My mother has been in Orchid Cove at Rockledge. The facility is very nice, very clean. The nursing staff members that I've been in contact with are very nice and respectful. If they have any issues there, they let us know as soon as possible. They call me about everything that they do to my mom, because I have the power of attorney for her. So, when she needed something they'd call me. She needed her flu shot, they called me and I responded. They're very up on her health and her well-being. So, I'm very pleased with them. They could improve on the staff. Not the nurses, the people that take care of the patrons' clothes, because there was an event where my mom's clothes just totally disappeared. I think they do clothes for the general population, and that should not happen. They should be treated as individuals. So I had my sisters take my mom a basket, put it in her room, and they noted and updated the people there not to put her clothes in the basket, and they do not touch them, because everything of hers got misplaced. I think eventually they found them all and put them back in her drawers and in her closet, but that was kind of a shock. Other than that, I have no issues.

My grandmother was a resident here. This facility is extremely run down. Very dirty. There are dead wasps/bugs all in the fluorescent lighting. Most of the staff is kind and nice. Food is subpar. This place is a perfect example of why everyone needs to invest in a retirement savings account so you do not have to spend your last days or years in a place like this!! Also my grandmother was dropped from her bed while she was being changed, she was completely immobile therefore they did not keep bedrails on her bed which is completely negligent she ended up with 2 black eyes and stitches on her forehead. Very disappointing!

Terrible place, nurses are very rude, unorganized, no one cares about anything. The equipment is horrible.

My father was in Huntington Place Care and Rehabilitation Center. They were very good. The facility looked clean and nice. He was only there a couple of weeks. He's in a simple double occupancy with a little TV mounted on the wall, a closet space, cable, and chairs. The staff was very nice and helped out as much as they could. They tried to make him to eat and drink water and changed his bedding. His food was pureed. They had therapy. There were people walking around, a lot were in wheelchairs, some were sitting out in front, and the other ones going back and forth down the hall. The food looked pretty average. Even though you're paying a lot, they did pretty good.

I have had a grandparent and both my parents in this facility over the years so I can confidently say it has gone downhill. The therapy staff made it a decent choice until recently....they got rid of most of the good therapists! Now you are left with a run down facility and over worked, uncaring nurses. Never again.

Huntington Place was nice, but it was not what I wanted. They had the main lobby and the dining room. I did not like the area it was in because it was too crowded. The people there were friendly and knowledgeable.

Extremely old and run down, very dirty facility. Doctor is too busy to communicate properly. Nurses are very rude and are in no hurry to help. There is never clean towels and they will not help clean up after your loved one unless you are there. Physical therapists are great, but when the doctor who barely sees the patients is the one in charge, nothing gets accomplished.

Therapy staff I would give 5 stars easily. Great team, they made therapy fun which isn't easy when your hip hurts so bad! Nursing is understaffed, average wait time on your call bell is about 15 minutes. Everyone was very nice but the food isn't that great either.

Worst "Rehab" nursing facility I've ever had to visit a loved one in. I have a family member there and have visited him once to twice a day to check on him and see that he is cared for. I could not believe what I witnessed. Patients ringing for a nurse, (all are LNA's) waiting 20 + minutes to get tended to or at times they don't even show up at all. They need help to go to the bathroom and insted get put into diapers so they don't have to help them. My family member was brought food and couldn't eat it because it was loaded with onions, which he cannot eat. Another time, they said they brought him to the dining hall to eat, but was not given anything to eat. We popped in at 11:30 one morning and found him under a blanket we had brought from home stark naked, urine on the floor. He was so embarrassed. I asked for housekeeping and they mopped up the floor after waiting 15+ minutes. The nurse behind the desk said to press the call button to call for an LNA, she finally came in and washed him up and redressed him. The fitted sheet was not changed and still wet. We brought his lunch so we could make sure he ate. He is always cold, so we had to bring blankets from home because they DON'T provide them. I cannot believe he is there. I would love to bring him home but because I'm not the power of attorney my hands are tied. They are now saying he will get hospice care because he's not eating. PLEASE, IF YOU HAVE A LOVED ONE DON'T BRING THEM HERE UNLESS YOU DON'T CARE AT ALL WHAT HAPPENS TO THEM.
HORRIBLE PLACE DO NOT CONSIDER

DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT PLACING YOUR LOVED ONE IN THIS PLACE! Huntington Place should not have a license to operate as a healthcare facility. The place is OLD in need of repair. When items like blinds inoperable, toilet flushing issues, dripping shower, SMALL television not working properly, and unresponsive staff brought to administrative attention, TYPICAL lip service of we'll get to it NEVER happened. Inquiries about bed rails to assist patient were met with excuse, "we don't want patient relying on rails." Call button and bed operation buttons LAY ON THE FLOOR OUT OF REACH OF PATIENT! When patient cal press call button, staff is unresponsive. Experienced response times of 20 minutes - never until family arrived and raised concerns about situation. Patients left without linens covering them while laundry is done. Yes, they do not have enough linens to accomodate patients. Inappropriate chairs for patients to sit in, not medical grade, quality and NO brake on wheels. EVERYTHING is outdated, beds uncomfortable because they should be thrown out and replaced. STAFF nice when you see them, but have no compassion for care unless the family is constantly at patient side advocating. This place does not deserve a single star.

Huntington Place Care and Rehabilitation Center was one of the better ones. They knew what they were doing to help my husband. The food was good, and the people cared. It’s an older facility, but it’s kept nice.

My mom is in the Huntington Place. I like the nurse-to-patient ratio and the service is excellent. The dining area and the food are both great. The rooms are clean. They treat you like a family.

I'm not a big fan of Huntington Place. I've had both grandparents there for various reasons and I would say 75% of the staff doesn't really have genuine care and concern for the patients. I think that it's much more institutionalized and it's not a pleasant atmosphere for the most part.

The staff was friendly and courteous, and gave my family member excellent care. It was easy to enter the facility and we were escorted to the correct room with a smile. The facility was clean and tidy, and generally had a pleasant atmosphere (besides the occasional aroma, which is largely unavoidable due to the types of tenants)The private courtyard was nice, for the most part. Unfortunately, the private courtyard is also the smoker's area, so wheeling our family member out there for some fresh air didn't really work out - the cigarette smell was pervasive. Also, there is a distinct lack of seating in the courtyard, so if a family comes to visit on a nice day, some will be left uncomfortable if the visit is any longer than a few minutes.Obviously, for such a facility, accessibility is key, and Huntington Place provided no difficulties when it came to moving our family member in and out of her bed, wheeling her out of her room, and into the courtyard. All in all, Huntington Place was a good facility, and one to whom we had no qualms about entrusting the care of our family member. She has since recovered fully and has had nothing bad to say about her experience.

After an emergency, open-heart surgery and a long stay in the hospital, I was instructed by my doctor to go to a skilled nursing facility for after care. After my family toured many nursing facilities in the Rockledge area I chose to be placed at Huntington Place in Rockledge, Florida. I am glad that I chose to go to Huntington Place for rehab. The staff was very attentive to my needs. You could not ask for a better group of people to take care of you when you need it the most. The staff in the physical therapy department gives you the drive to do what you need to do to get well and on your way home. The administrator Millie Sorger is one of the most caring and compassionate people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I had two of the most wonderful nurses who took care of me on the 3-11 shift. Huntington Place is an older facility, but it is kept exceptionally clean. I would recommend Huntington Place to anyone who needs exceptional care given by exceptional people.
