I am/was a resident of this facility

No one seemed happy or even pleasant. The staff seemed particularly unhappy and unpleasant. No one smiled , no one seemed to know anything if you asked a question. My first night there someone came into my room while I was sound a sleep. When I awoke all my prescription drugs were gone. I asked for them and no one seemed to know anything. I taught High School for 40 years. I do not have dementia. I bathed myself , got in and out of bed by myself, walked to the bathroom, elevator and dining room with a walker chair. I needed no assistance. I was not a math teacher but my calculations is as follows. They charged me $32,000 for 4 months. They took $30,000 and then demanded an additional $22,000 when I was checking out. I had had enough. When I balked at the ridiculous high price they threatened to put a lien on my house in Ft. Lauderdale for the additional $22,000. Thank goodness I had a house to go back to. My over all feelings??? What a racket Lutheran Towers has become. Absolutely no one seemed happy. The staff seemed particularly sour and extremely rude. As for the food ?? Dinner was often cold cuts or something Italian on a cold hot dog bun.

Pt and ocps was fantastic. Housekeeping was good. Nurses were great to not so great. Office dealing with details not good. Discharged days ago. Trying to set up PT and OPT with company I was referred to by the commons and the company said they’ve never heard of the commons, but they need a referral of course call passes from floor to floor finally to a number that didn’t answer.

The staff here are compassionate, experienced and friendly. They treat my mother-in-law with respect, kindness and dignity. We are grateful for them and the care they give. It give our family peace of mind.

Decent Independent Living but no communication from Administration while in Assisted Living and Rehab. Moving company associated with them are not detailed and furniture was lost in transit to their new room. When confronted with this, manager was very unprofessional and unconcerned about this. Parking is not good. A valet is available sometimes . I would not recommend this facility for your loved one. There are much better places in this area for your loved one.

My name is Aureliz Rodriguez and father is diabetic and he was in their facilities for 2 and a half months and the staff is super friendly in special Lismarie, but there is no diet for diabetics, on Father's Day my father received a bag of candies, the treatment towards my father was poor since the intimate parts of my father were super irritated and with ulcers. The doctor Mishra prescribed my father's prescriptions for a month since June 22, which was his discharge and due to lack of the doctor's #DEA I have not hated getting the medications. My father suffered a stroke, he is chronic diabetic, suffers from depression, dizziness, urinary incontinence, high pressure, he does not speak or walk well after the stroke.

This place was terrible! My grandfather was there and we had to call 911 because he got a cellulitis and urine infection! They also discharged him and didn't let us know until 2 days after, and wanted to charge all the money. They were so irresponsible!!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR FAMILY MEMBER HERE!

very clean and the staff is nice and attentive most times. PT is lacking and none on weekends. Have only seen OT twice in 4 months. Food has no taste and no matter how nice the dining room is the food is bland. Would like to see more staff interaction especially with nurse. Nurse asst. are hurried but helpful. Had to remind staff that patient only has use of one side and needs help cutting food and opening containers.

Commons at Orlando Lutheran Towers is taking care of my friend very well. It's clean and she's happy there. The staff seems to be very caring. Sometimes my friend complains about the food, but the dining area looks nice. She likes to play Bingo and she goes to church, so she's enjoying herself.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

After my husband broke his leg, he had to go into rehab in the Commons at Lutheran Tower. I thought it was poorly staffed, and I had to have a private caregiver because they had too many patients and not enough nurses. I talked to one of the nurses one day because the man in the bed next to him would ask to go to the bathroom, and then an hour later, he was still sitting there. I felt like they did not give good care. They needed more nurses. A nurse said they had asked for them and they always say no. The location was good and homey.

Looks okay, but the care is average! Only 1 nurses station on 2nd floor, the rest of the floors do not have staff on them alot of the time. Doors are self lock, so residents often times lock their self out of their room, with no one to let them in. No place to park!!!!!!!! Vomit and fecal matter has been left in the common areas for several hours before being cleaned up! Theft is a problem. The food is awful! I would stay away, much better facilites in the area.

My mother is OK there at Commons at Orlando Lutheran. They take care of her. It’s not the best, but at least it’s good. I’m satisfied with the care. When you get in, you will see that everything is clean and neat. You can see everybody on the floor in there. The staff -- they’re really nice, and they come to me right away. They'll let me know how my mom is doing. They almost know us. We usually go every single day. They try to put my mom with the same person; they don’t switch a lot. There are a few staff assigned to my mom. They know my mom, and they know already what to do with her.
