My father moved into Grand Villa of Sarasota. It was very nice. The staff was very kind. The facilities were beautiful, very attractive, and well furnished. Everything's beautiful there. The staff members are very concerned, always check with him, and see what he needs. They take very good care of him. They bring their furniture in there. It's a big room. He is just really happy with it, and so are we. There are five or six things they can do every day. I know he does the walk.

We toured Grand Villa of Sarasota. So far, we like it. I liked that it is close to the good things in Sarasota like the theaters, and it is right next to a nice Chinese place. But it also had like three meals a day and the meals looked decent. I like that their main meal is at lunchtime; I think that is a good idea. I like it a lot, it is just we're not ready yet. It seemed clean and the people seemed nice. They showed us the room and the room was already decorated with furniture in it to show people. It was very organized. They had this booth-type thing on each floor that was locked and had everybody's names on it and everybody's pills, and everything was very organized. The other places weren't as organized. The person who took us around was great. Another thing, you didn't have to move. At the other place, you had to move to another room if you wanted assisted living. At Grand Villa, you stay in the same room, you just have some extra help. I wouldn't want to move out of my room after I'm living there. They give you extra help. Of course, you have to pay more for extra help, but at least you can stay in that room. I thought the cleanliness was good. It didn't smell at all or anything.

The Grand Villa of Sarasota didn't have a patio. Everyone was friendly and nice. The guy who gave the tour was nice. It's like a family-owned business. The tour was great. I like the rooms. They were comparable to the other facility. It made sense for what they offered to be priced the way it was. The thing that they're most proud of, which is pretty cool, is that they have a guy whose whole job is just to drive a gold Cadillac and drive people around. It will be a place where I would want to live. If you don't care about having your own outdoor space, then it's perfect. Everything was nice, and the people were having fun.

I've visited the Grand Villa of Sarasota. The floor plans in the rooms were excellent, with kitchenettes that were nice. I was looking at a two-bedroom and they were very nicely laid out. The staff was excellent and the activities and their program plans were full. So there wasn't a lack there. I like the idea that if you go from independent living to assisted living, you don't move, but their assisted living comes to you. I like its location, it's close to town, and they have transportation services available to go to the grocery store or places. If you're ambulatory, it's an easy walking distance from the town with outdoor cafes and stuff. So it was quite nice. It was under relatively new ownership and the facility was being renovated.

I love Grand Villa of Sarasota. You walked past staff and it was 'hi or hello, how are you?' that kind of thing. The people were so very friendly, and the place was extremely inviting. I very much liked it. If I had just a tad more money, there wouldn't be a question, I would go there. It was a one-bedroom apartment, and I loved the fact that it had what I would call a kitchenette. It had a small stove, a small refrigerator, a sink, and a couple of cabinets in it. There are things that you like, that you have a favorite food, and it would be nice to be able to make your own stuff once in a while, and that pleased me with having the ability to make my own things if I chose to. I asked residents if they liked it there, and everybody's answer was yes. I was impressed with it. It's very clean and it's very nice. It's across the street from a nice big senior activity center, so if you didn't find enough things within the property there, you could cross the street and find something. It was just wonderful.

I visited Grand Villa of Sarasota simply because I liked the location. It's downtown. However, they did not have much land mass and it was quite small. That also meant the lack of all the activities or clubs and things like that, because they did not have enough base. It's been around for a while, so it was old. Everything else seemed to be fine. The people that I dealt with were very informative and very professional. The lady who did the tour was very good. The individual apartments were fine. It just didn't meet the things that I wanted particularly.

Staff goes above and beyond for the needs of my loved one. We could not be happier with the care and compassion felt the second you enter the community. Beautiful renovations!! Beautiful friendly residents and staff.

