My friend has been there 16 months and has never seen a specialist and is in stage 3 renal failure, Congestive Heart Failure and many other health issues. This is neglect by anyone's standards and it has gone on way to long!

Well, I don’t know where to start. My mom arrived there on a Tuesday night after testing negative for the virus. Yet, she was in quarantine. Then, on Fri, her foot was swollen. It wasn’t until Mon before anything was done. Come to find out it was a blood clot. She could’ve seriously had problems. Due to the clot, she couldn’t get the best therapy. There’s absolutely no reason why her therapy can’t be done at home. She’s not getting the vitamins she needs to keep her immune system built up so she doesn’t end up with a new virus. She asks does ask for help and it takes them for quite some time to attend to her. Now, it’s going on 2 weeks that I’ve not been allowed to visit. Without a circle of visitors, for support, she won’t get better. I’ve been getting different answers to my questions on several occasions. First, I was told the facility didn’t have her medical records. Yet, they did. Second, I was told that in the facility she gets therapy everyday and if she went home, she would only get it once a week. Well, that’s a lie!! Third, I was told we couldn’t bring her her vitamins, then was told we could and now it’s back to, we can’t. After over 2 weeks, it doesn’t seem that she’s getting better there, so she may as well come home. Altho I’m not a nurse, I can do better than what services she’s receiving at the facility. The facility doctor needs to just let her be discharged with the need of in home therapy 3 times a week. Now, she may need oxygen. Which she needed at the hospital. She’s being held against her will. I feel that she’s a prisoner.

IF YOU CARE AT ALL ABOUT YOUR LOVED ONE PLEASE DO NOT PLACE THEM IN ROCKLEDGE HEALTH AND REHAB!! MY LOVED ONE HAD VERY , VERY POOR CARE! A COUPLE OF STAFF CARE ABOUT THE RESIDENTS BUT EVERYONE ELSE IS SIMPLY THERE TO GET A PAYCHECK!! MOST ROOMS STINK, THE BATHROOMS ARE LEFT UNCLEAN ON MOST DAYS. THE CNA'S HIDE FOOD IN ROOMS TO EAT LATER IN THE DAY, SOME DO NOT HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA! IT SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. IT IS AN ABSOLUTE SHAME WHAT I WITNESSED WHILE MY LOVED ONE WAS THERE! PLEASE PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE PLACING YOUR LOVED ONE IN A NURSING HOME. GO VISIT THEM OFTEN TO SEE HOW THE CARE IS.

My father was in Rockledge Health & Rehabilitation Center for 30 days. He wasn't that bad when he went in, then he developed bedsores on his back side and on his heel and he developed scabies. He fell out of bed three times, and the last time broke his hip. The first time he fell was he was in his wheelchair right in front of the nurse's station. There were individuals that were very good and helped out, but they didn't pay attention a lot of times. They knew he was a fall risk, yet they didn't watch him. I saw him half out of his bed and he didn't have his clothes on. It seemed chaotic to me. They were scrambling sometimes to get their meals on time. The staff was overworked and underpaid. One rehab lady was nice, the people who gave her the meds were nice, and a couple of the CNAs were nice. I saw somebody playing music in the cafeteria and there was a room where they do activities to help their memory.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars because they are that terrible. The aides and nurses are very nice but the Male head nurse is very rude to everyone, 0 customer service skills. Department leaders come off as very uncaring and act as if you are bothering them if you need to ask something. Take you loved ones elsewhere! I convinced my uncle to leave and go elsewhere! He is now happy and well cared for at a much nicer facility in Melbourne.

Husband was there for rehab after a huge knee surNurse Stacy cthe oneball as far as rehab went. She couldn’t get the pain meds to Mike so rehab was canceled on day two. He was there for 3 days for a total of 1 and 1/2 hours of rehab. When I asked her about why he wasn’t given meds so he could work knee her response was “it’s been a different type of day. Also said it takes a while for pharmacy to get it to her. I said so it takes 1 hour for you to get the meds? The same plastic piece was left on floor for all days. Wonder when they finally swept. This was all reported to staff. Never saw the illusive Dr Page. Needless to say I checked Mike out on AMA. Only then did they tell me we really needed to see Dr. lived in Rockledge all my life. Ant believe this place

I'm perfectly pleased with Rockledge Health & Rehabilitation Center. The staff is very attentive and very caring. I'm pleased with their efficiency and with the fact that they keep in touch with the resident's families. The grounds are perfectly nice. The rooms are just double rooms and not spacious. They bring my loved one's meals to her, and they look very good, and pretty appetizing.

