My mom has already moved to Heron East. The place was good, they were very nice, it's a nice place and it's very clean. It was a very easy process for them. She has been participating in a lot of the activities, they do card games, they do movie afternoons, and bingo. So I know that she's been doing a lot of activities. Everybody seems very nice so we haven't had any issues at all. She seems very happy there.

I visited Heron East. The people there were amazing. The woman I met was good. It seems very clean, and it seemed like the rooms for my parents were probably too small though. That's the one reason I probably would not go with them. But the people were amazing, and it seemed like they had a lot of activities and things like that. The staff was great. The thing that I loved about her was, she wasn't a salesperson. I told her I was in the beginning stages of searching, and she even told me of other options that I might want to go with that don't include the place. She was trying to help me, and not trying to sell just the place to me. She was giving me other ideas of what I could get for my parents; that is very sincere. They had some outdoor spaces and they also had common areas where they had activities. There was a lot of light coming in, which was nice, like the tall ceilings and light. The thing is the people that took me around and the feel was good. But I think for my parents who are coming from a two-bedroom apartment, the rooms are too small.

When I first pulled into Heron East, I thought it was very small. Then I realized as I went around the corner, I was looking at the end of it. The end of it faces the road, not the front of it. It was long and had a nice entranceway. It was pouring down rain, and they had a nice roof that came way out for you to get under, so you didn't get wet. They were having a happy hour when I went in. They had a guy in there singing the old 50's songs like Fats Domino, Blueberry Hill, and that kind of music and country music. It was very good. There were a lot of people sitting all around the room listening and having drinks. They seemed to be enjoying it. The lady running it was the one who showed me around, she was very nice. I like the place, it was nice, too. The place is laid out in a figure eight, and in the very center, they have a garden where you can go out to. You go through these French doors, outside into a garden, and they raise rabbits out there. They have all kinds of plants. The rabbits are just running around in the plants, and there are benches out there. You can sit and watch the rabbits.

The tour at Heron East was fine. We had set up the appointment but when we got there, nobody knew we were supposed to be there. But they made accommodations and they were able to show us around. Heron East is very nice. For the dining, they had a particular time they had to go and eat. They had activities and stuff, it was nice. But compared to the newer facility we toured, it's apples and oranges. For the same price, if not more, at the other place and I was not as nice of a facility of the brand new place for the price. The person who showed us around was very good. They have an outdoor space that's like a walking space along the canal. The dining area was more restaurant type, it was sit-down eating. They had a library and place for them to play games, they had a counter as well of activities.

Heron East was nice. The place was very nice, very clean and the passages were wide. They had black leather seats with tables, so if you have company, you can sit out there and relax. Those were very nice, I liked that. But I think it's a little bit out of my sister's reach. The staff that I talked to was very keen to go through all things and then to explain everything to us. She was a nice person, and to be honest, I would put my sister there. But I think it's not affordable for us. They have single rooms and they have rooms that you have to share. It's not as nice as the other one we toured because they don't have any personal garage or parking area, but all in all, it was ok.

I visited Heron East, and I found it was average. It was okay. It was not anything to jump up and down about. I only went for an interview. I talked to one person, and we did a little walk around. It is older, but it was clean. The rooms are small, and the apartment rooms are small. It is very centrally located.

My aunt seems to like Heron East. The only complaint that she really has is when they come in her room, they're in and out really fast, but that's typical at any place. She said a lot of times, the food was cold when they brought it to her. She said they get their meals usually in the afternoon and they get sandwiches in the evening, which I think is kinda typical. Activities are available to her, but she is not able to do anything really, and she prefers to just stay in her room. Her room is clean and small, and there's no kitchen area. There's a little area where she can put a coffee pot, and that's about it.