My second choice is the Grand Villa of Sarasota. It's about seven miles from my home. I just wanted close proximity to my loved one, so I chose the other place. It's beautiful. It's clean. The staff and the sales director (she's a nurse) spent hours with me talking to me about the different issues and how to compensate for them. What's really impressive about that particular facility is that they have this amazing filtration system that cleans the air. They've had zero incidence of COVID with the patients. They're a five just for the attention and care that they gave to me and that I saw them give to the patients. They have a courtyard, but it's much smaller than the other place.

I went to Grand Villa of Sarasota. They were redoing the rooms. They really had a good layout in them, so they were going to be nice: new appliances, new floors, new everything. We toured the independent living, but they have the continuation of care, which was very good. They didn't have a pool though. They were all very friendly, very happy, and very courteous while we were touring. We were scheduled to go try the food, and we couldn't make it. My wife did not want to go there because of no pool. They had a beautiful area back over there, and they had activities. They weren't boxed in. The one thing that they did have that was not good was the shared parking area. They didn't have their own dedicated parking area. It was first come, first serve with whomever they were sharing with. There were several different places over there. They were doing some remodeling and it was going to be well kept with new furniture and new stuff. It was right near downtown Sarasota and near a hospital.

I went to Grand Villa of Sarasota. It's under remodel, and they were very apologetic for that, but I didn't have a problem with the remodel. The rooms that they showed me and the layout of the place was very nice. They showed me a studio and a one-bedroom. My dad wants a one-bedroom, but we wanted to show him the studios because we didn't know how it would compare in overall size to the one-bedroom. It is in a very nice spot, very limited area though. As far as outside area goes, they were very limited in that. Inside they had a very nice library, an exercise room, and a game room. The laundry facilities were nice. The location and the outside areas were very limited, but the inside of the building and the building itself was beautiful. The staff was very good.

We have moved into our new place here at Grand Villa of Sarasota. We've been here a whole week now, so it meets our needs quite well. It's very friendly, and we are enjoying it a lot. Our apartment is spacious and nice with a pretty view. The food is really good, and the people are friendly. The view is onto trees, lots of birds, and it looks over a little waterway, and we just really enjoy it. They do all sorts of things, but we haven't done any of them yet. They have two buses and they take you places. They serve us three meals a day and everybody else is very friendly, so it is working out really well. There's a beauty salon and a library, they show movies every day, there are some outdoor areas to use, like there is a patio, and you can have pets too.

I cannot say enough about Grand Villa. My mother has been in the memory care unit for over 7 months. The attention given to her has been wonderful. The GV care managers and administration have gone beyond the norm to care for my mother and make her comfortable. We had to move my mother from a bleak home situation to GV during the peak of Covid while I was out-of-state. It was a desperate time for me and my mother. GV helped with the transition in many ways. Her immediate needs were serious, but her GV care team coordinated multiple medical services to get her the help she needed right away. Within a few months my mom had actually improved, something my family did not think possible. I know it was due to the attention she received at GV. The staff answers questions promptly, sends updates often, and is open and approachable. The rooms are small, but there are plenty of common areas to relax in. Grand Villa has made a difficult phase of life much easier to deal with for my mother and my family.

I saw the Grand Villa of Sarasota. I think it was fine, but my tour guide kept apologizing for the condition of the rooms saying they're in the middle of updating them. They were perfectly fine in their un-updated state, so I'm sure it will turn out beautiful when it's done. It was acceptable the way it was. It was clean and I was able to see everything. I didn't get the chance to taste the food, but I have menus that look like there would be something for everyone to choose from, and the people said the food was good. The staff was friendly; I met cleaning people, different staff members, and nurses. They had a doctor there a couple of times a week, so it seemed like it would be a good place for assisted living. I also met the physical therapist. It was a good place.

My father was at Grand Villa of Sarasota. It was very nice, it was a great location, and it was a good price. The food was excellent. He really liked it. He had a one-bedroom apartment, and it was very nice. They had activities before COVID, but after COVID they pretty much mixed the activities. They had a few after it loosened up, but they had good activities. They took them out on a bus, they had an exercise room, they had a game room on the fifth floor, and they had a pool table.
