My dad moved to Harbor Chase from another local Assisted Living Facility about 5 years ago. He liked the Linen tablecloths and "real" napkins. They had just opened and the place was and remains absolutely beautiful. Dad wasn't really cut out for assisted living life when he moved in as he was quite independent, stubborn, and sometimes a bit grouchy. The staff would have none of it and worked on him tirelessly to get him more involved. In short order we witnessed quite a change as dad was no longer available because of the afternoon poker game, the field trips to all sorts of destinations, and other scheduled events. We were relived, happy, and even a bit surprised at the change they were able to make as he seemed to now embrace the assisted living experience. We were happy since his medications were monitored and dispensed and with the fantastic dining room he was eating more healthy than he had in years. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff, I just do not know where to start. From the people that maintain the facility, the medical staff, the dining staff, I could go on for way too long with compliments about all of them. My original thoughts of Assisted Living in general were of my grandmother basically locked in a nursing home for her last years. HarborChase opened my eyes to an entire new concept and I would without hesitation recommend HarborChase of Sarasota to anyone looking for assisted living for themselves or a relative.

My husband was a resident there for 15 months. It started out quite nice in early 2023. Then care staff, nurses, and management staff started leaving. More and more Spanish speaking care staff were hired that couldn’t even communicate with individuals with dementia or family members. Families were told to use “Google Translator” to communicate. There were constant staffing shortages. There were times there was only 1 care staff at night for 40 or more residents. There were times when there was only 1 nurse available to look after both Memory Care and Assisted Living residents. Memory care is a neglected area at Harborchase. Chairs, tables, and floors are not cleaned regularly, food is very minimal and full of carbs. Pasta and potatoes are served on the same plate with very little meat. Soups are cold. There is not enough staff to serve residents their meals so family members are needed to distribute food and beverages and cut up meat that residents can’t cut on their own. Residents laundry isn’t done as scheduled and many items were lost during our stay there. Management is ineffective- promising to make changes when there are serious complaints but then nothing changes. We had no choice but to leave the facility.

HarborChase of Sarasota is amazing, just way too expensive. This is like a five-star facility. It's a very high-end facility. It is beautiful and immaculate. It smells good. It's the Tiffany's of retail versus Target. The facility is gorgeous. The staff is top notch. We had cookies. We had popcorn and all kinds of stuff there. They have like Ruth's Chris' former chef there (that's why I said this is like the creme de la creme of places).

We went to see HarborChase of Sarasota. It was very good. It was one that my father wanted to go back to. That's where we had the two meals, and the food was very good. That's one of the finalists for my father. He liked it very much. They had a beautiful dining room. They had an extra bar area where you could play games. It was very nice and clean. The rooms were good. Both staff members who gave the tours were very good. The staff was very, very helpful, especially for the two meals that we had. We met the athletic director and the physical therapy person. They were all very, very informative and very helpful. I think he just like the place because it looked new, and it was clean. He just liked the way it was decorated and the lighting. He just felt comfortable there. The only negative is that it was a little bit more expensive than some of the other place. It was very nicely laid out and clean.

My sister lived in the memory care here. This facility was wonderful to her from the very start. She loved the food, the entertainment was wonderful and she was always well kept when I came to visit. The management team was always friendly and returned calls quickly. The staff who work there had big hearts and took great care of my sister even on her worst days. There was a beautiful courtyard in the memory care that gave a lot of light to the facility and to her bedroom. I would recommend to anyone looking for memory care.

My husband's grandmother used to live in the memory care section of HarborChase of Sarasota. I think the staff did a great job with her, and we would sometimes take her outside. They had a TV area, they had a big card table, lots of puzzles, and there was an area where they would have their activities. She loved the food there.

We liked HarborChase of Sarasota the best. They've got lovely apartments. The staff was very good. The dining room looked nice. The whole place was very clean and neat. It felt more youthful and better than the other places.

My father was in Harbor Chase, which is superb in every category. The facility is great and new, the people care about the residents, and they promote a kinship among the residents. They pay attention to detail and treat my dad as a person, not just a piece of meat. They have a great chef and menu. They provide meals for the relatives in a private room or the residents' rooms room-service style. The head nurse is top notch, and the staff go the extra mile. It's not the cheapest and not the most expensive one, and is good value for your dollar.

The care at HarborChase of Sarasota has been excellent. Everything about the place is excellent -- the care and how they feel about their clients. The food is excellent. I can find absolutely nothing wrong with this place.

Harbor Chase looked like a beautiful resort that cost $5,000 a month. The staff was very helpful and on top of it. The rooms were a good size with plenty of space and had amenities.

HarborChase of Sarasota is a new facility, so they don't have everything in place. The cost was fair, and everything is in great shape. It's smallish, and our ambassador, Don, did a nice job of showing us what they had. The rooms were too small for us, and they had activities, but it's nice.

HarborChase of Sarasota was a beautiful place but well out of our means. It was very nice and very new. The people were very nice. The drawback to it was that you had to bring your own furniture, which would be nice for some people, but I'm not moving our bed anywhere. The idea was to have something that she's familiar with in the room, but in our case, it would've been better to have them go ahead and furnish it. They had a closed-off and locked-up area, but they're more designed for group things, like going out on a bus. They have trips and go shopping. They had a very nice set up.

HarborChase of Sarasota was brand new and beautiful but too expensive. The staff was very nice, professional, and very informative. They explained every question we had, everything they do, and about the programs. It's like a high-end hotel.

My mother is very happy and very satisfied with HarborChase. The staff is wonderful, she likes the food, and there aren't any complaints about the place. She moved in last February.

HarborChase was like a five-Star resort hotel. I would move into that place. They had a bar, and everything. I’m not sure it was appropriate for somebody who really needed assisted living. They had a nice little schedule of different activities, and what not they would do. I got a tour from a lady. She was very nice, efficient, and showed me all the amenities. It’s a beautiful place, but I think anyone who moves there would be somebody who is not so dependent for assistance.

HarborChase of Sarasota was not yet open when we were there, but it looked like it was going to be a small but very nice and comfortable facility. It had no swimming pool or outdoor activities areas, but it was very nice.
