My mother-in-law is in Haven of Our Lady of Peace in rehab. It's all excellent. It's very clean. The people are very personable and very caring. It's just the best place that I've seen. The dining area is a big open area and the food is fine. She hasn't complained at all. They have a lot of amenities, but she's not able to partake in any of them at this time. They have an activities director who came to her room to try and find out what she was interested in. However, my mother-in-law was not able to answer any questions at the time.

This was a wonderful part of Pensacola my entire life. Now my Mother is there and I am sick that we are stuck there. Staff generally works hard, but often there is inadequate staffing. My Mom has had several hospital stays, broken bones, etc.. Love your family? Don't make this mistake.

If I could give no stars I would definitely do so! I was so disappointed in the total lack of care my father received after for rehab from breaking his hip. Our first days in the center were exceptional upstairs but they closed that hall due to not enough patients. They decided that my Dad required more eyes on him and sent him to Memory Care. MC had a very strong smell like urine so bad that you had to hold your nose to go inside. It made me feel bad for the workers and the patients to be subjected to that. The worst part of Dads care was working or should I say attempting to work with a very overworked, angry Social worker that had no problem saying exactly was was in her mind no matter how rude it was. She never returned calls in a timely matter, she refused to secure medical equipment that my Dad required to have to go to his Asst Living place, and refused to give the required discharge paperwork to the Director of the Assisted Living that would allow her to get things in order for my Dad. She even hung up on the Director because she was so frustrated. So instead of having a hospital bed, wheel chair, oxygen, and walker ready for him at discharge, she just said that he did not qualify. This was nothing but not true!!!!! My Dad is on Medicare and Tricare for Life and has about 40 diagnoses that more than qualify him for anything he needs at the age of 91…..yes 91 years of age!!!!!! She just did not want to bother with it. So the Asst Living center we placed him at lent of what we needed and 2 days after discharge he received everything he needed with one phone call to the same Medical supply she was calling. They said they had been trying to work with her but she would not give them the paperwork they needed. She was just set up to get my Dad out of that facility once Medicare 20 days were up! Beware!!!!! This facility is not about caring about your family member!!!!! It’s about the money!!!!!!!!!! I do not recommend this facility at all!!!!!!

Our Lady of Peace is a lovely place and I've been there several times. It's got all different kinds of areas. It has assisted living and memory care and I've been in all of those areas. That community is very nice and I've asked information about that place for my son-in-law's parents. We interacted with more people there. We were served with a meal, but it wasn't the typical meal because it was for Christmas. They had a big buffet for friends, family, and visitors, and it wasn't the regular sit down meal that the residents would have, but it was good. I've never seen the rooms, just the amenities, and they were very nice. I don't have any idea about the activities other than the fact that they entice us to sing.

Haven of Our Lady of Peace overall seemed to take good care of most of the residents. The rehab part and the regular nursing was good, but we did not like the Angel ward, which was specifically for dementia people. We will not put our mom in there. It seemed too dark and like a cave almost. The staff and the nurses seemed really nice. It was a lovely place overall except for that ward for dementia people.

Overall great, very clean, and staff were capable and nice. Special Kudos to CNA esp. Kia, and nurses Jessica and Michelle, Physical Therapists, Kathy and Ginger. Food was warm but terrible! Night staff were very loud. Irene Talbot

This place has no communication between family and patient. Upper management is horrible. They set up an appointment to go over my moms care plan then relized the day of appointment she had a doctor's appointment. They removed her off property and never to her children, we made plans to be at a meeting they canceled and we were not notified she was off property. When she left there after 4 weeks, she left with pnemonia. She went to bed at 8pm and never saw anyone till 7am. She laid in bed wet almost 12 hours. They cant get out of bed. I dont understand how anyone had a good stay there.

I was at the Haven of Our Lady of Peace for at least three weeks. I liked it there, and I tried to get in, but they did not have any vacancy. I would rate it a 5 for about everything. First of all, the staff was very good; they knew how to take care of you. I had their food in my room because I didn’t want to eat meat and potatoes and gravy everyday, and they accommodated me by sending me a salad and different things that were lighter to eat. They were very kind to bring it to me in my room, so I did not eat in the community area. There was a wall between my room and my neighbor’s room, so it was very private. When I first went there, I wanted to walk and did not want to use a walker, and they never even considered that, so they taught me how to use a walker. A week or so after I was in there, I talked to one of the nurses I had gotten to know and said that they needed stairwell bars that people can hold on to and walk back and forth on their own so they won’t need a walker, and from what I understand they now have one.

I liked Our Lady of Peace, and if I would be picking a nursing home, that’s probably the one I would pick. It was clean, peaceful, and quiet. However, my mother doesn’t qualify. The staff was fabulous, and the people were friendly.

They were great at Haven of Our Lady of Peace and really took care of my mom. They had really good physical therapists who really worked well with her as far as getting her back to her normal activities and everything. I feel they did a good job in the physical and occupational therapy.

I would recommend The Haven. They specialize in people that are mentally impaired. We had a lady client there who was an older woman but very active. She is the athletic type, but when she got West Nile virus, she went into The Haven. They thought she was going to die and, I mean, we did too. However, they rehabilitated her to the point now where she is actually able to walk a little bit better and it was just amazing. They're very effective and they do take care of the people in all stages of just anything wrong with them. Their staff is very attentive and caring. They don't just go and put their time in, they did more than punch the clock, which is good. Their rooms tend to be a lot smaller and a lot like hospital rooms. In terms of acvities, they have common areas in each section where people can watch TV together and so on. They really try to keep their patients engaged.

When my dad was in the hospital, Haven of Our Lady of Peace had a bed available for him. So, I took that one because they are one of the best places. It is very nice and it doesn't look like a nursing home. It look like a very big house. Everything is very good and I am very happy. My dad is in a shared room. They have two beds and a private bath. They have a lot of activities. I think the food is very nutritious and the type of food that the elderly people need. They are like homemade food with not many condiments. However, they don't have much of variety, it think they may improve on that. I liked their personnel. I do recommend it to others.

The staff at The Haven is very friendly and helpful. They have given excellent service to my wife. The rooms are fine and the food is very good. However, it's an older facility. They can improve on their cleanliness.
