Brookdale Stuart was a little outdated. It was quite a bit older and maybe a little too small. It was dark and not as bright, not as joyful, and cheerful. The staff was good, though.

Brookdale Stuart was great. It was lovely. The management was great people. They gave me all the answers that I requested answers for. They were very courteous people. They called me with concern if I had made choices to pick another place. The apartments were beautiful and spacious. If I had the finances, I would have chosen them. It seems they have a great menu. I've seen the people that were there seem to be quite content.

Brookdale Stuart is a small facility, which I thought was so nice. They don't have some of the amenities as some of the bigger assisted living facilities. It seems to me that they concentrate more on the care of the residents. All the residents we talked to gave good reviews and liked living there. I think that's important. The employees were really nice. They don't have a gym or pool. It's an older facility, but it's clean and well kept.

I would like to commend you for your creation of such a wonderful and affordable concept for anyone who needs day to day assistance to fulfill their daily routines, activities and comfort. The Brookdale Stuart staff, nurses aids, nurses, housekeeping, dining services, has given my Mom the best care and has filled her days with enjoyable moments and new memories with her new group of friends. The staff takes the time to learn about the lives of their residents and enjoys the life history of each and every resident. Brookdale Stuart is a small quaint community that gives my mom the feeling of being home. The highest compliment we could pay as we encounter others is to recommend to them that they explore Brookdale Stuart assisted living because we consider it to be the "benchmark" for assisted living programs. Thank you for giving my Mom the opportunity to be a member of the Brookdale Stuart family when she suddenly needed assistance with her activities of daily living. We’d also like to compliment all of the Administrative staff for their role in a smooth move in process with short notice. The Executive Director Wendy, Health and Wellness Director Dawn, Sales Manager Glen are a caring exceptional team that turned my moms worries into worry free days. Thank you,
Jim

My mother moved into Brookdale Stuart, and they are very caring people. It's a very small and friendly atmosphere where people give very good attention to the residents. My mother's room is a 1-bedroom with a living room, a small kitchenette and a bathroom with showers, it's very nice. They have a larger bedroom suite, and I'm not sure if they have a two-bedroom or not, but they have larger rooms. They have an entertainment director. They have an entertainment area, they have a TV area, and they also have a courtyard in which they have two tortoises and a couple of bunny rabbits, which is interesting. My mother can go outside, read, and spend a little time with animals. They have a beauty salon where she gets her hair done, and where she gets a mani-pedi. They have bus rides to where they take them out for bus trips down to the beach, downtown, and have picnics. The staff is wonderful. I like the facility because it's not too big. They lack a little bit for the activities.

My mother moved into Brookdale Stuart. We chose it because of convenience and the fact that it takes Medicaid. They've been very accommodating and very nice. They've made adjustments for everything that I had issues with, and everything seems to be working out OK. The food is not all soft food, it's not just mashed potatoes. They're very accommodating to what my mom can eat and how she eats. She's basically a finger food person, but she will eat anything. She just has to eat with her hands, and they're not giving her mush. They're giving her real meals. They have a TV. There's not a whole lot of activities that any of them can do, but they've got a nice little courtyard with some wild animals in there, little bunnies, and a turtle that they can go out and give lettuce to, and whatnot. They also watch game shows. It's a nice facility.

I went to Brookdale Stuart. It's closer to my house. It's very nice, they have nice facilities, a nice library, and they have very nice game rooms. We saw two rooms, one was a studio, and the other one was a one-bedroom. I went there twice. The dining area was very nice, with nice tables, and the people seemed to know each other. They had a pool, but it's an older place, and it's not as open as the other place I saw. The lady was very nice.

Brookdale Stuart was a nice and small environment, which might be good for someone who needs more care. My father is quite mobile, but he's not quite at that level yet. It's more intimate and more like a home. It was designed well. It's an older building, and there were more restrictions coming in and out. The directors were very attentive, courteous, and made you feel welcome.

We placed my mother-in-law in Brookdale Stuart. Its the best thing we ever did, and the staff is fabulous. The food is excellent and the chef is wonderful. My mom is flourishing and doing better than ever. She does tai chi and goes on trips, shopping, picnics, to the zoo, and shes out every single day. Shes never in her room. I think its expensive but worth it.

My dad is at Brookdale Stuart. The grounds are beautiful, the building is quaint, brand new inside, and the help is wonderful. He calls it his new home, he enjoys the food, and he enjoys the people. They treat him with a lot of respect. We have nothing negative to say.

Brookdale Stuart was a very nice place. It was homey and very clean. I didn’t see any confusion with the residents there. As you walk in, there was a nice room, and it smelled real clean. The staff was very pleasant.

We liked Brookdale Stuart and everything about it, including the dining and the cleanliness. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and answered our questions. We considered it, but we did not go any further because their price was too close to our income.

