My mother was at Conway Lakes Health & Rehabilitation Center for three weeks. She's been there a couple of times this year. She is in and out of there. The place is very friendly. They have a lot of staff, and they care. I don't have any complaints. My mother has a shared room. I think the private rooms there are limited. This is the rehab center, but they have another section that is long-term. The times that my mom is there are for therapy, speech therapy, and wound care, and if they need to do a blood test, they do that, too. Aside from therapy, they have a dining room area, and a little living room area where they could be together and watch TV, and they have activities during the month, especially during the holidays. For the meals, if you know you're going to be there with a family member, you could let them know 24 hours in advance so that you could buy them a meal for you to share at the time they're having lunch. They have a nice way of bringing in family members to the community.

Spent about 4 weeks there for rehab from an injury. Physical and occupational therapy were great and very caring. My issue was that some of the CNA’s just didn’t seem to care at all. Multiple times call lights would take over 30 minutes to get answered if they were answered at all. There were some activities but overall not the best place

First impression when I walked in was the place looked nice, until the interaction with the nurse manager and the CNA'S, very unprofessional, very rude, you can tell who is there just only for a paycheck and who is there because they like what they do. terrible experience at this place.

My husband stayed at Conway Lakes Health & Rehabilitation Center for three-and-a-half weeks. The grounds were nice. It was clean, but his room was dreary and was not well-lit. He had a roommate, and that nice, homey feeling was not there. Most of the staff was pretty good. He got his therapy and he got his meals, but there was not a lot of interaction with the staff. He just spent too much time in his room. He was kind of depressed there, and he went to an activity I think once, and it just wasn't his thing. He was never in any place but in his room. All of his meals were in his room. They brought everything and he didn't care for it. He understands the blandness because they're preparing for so many people with so many different diets. They had him on a mechanical diet and he didn't need to be, and I kept telling them and they said, "No, no, we know what we're doing." I'd bring him food and they'd see him eat the food that I brought him, and he had no problems with it. He didn't like that mashed-up stuff they gave him all the time. I think that he could have been taken out of bed more often, even if it was just to sit in the wheelchair in his room. Being stuck in that bed 24/7 was not good. When I could get out there, I would make them come and have them transfer him, and then I would take him outside to the gazebo just to get him a change of scenery. Even though his bed was by the window, not much light came in. To me, it was a dreary place.

Run, don't walk from this place! This is one of the sorriest examples of "care" I have ever had the misfortune of being a patient of! Upon entry the first thing I smelled was a heavy presence of urine. It didn't get any better than that. the staff are untrained, rude and treat patients poorly. Call buttons go unanswered. If you code while you're in there, you're done for.

Words can not express how much I appreciate everything the caregivers and staff did for my mom. When we heard she had the coronavirus, we thought the worst. We did not want her to go to a nursing home because of everything we have heard, but the people at Conway Lakes put us at ease and took amazing care of her. I can not begin to explain how impressed my family was with the compassion and care shown to our mom. She received therapy while on the covid unit and when she was ready to come home, she was doing more than when she went in! If I could rate this place a 10 I would. If any of my friends had to send a family member to a nursing home, I would recommend Conway Lakes!

My mother is in Conway Lakes Health & Rehab. It is a professional place. There is not that many nursing homes in Orlando -- a lot of assisted living, but only three that are actually nursing homes. I think they are OK. She has to share a room with somebody else. They keep it clean. She was in assisted living, and assisted living is cheaper than this place. The place is just very expensive.
