showed me the people in the library drawing, writing, etc. I liked their grounds.

Elmcroft of Carrollwood was pretty nice, but it's a little expensive. They have an area where you can walk around (like a sidewalk), and there are some trees there. The staff was pretty nice and tried to help out and show us around. It was pretty clean. They took some people out on a shopping spree when we visited.

Elmcroft of Carrollwood was good, and I liked them. The grounds were nice and close by. The rooms were excellent. I liked how they had walk-in showers instead of tubs. They had activities, like spiritual worship service.

Elmcroft of Carrolwood was very clean. I went on a Saturday and spoke to the residents, and they really like the place. I met a lot of guys that were from the military like my father. They showed me around the place and they had really nice big rooms -- suites, double-rooms, and one that was almost like a small condo. There was like a park in the middle, which I really liked, and then the memory care unit was on the other side for my mother. My father could have been there the whole time, and she could have been on the other side. It would have been really easy for him to get there. I liked the idea that it was on a single floor; it wasn’t the up and down kind of thing. Their dining room was very nice and looked almost like a restaurant, and then they had a snack bar, an ice-cream bar, and different things that were open all the time for the residents. It was the cleanest out of all of them; it was immaculate. The people were really nice and helpful, and the nurse that walked me around was really nice. She actually knew everybody’s names, and that was impressive. It was in a good location.

Elmcroft was my second choice. It was very clean and had a lively atmosphere. The staff was good and showed me around. It was a nice place. They were good, talked with me, and gave me the month's activities highlighted with what I would like to do, so I would know that we could do that. They had religious activities every week and mass once a month. They served three meals a day and would take me to doctors' appointments.

Elmcroft was all on one floor; it was very clean and nice. The rooms were very nice; they had shared rooms. Nice dining room, activity room, hair salon, and nice area for sitting outside also. They had a barbecue and movie nights.

I liked Elmcroft a lot; the woman we met was very nice. She gave us a tour, and they had a lot of options for floor plan. My dad thought it was too far away though. The rooms were not huge, but I liked the variety of choices, and they were adequate.

One of the reasons that we chose Elmcroft for my mom is because they have a nurse on staff. We got a bedroom for her, and it was perfect. They have a large dining room, and basically, the food is pretty good. The people were very attentive and accommodating. They fix popcorn every afternoon, the residents are free to come and go and walk around, and they also have a van that takes them to different places.

The staff of Elmcroft Carrollwood was very friendly and very helpful. As far as I am concerned based on two other facilities that I had visited, it was the best facility in the area. They told me that if they were serving food that someone didn't like, they would cook a special meal for them. Every day they would have activities. I think the prices were a little too high especially when you are trying to place someone, and they have no funds. The rooms were very clean, very spacious, and the bedrooms and accommodations that they provide for the people were very nice. There were lots of sitting areas, and they had pretty much screened it up, so there was security for someone who had Alzheimer's. They basically cater to the person they were going to be watching. There was only one way in and one way out, which I liked. You had to go through a lot of people before you go out.

My father was a resident of Elmcroft of Carrollwood for almost two years and would still be there if his health had not declined. He enjoyed being there with his many friends and felt like the staff was very caring and did a great job assisting him with his daily needs for meds, meals, cleaning, etc. My husband and I felt comfortable with the quality of his care and assistance at Elmcroft. We still have friends among the staff working there and would recommend Elmcroft to anyone considering having a friend or relative move into an assisted living facility.

I was a resident at Elmcroft of Carrollwood for almost a year. The whole experience was the feeling like being part of a caring and loving family. Everyone from the staff to administration, to other residence were so happy and helpful! My love to all and miss seeing your smiling faces!

I like the staff at Elmcroft of Carrollwood. This was my second choice in terms of ranking. The staff was very helpful. I talked to some of their residents and they all like the place. I like the rooms. They were spacious. There was not a lot of availability, so your choices were limited, but the layout of the room was good. It was easy to manage when you have a wheelchair or a walker. There was lots of room. They had a good number of activities. I saw people having an ice cream social . I would recommend Elmcroft to others. I like the staff interaction there. I did see a lot of staff interaction and that was very positive for the residents.

