My mom was residing in a nearby facility for the past 5 years. We thought it was a wonderful place, and it was until her health and cognitive abilities began to decline. She was left in her apartment alone 24 hours a day. I tried all I could to access medical care, physical therapy, home health agencies and the like. My poor Mom was left out to dry and was not receiving the help needed. After numerous visits to the ER, I finally had enough and sought out something new. Thank God I found Reflections! My mother who was spending her days planted in front of the TV, being overmedicated and very depressed is now living happily!!! It’s absolutely amazing the change that has occurred! She is SO happy and is involved in the activities. She’s made many friends, and is truly enjoying life!!!!! I can not recommend this facility enough! My poor mom was suffering and I thought it was a natural part of aging. Please consider visiting this wonderful place. It’s not as grand as some of the facilities in Florida, but you really can’t judge a book by its cover. It’s very clean and comfortable, my mom loves the food and is so happy with the staff!! They have done wonders with my mom!!!! I regret that it took me so long to move her. But it is very difficult looking after an elderly parent.

We chose Reflections Memory Care of Port Orange for my mom. When we first went to tour the place, I liked it. It seemed nice and clean. They knew everybody and it was a small place. The staff has been very good and very caring. They handle my mom's temper well. I did have a meal just this last Sunday, and it was very tasty. They have a chef and it would have been good to have some salt, but I understand a lot of older people don't eat a lot of salt. The chef really tries to please my mom. She really likes tomato soup, and so he would always make her some tomato soup if she couldn't eat whatever else they were serving, and I really appreciated that. They do have a lot of activities. They have a morning walk. They throw a big beach ball around. They have bingo, movie days, adult coloring, and church services.

I ended up putting my mom in The Retreat at Port Orange. It's superb. They're very caring. They treat everyone like family. Her room feels like home. It's spotless. They have a beautiful courtyard where we take Mother for rides in her wheelchair, and she enjoys it. I would recommend them to anyone. My mother likes Bible study and music therapy the best. I ate lunch there yesterday, and it was great.

My mother has moved into The Retreat at Port Orange. We chose them because of the convenience of the place, its location, and its price. It has only been a week, but so far, they have been very kind and considerate. I'm not allowed in the facility, but it looks nice outside.

My mom is at The Retreat at Port Orange. The whole facility is memory care. It is divided into those that needs less supervision and those that are at the latter stages of dementia or Alzheimer's, so she's in memory care. They are supervised, but not like in bed or anything like that. So far, everything has been excellent, they've taken good care of her. She seems to be very calm and relaxed while she's there. The people that work there are very pleasant and accommodating. Because of the COVID, we haven't been able to do any dining together. The facility itself seems excellent to me. As far as my understanding, there are activities that they do every day, plus they do daily exercises with them. I know that they have done some crafts, some things like that, other than the exercises; I do know they do that every morning.

I’m very impressed with it. The staff that I met was very nice. I liked the location because my mother is at early stages of dementia, and I like the security. It was very good. They did breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I asked if I could use my own doctor, and they said yes.

It was a very nice place. I was hoping to find a one-bedroom or at least a two-room apartment for my parents, but they didn’t have anything like that available. Still, I would recommend this place. I was very pleased with it. The residents I talked to seemed very happy. The dining area was a beautiful room.

I like the size of the population here. There are only about 35 people. It is clean, and it smells good. It is very bright. The people there have been pretty attentive to my mother's needs. I know several people who have parents there, and they have all been pretty happy with it.

I was able to visit. It's a very nice facility, but it’s just too far away from us. The place is very clean. It’s a nice, bright, and cheerful place. The residents were all involved in activities, and they seemed to be enjoying it. They had a place outdoor where they had cook outs. There was a group that was doing arts and crafts when I had my tour. There was also someone giving a talk to some residents.

My mom's got dementia, so she has no clue that she is in here. It's a really nice place and is extremely clean. They've got a very active activities program and they are very good with medication. She's had one emergency since she's been there, and they've taken care of it very well. The staff is very kind and on top of all that, they are just really nice people.
