The staff do not attend to residents when they call ..my husband's room mate whom was 85 thought the nurses went home at 5 because the poor guy never seen a nurse after 5. My husband said he put in for double portions of food and he was barely given enough for a small child. He was has had 6 stroke and is a quadriplegic and in terrible pain. The nurse malina told him he was be given a m8nths supply when I fact their crappy nurse practioner decided not to give him anything when In fact he's been on his meds for over 10 years. If i could give 0 stars I would because they are a bunch of uncaring neglectful people .

My father is in Emerald Shores Health and Rehabilitation. It's clean and very pleasant. The people are very helpful. He's only been in there a few days, and the only activity we know for sure is bingo on Mondays and Thursdays. It's not a sterile environment. Each resident has their own television. The food that's delivered to the rooms is good.

My mom of 91 years passed away in this facility on Wednesday 5/26. She received such compassionate care and I wanted to share my experience. My 7 hour trip to the facility made it difficult to see her and she could not answer her cell phone as she began her end of life decline. The CNA’s would go to her room and call me so I could talk to her. So Grateful!!! She was always given what she requested and told me that she was being taken care of. It was so comforting to know that she would pass in peace which thankfully happened. I would like to personally thank the administrator Vikki, the Director of social services Kim, Business Office Manager Joyce whom I probably drive crazy with all of my questions and a shout out to the CNA Pam who showed her love and always made sure her requests were met. Her room was always at a comfortable temperature and they made sure to keep her cell phone plugged in. It was a good experience and for that I am very grateful. Thank you and please remember that you just need to be patient with the staff in giving them time to get to your lived one as they have many to care for.

Please DO NOT send anyone you care about to this faculty. The nursing staff is unable to notice changes in condition. They are unwilling to report and or notice a changes in the residents condition even though they have a nurse practitioner on staff that is available . They don't notify the family of any changes in there family members condition . It appears to be the culture of this facility . Uncaring nurses unwilling to advocate for the residents . Run don't walk away from this facility .

This facility refuses to honor the physician's and hospital aftercare plan for hospice. The patient and family have desired hospice when our loved one was discharged back into this facility and they have denied it. We were told that he is not on his death bed yet. He is suffering at their hands when hospice could be helping him. They have been very ugly and sneaky acting since Covid 19 lock down. We believe they are taking this opportunity and using it to their advantage.

This facility doesn't even rate a one star . Nurses don't follow doctors orders . The nurse practitioner writes orders on a patient without assessing the patient. Critical lab values are ignored no follow through done by the nurse assigned to the patient or the nurse practitioner who ordered the labs . PT left for 3 days with critical lab results. GI bleed , MI , hemoglobin 5.4 .left there for days before being sent to the ER . Don't trust this faculty with your loved ones

Horrible experience. Let my grandmother lay in bed for 3 days without helping her. Her hemoglobin was so low she ended up having a heart attack and a gi bleed because of it. She was finally sent to the ER and passed away 2 days later. Staff unhelpful,Practioners unhelpful. Both uncaring. Definitely would never suggest sending a loved one there. I believe my grandmother would still be here if not for their lack of care.

Rooms are cleaned every day I am pleased. The staff are helpful. Kind and knowledgeable. My husband enjoys his workout each day. I would like to thank all the employees of Emerald Shores Health for all the hard work and care they are giving my husband . I will tell anyone this is a great place to go.

I have a relative at Emerald Shores. For his first three days his call light did not work; he fell his 2nd day there trying to get to the bathroom by himself. Because he was a 'fall risk' they moved him closer to the nurses station which is 'always staffed.' He fell again after being parked and left alone at the nurses station. This facility is definitely understaffed. I've noted RN's and Aides sitting at the desk talking while call lights blinked and patients waited. and they continued their conversations. I was an advocate for my family member as I was there at least once per day but my heart broke for other patients who had no one to speak up for them.

The facility itself seemed fine. The location was in town across from a large Walmart and the security seemed appropriate. The nurses on duty seemed nice but perhaps understaffed. My relative waited at least 30 minutes for an attendant to help her with the bathroom facility. There did not seem like enough staff to help during mealtimes which were a little chaotic. That was not a huge problem but the stealing was appalling. My relative did not like some of the food so I went to the store and bought some food items for her. The staff assured me it was ok to have them put it in the frig and they would bring it to her as she requested. The very next day everything was gone. She could not even keep the wipes in her bathroom we bought her because they would get stolen. One of the nurses told me not to put them in her bathroom. She had to keep them on her tray where she could get to them. No one knew what happened to the food. I paid for what we brought her and it was not only abusing the patient but was stealing from me also. Who is in charge? I got no answers. If the staff can't be trusted what else are they doing that would be considered abuse of the patient? She has a week left and I will have to bring in each morning the Boost she likes and not leave any bottles. They will disappear.

Seemed like a nice place for rehab. My grandfather was doing well and we thought he would be coming home after. He died there. We never got a real reason. They didn't even bother to call when it happened!! My mother, his daughter, went to visit that afternoon and he wasn't in his room. They told her he died earlier that morning and his body had already been moved. A bunch of thoughtless, insensitive human beings in my opinion!! Do not put your family here!!

Emerald was more of a nursing home rather than an assisted living. The rooms were more hospital like than residential like. The staff was nice. I had a friend that I actually visited quite often there before she passed away. I had to bring to the staff's attention to make sure they were keeping up with her because I was the only visitor she had.
