I toured Shell Harbor Retirement. It was so luxurious and beautiful and a fantastic place. They had everything. I was very impressed. The managers live on the property. It was almost like staying at a five-star hotel. Everything was brand new. It's so expensive. The kitchen was unbelievable, but the only program there was breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which were all included. The food was fabulous. However, they should have another alternative, like an apartment with a kitchenette. The staff was amazing, and he loved his job. He was there with me the whole time. We even had lunch together. He took me on the tour and knew everything about the place. What impressed me was that wherever we moved around this beautiful facility, he knew everybody by name. If I had the money, I would move there.

We're leaning towards Shell Harbor Retirement. I liked everything about it. I liked the way it was set up. The people seemed very nice and accommodating. They have a lot of amenities there. They didn't have a pool, which was a disappointment for me. The staff was very helpful and friendly. And I wish the rooms were a little bigger.

We moved in Shell Harbor when it first opened in 2021 and we have never regretted doing so. The facility is beautiful. We have a nice apartment. We feel very safe here. We love the people. Everyone is so friendly; we have met many new friends. The food is good. There are lots of activities, a movie theatre, a pharmacy, fitness center, beauty parlor. We recommend this facility highly.

Shell Harbor is relatively new—2 years old. It’s beautiful and kept clean. The staff are kind and thoughtful. The residents are friendly. The food is good and always plenty to eat.

We needed a place for Mom to live where we felt she would be safe and comfortable while able to maintain her independence. We found just that and more when we walked through the doors of Shell Harbor. We had looked at several other places in the Melbourne/Rockledge area and none compared. Taking the letters of Shell Harbor’s name, I will provide some anecdotal information about where Mom lives and thrives. SAFE – 24 hour Concierge on duty that provides exactly the safety we need and desire for our Mom. HOME – Shell Harbor truly feels like it is home for Mom rather than an institution. EXCELLENT – the Staff is excellent, the activities are excellent, the facility is excellent, the food is excellent. LIVELY – Shell Harbor has an Activity Director and Staff that keeps Mom and her friends and neighbors active, from puzzles every morning with the Concierge to Friday afternoon Happy Hours and everything in between. LOVELY – As you enter the building you see a beautiful water feature that is decorated with love and creativity depending on the season. You literally feel like you are on a cruise ship as you walk the halls. HAPPY – The number one important thing in this list is happiness, the Residents all seem Happy and just as important, the Staff all seem happy as well. ATTENTIVE – The Staff is quite attentive, this goes for everyone you come in contact including the Concierge, On Site Management Team (Husband and Wife Duo), Sales Director/Resident IT person, Kitchen/Dining Room, Housekeeping and Maintenance. RELIABLE – Shell Harbor is a reliable source for Mom’s comfort, happiness, well being and more. Every day we know that there are plentiful entertainment and activity options, dining options and as mentioned before the peace of mind knowing that Mom is safe. BENEFICIAL – Shell Harbor is beneficial to us as we know that Mom is cared for well and is living in an environment with peers that allow her to thrive. The benefits for Mom are almost too much to list but include the On Site Beauty Parlor, Transportation, Store/Pharmacy Delivery and Scheduled Events. OUTSTANDING – Overall Shell Harbor is truly outstanding! RESPONSIBLE – Shell Harber is a responsible decision that we have made along with Mom for her to live in comfort. They are responsible and caring for her and her friends and neighbors. We along with Mom are very happy with her living in Shell Harbor where she truly can live independently and not worry about things. Each day is a good day for her and her friends. If you are looking for a place for you or someone you love, include Shell Harbor in one of your places to research and check out.

The food is very good, the rooms are comfortable and beautiful and the residence offers varied activities, including a French conversation class.The staff is friendly and accomodating, I love being able to soocialize with like-minded people!

I toured Shell Harbor Retirement. They explained everything in detail. The place was extremely clean. Everyone was happy there. I know I'm going to be happy there. I'll be moving at the beginning of the month. I'm pleased. Of all the places that I looked at, this was by far the best. Inside the apartment, there is a full kitchen. It has a washer and dryer, and a complete bathroom. I'll have a living room and a porch outside. It has everything I need. It has a storage and a walk-in closet. The staff who toured me was very informative. The food is very good, too. It has hurricane windows and it's secure. It has fire protection so that if it catches fire, it won't go through the whole building. The smoke would go up and out through the ceiling. However, they don't have a pool.

Shell Harbor Retirement felt like being on a cruise, but then you can just go back to your own house. It seemed like a good environment. I would live there myself. I liked how everybody was so nice. I liked the staff's knowledge of the facility and their joy for the facility. They believe in what they're doing. I think that they paid attention to detail when they were building the facility and wanted to provide the very best for the residents there. They had a gym, a very large dining room, a great theater, an outdoor fire pit, and even a pharmacy with pharmacists who would do individual packaging for each day's pill for free. It was just good.

Shell Harbor Retirement Community is wonderful. The only thing it lacks is a pool, and I would like to have a pool. It's always good for physical therapy and I have my name on the list for a bigger apartment I can take, but I saw the two-bedroom, and I need something bigger. I had lunch there one day, and the food was fine. They have the theater there, and if you want you can get together with other people and do things like, I play mahjong, or I play cards or something. But other than that I didn't see anything that caught my eye. The staff was wonderful. I would like the kitchen layout to be better, there is no room to put a little table. They showed a little table, but as you enter the kitchen and the apartment, it's not suitable.

I toured Shell Harbor Retirement, and by far, it's the best. The tour was very well organized. The people were very friendly, not just the staff that work there, but also the people who live there. We looked at a two-bedroom apartment, and it was by standards of two bedrooms. It was very spacious, and it had walk-in closets, which is a nice feature when you're moving into a place like that. Most of the other places we looked at did not have walk-in closets. They have a nice dining room. They have three meals a day. You could pick and choose obviously not to go to all three. You can have room service delivery of meals. It would be like living in a fine hotel where you have room service, and you can have valet parking if you want it. They can bring your car around when you want. It was a very positive tour. It's so new and everything was spiffy, painted, and shiny. It's raised for a level four category for hurricane, which is comforting. They have a big diesel generator to give them basic power that you would need if the power went out, so they thought of everything, and it's a well-designed place. We ate lunch there, and it was very good. We looked at the menus and they had very nice selections for lunch, dinner, and breakfast, and they're very well done.

I'm at Shell Harbor Retirement. It's a brand new facility. It offers very gracious community activities. It's well staffed. Excellent food is one of their specialties. There's a spacious kitchen and it's well equipped. The entire unit is brand new and meant to be comfortable with great closets. The only thing I'm sliding it on is the lack of a pool.

We toured Shell Harbor Retirement. It's very nice, brand new, nice-looking, and nice layout. The interior is beautiful. It does not have garages; it has carports. We looked at a two-bedroom. It was nicely laid out. Some had balconies, but the ones that we looked at did not have balconies. The staff was very good. They showed us around. It's a beautiful place. It has all the amenities. It does not have a swimming pool; that's the only amenity that they didn't have. They have three meals a day, and we don't think that we need three meals a day. They have plenty of activities. They have a theater room, and a church group was in there having some kind of meeting. They have movies in there at night. They have an exercise room. The place was very clean. The bedroom that we saw, no one had ever been there. It was brand new.
