The staff at Life care were open and caring. The meals are not like home but the kitchen staff goes out of the way for requests. The rehab team works everyday to keep the patient on track with their goals to go home.

Beware! Only in for the money! Charged Medicare for services not provided. Saw doctor 2 times in 6 weeks. Nurses bullies. Assume patients canโt talk. Treated so badly. Most helpers cant speak English. No administration or medical staff present over Memorial Day weekend. All patients left to unskilled aids. Physical therapy a joke. Food terrible. No special diets. Lactose intolerance ignored. Roaches on floors at night. Had to order winter coat from Amazon as ac so cold. Ice pack was pillowcase with ice cubes. Melted all over bed several times!!! No shower or laundry services offered for 3 weeks. Wore same clothes every day. Encouraged by Medicare service person to stay as long as possible. Who is she working for??? Do not go there unless supervised by friends or family members!

my wife came here with no hope from other internes from tradition hospitale, she was in and out of other facilitys and when coming to life care ! she receaved the best care a person could want, with the help of Gielia and Remmie , in such a short time she was talking and geting up on her own, and in about two weeks so far has become a whole person esptialy after having brain surgery. i owe so much to the excelant care to life care for giving me my wife carmella back to me, also all of the finest aid's doctors , nurces and Penny and all the staff, thank you , your place has to be the finest there is in port saint lucie, you also treated me and my faimily with the best respect any one could get. if you have a loved one that needs the best of care , look no further, this place is a second home for loved ones. god blees all the staff at LIFE CARE, there is no better than this place!!! one happy husband.

There are many times that the front desk phone rings and rings especially on the weekends and at nights. Pauline at the front desk needs to be given some social skill lessons. She is the first person a family member comes in contact with. I am told that this is not the frist time someone has complaimed about her. "oh, she just gets flustered" Well then, she has not busniess in that position. This place is so unorganized and short of staff. Mother's first week sat in her own facies for at least an hour (confirmed also by her room mate) the wound care person was called in to address mothers' painful rash/breakout. Many of the CNS's are rude and don't appear to know what the heck they are doing. Mother was placed on a nebulizer by Michael the weekend of Sept 5, 2021. The machine was to run for 15 minutes but ran way past that time frame. Of course my 91 year ol mother panic. Michael told my mother her forgot about her. So sad!!!! the upper management has no idea what is going on. You would of thought with people from corporate just being there in August 2021 that things would improve however, as I already said, management and directors have no clue. I realize that all segments are short handed help but, if that is the case, Life Care has no business taking in clients. I must say that there are a few good people there but I say FEW. This has been such a disappointing experience and Life Care has a 4 rating?? I intend to share my review with mother's insurance copmpany. I also will be interest in seeing if anyone from Life Care reaches out to me.

My mom is in Life Care Center of Port St. Lucie. It was basically the only one available when she had a knee replacement. They have good therapy, but not great nursing care. Her room is fine, she's comfortable, and it's clean. The food is acceptable. She's on a low salt diet. She doesn't like that, but that's just the way it is. The therapists on the staff are excellent, the nurses not too much.

Family member was sent here for rehab after a fall and subsequent surgery. They are always short handed, employees ignore you when you go to the nurses station to ask questions or seek assistance. The call button is ignored as well. Food was cold and unappetizing. Substandard care at best. I would not recommend this facility.

this has been the second stay I have had at life care due to total knee surgery, sadly last time I gave this place a triple a with excellent nurses, help in the rooms cleanness, and the staff in the therapy dept, was and still excellent. so every thing in staying at life care was and still is to my belief the very best care one would want, but sadly when I was here last time the food was also the finest one would want. but now with my last stay here " and I did complain " THE FOOD!! when I was here over two years ago the food was the finest I have ever had in such a place, but now sadly from being the best it has turned out to be the worst food one can get, terrible, no imagination, the same terrible day after day, no taste the quality on a scale from one to ten I give it a triple zero. shame on you life care for going from the best to the very worst!!, truly not happy

I stayed at this facility during the hurricane, the facility and staff were well prepared and took very good care of the patients and visitors. The staff worked well together to achieve their goals, the management staff was very polite and helpful. The facility was very clean and groomed. Was impressed with this facility. Way to go Lifecare Center if Port Saint Lucie ๐๐๐

Horrible. CNAs do not care or are too overworked. It is nearly impossible to get answers to any questions. The treatment plan meeting was a joke. Only the nurse showed and when I requested that OT,PT and Speech in attendance, they came in one at a time stood in the room and left within 5 min. I witnessed patients getting yelled at for not trying hard enough on the potty. I could go on and on. If you have to go here for rehab make sure a family member or friend is with you every single day.

If you have a transplant loved one in mind, be aware that Life Care nursing staff will allow the patient to refuse to take anti-rejection medicine if the patient so desires. Probably ignorant of the fact that the medicine is critical to the patient keeping things like ammonia levels down, which causes serious brain trouble, which it did. Then they thought they could talk to someone whose brain is compromised as if she was completely healthy. I even pointed out to them that you might as well talk to that closet. They never informed me, her caregiver, she was refusing. Then they have the guts to tell me they will give me a blanket for my car seat, but the patient is no longer welcome there. She had laid in her soiled bed since overnight and they pushed her out the door that way 12 hours later... Sad at the Top level

My mother was accepted by this community to be rehabilitated from a fall after a hospital stay. They took such wonderful care of her, that I knew that I wanted her to stay her long term. It took lots of patience, as it is difficult to navigate around the many directors and their areas of authority. Today was amazing, as mom was accepted for long term care, and I am looking forward to many happy visits in the future. Thank you Life Care!

I was a patient from April thru May, 2017. I was treated extremely well by ALL the employees. They were all friendly and helpful. I cannot say enough about my stay there.

My mother died while under their care. She was only supposed to be there for 3 weeks rehabbing from a broken leg and then come home. She never came home. She died a horrible, painful death from C-Diff which she got while in Life Care. The doctors and nurses ignored her symptoms and she suffered terribly. I wouldn't recommend this awful place to anyone. Please research these rehab facilities. Go to Agency for Health Care Administration website and look at all of the complaints made against this facility. http://www.fdhc.state.fl.us/. Take the time to look at other facilities if you have the luxury of time. Our family did not and we lost our beloved matriarch.

My father was a resident of Life Care Center of Port St. Lucie in 2008/2009. He received excellent care and the nurses, cna's and staff were professional, polite and very caring. I recently had hip surgery and went to Life Care Center of Port St. Lucie for rehab. Again, excellent care. A lot of the staff that was there when my father was at Life Care are still there. Physical therapy at Life Care is the best. I highly recommend Life Care Center of Port St. Lucie if your parents are in need of a skilled nursing facility or if you are in need of a great place for rehab after surgery.

Awful experience for families. The staff is rude, the level of incompetence is alarming, no one knows what meds you loved one is on or what their conditions are, just mass confusion. Anything that you ask for is too much to do and if it is done you are made to feel as if you shldnt dare to request something. The leadership of the nurses must be awful and weak to allow them to behave the way they do