I like Elmcroft of Carrollwood because of the diverse mix of people, the openness, the airiness and the amount of activities that they have. The sanitation is excellent. My mother's room is great. It is an open area room, and then she has a bathroom with a great shower that allows her to sit. It has a little sink, a cupboard, a refrigerator and a microwave. It has a really nice big dining area that all the residents dine together and they pair the people up really nicely. My mother seems to like the food. The staff is excellent. They know all the residents by name. They are just a great bunch of people. I would absolutely give them the highest recommendation.

My father is living here ( as was my step mother). This facility has been a wonderful answer to thier needs. We have found the staff to be very didicated and caring. They have gone out of there way to make an ever changing situation work. My father enjoys the food and there are many activites to participate in. Setting is lovely as well. The rooms have been freshly renovated and the building always feels clean. The layout of the building makes it easy for him to find his way around. The Courtyard make him feel like he has a view of a park.

Elmcroft of Carrollwood was adequate. It was clean. They were enthusiastic. The staff was very nice, but it just didn't offer all the things that the other ones did. The rooms were nice. They weren't nasty or dirty; they were OK. If that was the need of the person living in there, then it would be great. If the person moving in there wanted to feel more like he was in an apartment, then that would not be the place to go. The sanitation was good. It did not have stained carpeting, nor did it have anything glaringly wrong with it.

I found a place for my father at Elmcroft of Carrollwood. They have more men than women, and they had a lot of vets, so we felt Dad would have more in common with the residents. It’s more like a hotel than a hospital.

I have a family member that lives there now. If I could afford to move her I would, she has had numerous problems with this facility, med's missing, supplies missing from her room that we bought, staff cut back so only 3 people in whole building to watch over everyone. The place used to be Hearthstone and they allowed people to keep their med's in their rooms, after Elmcroft took over they would not allow this and took over the daily med's. They put some of her med's in the refrigerator in med tech room and forgot about them for almost two months, we could not figure out why my sister was in so much pain and seemed to be regressing, she literally laided in bed for almost two months in pain until the Head Nurse who runs the Med tech department found them in her own refrigerator??? I have had several problems with her med's, I had to call today and see why she didn't get a new antibotic that was delivered yesterday from the pharmacist. I now call ahead and talk to the pharmacy before I call Elmcrodt so I can find out what is really going on. Why do I have to do their job, isn't that what I pay that large amount of money for???

Each facility that I have visited have all been near a hospital. They did an excellent job providing personal care services and transportation for my family members that stayed there. They had real strict visitation hours but I won't hold that against them. They prepped and served Delicious meals daily and also kept the facility clean. My grandfather stays at the Elmcroft and has for 4 years now. He has been not had a single bad experience or statement to say about the community and staff. It feels good to know that you family is taken care of and in good hands. They are in a quite community with a water surrounding, park for the elderly to visit and bask in the sun, and also a mall strip just a few blocks away should they want to go shopping. As long as they continue to treat the tenants as they do, I'll continue to speak well about the Elmcroft and my great experiences going there.

The staff seemed very nice, most everyone was courteous and smiled when I visited. Most of the time her flowers where neatly arranged and she (my neighbor) seemed pretty comfortable. There was one afternoon that I visited however and her room was dark and very cold. It made me a little sad to see her lying in her bed shivering and freezing cold, I had to go get her an extra blanket and I'm still really not sure why her drapes were closed on such a nice sunny day. My neighbor's son, Conrad, moved his Mom from this facility into Hospice relatively soon after she had arrived. When I asked him why, he told me that he had an issue with the staff, that his Mom had been neglected and that she had fallen down and hit her head. He moved his Mom pretty far and I was not able to see her too often after that, but when I did see her she never confirmed that before she passed away.

My experience of Hearthstone is positive. Every time I visit, I encounter staff as I walk down the hall to my friend's room. (She is afflicted with early Alzheimer's.) As I escort my friend down the hall she is able to communicate to staff her needs and is often given opportunity to meet with a staff member immediately to remedy her need (as in change of medication). Staff members I have spoken to have all been cheerful, enthusiastic and professional. My friend says that the food is bland but the meals are balanced and healthy. My friend has a few resident friends that she spends time with and she is fond of the staff members. on her wing that work with her. The rooms, hallways and common areas are kept clean. Residents may play the piano in the lobby and social events are usually well attended.