I actually looked at the Brookdale in Stuart, but they don’t have a memory care unit. It’s small and seemed a little cozier, more intimate. You felt like you were at home there. All of the folks were sitting and listening to Frank Sinatra, and it looked like they just had lunch or something, so they were all kind of just sitting around this living room area. The TV was on and some were watching while some were singing, so it had a home-like environment. It looked very well managed and not chaotic.

I thought Brookdale Stuart was good. They’re set up for what they do, and they’re doing a good job of it. I got to see a lot of the residents. They had a fire drill so the majority of the people living there was out in the main room in the lobby. They were far beyond what my parents are, as far as their health, and it would have been a very depressing place for them to live. It felt more like a nursing home. It was clean; there were no smells to it. The staff was very nice. As much time as I needed to have questions, I never felt like I was trying to be rushed out the door. The rooms were nice and laid out well, but I felt like it was not right at the stage of life that my parents are in right now.

I had a visit at Brookdale. The community was warm. The staff was fantastic, helpful, responsible, and attentive. The facilities were clean and pleasant. The people or the community population was personable. They were social. It was a really nice atmosphere. It was homey. The only criticism I would have, and it was really detrimental to my decision, was that when we were interviewed by the representative, we were given verbal promises that the administration would not implement. They were statements that were not true, we found out later. The administration was rude, non-accommodating, and demanding. However, they had in-house nurses and visiting doctors, and the in-house nurses were fabulous.

Sterling House is smaller and a little more expensive. I think they are also recently being bought out, so maybe they might be making some changes. It is actually the closest for me, and it would have been nice if they were just a little better. It would have been easier for me to go back and forth to visit. I didn't like it quite as much. I really didn't see much of the staff. I saw a lady that took me on the tour, and she was very nice. The one thing I like about it is that it is in the shape of a square, and they have a beautiful outside area where people can go. You don't have to worry about them wandering or getting lost because it was fully enclosed outside. It just wasn't quite as good. The one problem with Sterling House is they don't accept anybody on Medicaid.

Sterling House is an excellent skilled nursing house; we are very happy with it and their perfect care. They had monitored her physical and medical conditions perfectly. They are more concerned about her medical care and well-being than how much money they get from us. It’s a little outdated, but it’s very clean.

Sterling House was very clean, and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The grounds were well kept, and it was located in a nice neighborhood. It was a smaller facility and more expensive than the others. I had a very nice chat with the person who is in charge. She showed me a room that belonged to another lady, and the room was very nice. It had a separate little sitting area from the sleeping area. The dining area was set up pretty to be intimate. I was impressed by the friendliness of the people as soon as I walked in the front door.

My mother and I toured Sterling House of Stuart, and this is a smaller community, but the thing that turned my mother off was that you need to press a buzzer when you want to get in and out of the facility, and that concerns my mom very much because she is claustrophobic. They have activities for the residents, and their dining area is very small. The fact that it's a small community, I think the good thing is that the residents and their employees know each other well.

Sterling House of Stuart looked good but it was also small. As a whole, it was good for very acute care than your average assisted living, which was good. However, my mother didn't need that much care.

Sterling House was kind of a mixed community. Aside from people with assisted living needs, they also have some dementia people too. It was more diverse community. If I have the money, that would be the place for my mother! It was beautiful but it was too expensive. It was also very secure. The facility was like a big square, so if you go in the hallway, any way you go, you're going to end up in the same place. Nobody would get lost there. They have a beautiful courtyard outside that was surrounded by the building, and again, nobody is going to escape when they go there. They did have beautiful gardens and beautiful porch. I like those too. They also have nice dining room. Their rooms were spacious enough. I think they have the biggest rooms of all the places I've been. They did not have the option of shared rooms but they did have larger and smaller rooms. I like the sizes of their rooms actually. They also have all kinds of activities for their residents. They have baby dolls and cribs for the women to play with. They have arts, card games, bingo, etc. The staff was very friendly. They would acknowledge you right away. They were very sympathetic. They were very polite and very helpful.

Sterling House was a small facility. The administration knew everybody. It had a family oriented atmosphere. The residents looked happy. However it's a little bit further away and a bit more expensive.

We chose Sterling House because of its good reputation and location. It's a smaller facility, so the staff know the people. They treat the residents as individuals. The rooms are kept clean, there's no odor. The food is good. We actually sat down and ate dinner with my father-in-law. It's quite satisfactory.

Sterling House of Stuart is a very nice small assisted living provider in Stuart, Florida. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The building is wekk designed, clean and attractive. The food is very good, some of the fruits and veggies are grown in the on site garden. The residents were cheerful and seemed to be enjoying themselves. This would be a pleasant place for a senior to live and the location is close to shopping, medical care and professional services.
