I've inquired at Serenity Towers, which is on St. Johns River. I went there to see it. It's a very nice community, and it is very accessible to all the things that you might need in the area. Like next door there is the drug store, it's walking distance to the little plaza, there's a family dollar store there, and the post office is right there for you too. So, in the small little radius you go, especially if you are limited with your walking, you would already be able to make it to those places. It's helpful knowing that they were there. The place is beautiful because it's right on the river, and you have access to it right from your building, so you can sit and view it. There's also a park right there called Fort Mellon Park, so it's a nice area. One of the staff members upon arrival appeared to be very distracted though. I had to wait a while before being acknowledged. The other places I visited were not like that. Other than that, everything was well-kept and organized. I sometimes see debris in the parking lot of other places, but I didn't see any of that here. Upon arrival, all the offices seemed to be very well-kept.

Serenity Towers was quiet and peaceful. It was on the river, so I can walk my dogs. I’m in a wheelchair, and they have a boardwalk. The rooms were very nice, and it’s an older building that was rehabilitated. They’ve done a lot of improvements on all the bathrooms to make them handicapped accessible. It has big windows, big rooms, and a big walk-in closet. They have a wonderful food area that overlooks the river. There are all types of activities, outings and get-togethers. I love to read and paint, and they have a lovely library and areas where I could go paint. They also have a beauty parlor on site. Overall, it’s a really nice place.