This place has many issues. My 90 year-old father was brought in and the room had feces floating in toilet, used rubber gloves on floor in bathroom, no working lights above bed. The nurse was irritable and when asked a question regarding my father's pain medicine, that was late, she snapped at us. I found her rolling her eyes, and looking at another nurse after she thought we were leaving. After asked what she did that, she was even MORE disrespectful. There are other nurses who are kind and genuinely helpful.

DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE IN THIS FACILITY I only wish I had done my research ahead of time. I lost my sister because this facility neglected her by not having enough staff that cared enough to help her in her time of need. She was here only three days before she died and only passed away after her family finally went home to get some sleep after being there for two days nonstop because no one came to help her. She would push the button for help and no one came for hours and when they finally did come her needs were taken care of by her family (going to the bathroom, finding someone to administer meds, etc). On the day she arrived she sat in a room (five days out of triple bypass surgery) for hours because the facility was short staffed over the Memorial Day weekend. She was placed in a room with no air conditioning, she was told she couldn't take a shower because it wasn't their "shower" day. This facility neglected her and as a result, I believe, she was not given the attention she needed when she called for it. Please, please, do your research and look up all the other negative comments about this place. We spoke to a police investigator who told us the police department had to do regular inspections because there were so many complaints. My sister might still be with us if we had only known. When we confronted the facility we were taken right past the room my sister passed away in to meet in a tiny, dark, little office that we all didn't really fit in. Once we spoke our peace we were contacted by their Corporate office to come back and retell the story and we were treated like VIP's. We tried to get a lawyer to take the case but they wouldn't because my sisters health was so bad but please consider not using this facility. There are so many other issues with this facility I cannot name them all here but there is no security, no accountability, and your family member will NOT be taken care of! If you do leave them here make sure there is someone with them 24/7. On my sister's last day alive she expressed how much she didn't want to be left alone, not because the staff was abusive but because she was afraid something would happen and no one would come. Her worst fear was realized and now she's gone. Please don't let this happen to you!

My mother stayed two weeks after her open heart surgery. The first day they brought her dinner which was two slices of bread, 2 slices green roast beef sandwich meat, mac salad not fully cooked, and tea with no ice or sweetener. The following week, I asked her if the meals were getting better. I had to wait on her to vomit from the thought of the food before she could answer my question. During her first few days the they put a dementia patient in her room (mom had to take care of her). Her "new" hospital collapsed and fell to the floor. The "nurses" tried to give her the wrong medicine twice. Including asking her if she knew what color the pills were she was supposed to get. They would not give her the actual medicine that she needed and requested. After several request to move mom from this facility she was moved to a private room. However the care was never improved after speaking the nurse supervisors on several different occasions. I would never let anyone I know be admitted to the facility!!!!!!

I visited Rockledge Health and Rehab. That's where my mother is at right now. It is convenient to where I live, and I can visit every day or several times a day if I want. I like the service they gave, but they just had no long-term beds left. The staff has been very good. I have no complaints. I can't say that they were probably the best in the world, but they were very good. They were getting all new beds so that was nice. They've done a lot of remodeling. She went to an ice cream social, she liked that. She did get her hair done there on Fridays. The food was excellent. That's a very important thing. She goes down to the dining room and eats, that's pleasant. They have tablecloths on their tables and cloth napkins. Yesterday, the food was very late getting there. The girls in the dining room know all the patients by name, it's very nice. The rooms are sufficient. They're a little tight like any 2-bedroom where you have to have wheelchairs.

My mother was in this facility for Rehab. I found that the aides did not treat the elderly well. Hours would pass before questions were answered or medication, supplies were brought. Her call button broke on a Friday, and she was told that maintenance would have to fix it on Monday, with no alternative method to call the nurse. I called the operator (Dave) on Sunday and he said a bell should have been provided, but that he could fix the call button, which he did 10 minutes after I called! I called a number of times (I am out of town) and almost always had questions answered, but my mother felt ignored. However, she did speak highly of the PT staff. She said the food was sub-standard.

The staff is fantastic. They work miracles, especially with difficult patients. The facility looks run down and I am hopeful that updating/renovation will happen soon.