My mother-in-law was living in Heron East before she passed away. It's for assisted living, but they said they go up until level three. Whenever we were there visiting which was every week, and my niece went almost every day, they were very nice when you're there, but they weren't so nice when nobody was there, and we didn't appreciate it. She wasn't happy there, but she didn't want to move. Her room was a pretty nice room, the person that was supposed to come in and clean, they did not do well at that. All they did was vacuum the floor and supposedly clean the bathroom, but whenever I came, I had to do it. The food was okay. They're not honest, they make promises, they don't answer phone calls, they don't reply when there's a reply, they don't always call, like she fell twice, and we didn't find out 'til the next day, or we found out when she got to the hospital. I think it would be reasonable if they did everything they said they wanna do.

Heron East was a very nice assisted living place. The manager and some of the staff I met were very nice, friendly, and competent. It's a very cheerful place, but mostly for people in wheelchairs and with walkers. It was very nicely laid out. There were many little places for people to sit down, read or occupy yourself without being all the time in a crowd. The rooms were all studios, not very large, but sufficient. They had little gardens. It's on a very busy road, but it's awfully nice inside.

My mother has been in Heron East. It's wonderful. She does the trivia, they do exercises every day, she goes up and they read the paper, and on Thursdays they have happy hour. There's always something going on. It's just an all-around clean, happy, good food place. They take them to the Dollar Store once a week, and twice a month they take them out to dinner if they want. They have two courtyards where they can go out and sit. The staff is excellent.

Heron East was excellent. I have had two tours there and both went very well. The staff member I spoke with was very helpful. They have meals every day, a nice game room where they do a lot of activities, and a nice library. The 1-bedrooms were not really spacious, but they're very nice. They always have a nurse on duty. The menu looked very good.

Heron East was very nice, professional, and very direct to the point. They didn’t waste my time; I like that. They don’t have the services we needed for Alzheimer’s because they didn’t have memory care. They were able to talk to me about the needs of my parents, and we were able to discern that. They didn’t have down the road what my mother might need as he has Alzheimer’s. They were efficient, so we were able to determine it wasn’t the place very quickly. I didn’t even have an appointment, but they were very gracious.

The people at Heron East were very friendly and gave us tours of the different types of rooms. We went over the pricing and stuff like that. Overall, it was a pretty good experience. It was beautiful, nice and cheery, and the residents were pretty happy with what they have. They do arts and crafts and have nice grounds where they can go outside to spend the day out. They have transportation services to doctors, shopping, field trips, and salons. You have to eat in the dining room. They had large studios but no separate bedroom spaces.

The staff at Heron East spent time with us during our visit. They were very good and efficient. The rooms were of a nice size and very updated. The place is modern. We were not able to eat there, but their dining room is very spacious and nicely set up.

We looked at Heron East for my mother. It really was very nice, but the rooms were really small, and that was the turn-off right there. With regards to the staff, I didn't like the waitresses. They were rude. I had lunch there, and the waitress was rude to all these old folks. The food was OK though.

Heron East was very well run. The employees had been there for a long time. There was no big turnover. They were very attentive. My mom enjoyed her time there. The rooms were beautiful. The food was good. They let everybody order what they want. They had a walkway that goes all around the building. They also have bingo, parties, entertainment, and movies.

The people are very friendly and very informative, and Heron East fit the price range of my friend. They have mostly activities in the afternoon. They do beach volleyball, bingo, horseracing, word games, and chair exercises primarily.

My dad says the staff at Heron East is very nice, and the food is very good. It doesn’t seem like there’s a ton of activities. The room seemed very nice and clean. I like the bathrooms. Their showers are walk-in showers. They’re very nice and very safe, and my dad can bathe himself in that type of shower.

I like the person that gave us the tour at Heron East. She showed us what they had. They had a lovely room there; however, because my brother had equipment like his walker and, wheelchair, and he wanted his full size couch and queen size bed, it was too small. They only had four large rooms, and they were inhabited by people, and he would be on the waiting list. Other than that, it was very clean, and they had been voted most popular by the families in the area. So, they had high ratings. They took us to lunch and it was fine. I really liked everything about the place.

My mother moved to Heron East about 3 years ago. She has adjusted very well and participates in the many activities provided by the facility. Heron East has a caring and compassionate staff from the housekeepers to the administrators. I am very pleased with all aspects of my mother's care at Heron East and have recommended the facility to many of my friends with elderly family needing assisted living.
