My father-in-law is at the rehab place called Palm City Nursing & Rehab Center. He doesn't like the food there. I saw some of the meals he got, and it was like a frozen chicken patty with a roll with nothing on it. My father-in-law just was not happy at all with the food. The portions were small. The staff was nice. They came in at night, bathed him, and helped him with what he needed. I was just surprised because when he went in, he was continent, and now he's in diapers because he says they just weren't there sometimes. It's clean. It didn't smell like urine or poop all over the place. I did see a lot of staff when I walked through every time we came to visit. My father-in-law is there for over a month and a half now. He wanted a private room and they had one available. Plus the doctor that did his surgery, gave us a list of facilities that he wanted his patients to go to because he knew the rehab was excellent. My father-in-law got excellent rehab there. Within a week, he was getting up out of bed and getting on the side of the bed. He had PT and he had OT. Physical therapy was exceptional over there. They did a great job with him. He did not do any activities. He stayed in his room and watched TV. They have a room where you could go and converse. If he was in a semi-private room and the family wanted to visit, you could wheel him down to that room and have family time. But we didn't need it because he was in a private room. Also, the staff were wonderful, and the rooms and everything were clean.

Physical therapy staff are great! Some nurses are great, CNAs are OK. Palmetto bugs are expected in Florida, outside! Getting inside is ok but 2 nights in a row? And ROACHES!!! No way. Don't send anyone here.

Do not be fooled by the bougie appearance that hides the nasty underbelly of this place, and do not send anyone you care about to this facility. My loved one was given the incorrect medication twice, didn't have a shower or a change of clothes for three days, and pressing the call button is a joke. Transferring out of there could not come fast enough.

The experience of my loved one is so terrible, it's taken me a year to be able to write this review. My loved one was there for rehab after surgery for 11 days before we were able to get him out. Here are the issues we encountered: 1--No known care plan existed, no meeting with family was given as promised. 2--Patient was unable to get water without assistance. When nurse was called, it routinely took 30-60 minutes to respond. 3--Physical Therapy was not given everyday as promised. 4--Patient only saw the doctor once in 11 days. 5--Patient requested anti nausea medication which took 2 hours to receive 6--Patient was unsure why pain medications were given when he was not in pain. Side effects of these medications caused grogginess and inability to participate in physical therapy offered the following day (and PT came around so infrequently anyway.) 7--Meals not appropriate for colostomy diet were repeatedly given 8--Repeated colostomy bag leakage 9--Patient suffered a bed sore while there 10--No one came to check on cause of green discharge from wound vac, change in stool from brown to green liquid, symptoms of nausea, loss of appetite and intermittent severe abdominal cramps. He was finally sent to ER after complaint was lodged.

I just had a bad experience with the business office manager today. She was cold and just not nice. She did not answer any of my concerns. She was pleasant at first, but became angry when I started asking questions. I think her name was Louise, Lois or Lewis. Something like that. I'm moving my loved one out as soon as possible.

My mom was in this facility for a few days and wanted out immediately. The food wasn't that great and the rooms were fair. The biggest problem that really got to me was that they never gave my mom any of her daily breathing treatments. She needs those to be able to breathe better, you know, so she doesn't die. You have to breathe in order to live. How could a staff of a rehab facility forget that. Very important. I had her removed from that place and put into a much better rehab facility, where they don't forget anything, as far as their patients go.

Do not, do not allow your loved ones to be patient of this terrible facility. Last night when help and meds were required, the entire staff was on a break (last night it was a break over 40 min) and there is not a staff member available ANYWHERE!! I wish I could get my loved one out right now but I'm searching for another facility. I'm terrified that if help is needed at night and I am not present, something awful may happen and nobody would know until the day staff came in.

TERRIBLE!!!! Dirty, dirty, dirty! My mother in law was here for about 1 week before she was taken to hospital by ambulance because these people were giving her so many medicines that she was constantly drugged up and all of her electrolytes were out of whack. I honestly think they would have killed her if she had stayed there any longer. Most, not all, but most of the caregivers (wouldn't call them nurses, most days there was only one RN on staff) were very uncaring and didn't want to even take the time to speak with you. DO NOT go here!!!!

We sent my mother here for rehab after the hospital stay, she has Parkinsons and this facility specializes in a program, something called LSVT, that is specific rehab/recovery for folks with Parkinsons, strokes, nuerological issues, etc. They did a fantastic job getting my mother "back on her feet", the facility was beautiful, the staff were all friendly and the food was also very good.
