My uncle has moved into CERTUS Premier Memory Care Living - Waterford Lakes. It's amazing, clean, and thoughtful in the care of people with memory issues. The staff is very well trained in dealing with people who have memory issues. They're easy to talk to. I keep in touch with them often. We're confident that my uncle is in a safe place. I had a meal there, and it was good. The chef had 30 years of experience at Disneyworld. The majority of the food is from scratch and what little meal we had was very good. There are a lot of things available to residents. My uncle at this time does not want to participate in anything, but there are many activities and there's a monthly calendar posted. When my cousin and I walked in there for our tour, we said we wouldn't mind living there ourselves.

We liked CERTUS Premier Memory Care Living -Waterford Lakes. The memory care unit they have is very good. It was really good, the environment was very relaxed. Everything was new because the facility is relatively new, like two or three years, and it was a very good experience. If I could have transferred my aunt, I would have sent her there because for the same price at another place we will have a shared room, but we were able to get a room all by herself, at Certus. Everything was very safe, space, and new. You can smell that it was good, it was new. The staff was very nice. When my husband and I got there, there was a sign welcoming us, with our names, and they were very, very nice. The layout was wonderful. You didn't see people walking around, crowded. It was a relaxing place. That was the best one that I found that could meet the needs of my aunt.

I was very impressed with CERTUS Premier Memory Care Living - Waterford Lakes. It was light and airy. The staff members were all very engaging. They have a lot of programs individualized for each person's needs. It was very clean and it smelled nice of peppermint. It was a very family home feel. It's memory care only. I saw the rooms and they were very nice. Everything was clean. The floors looked like tiles but they're carpet for stability. They were great. It's very state-of-the-art and everything there is based on research. The staff was great. He sat with me, answered questions that I had, and gave me a tour, and he spent quite a bit of time with me. I was very impressed.

I visited CERTUS Premier Memory Care Living. It's the Cadillac of assisted living. They have colored bathroom seats so they know where to go at nighttime, and they have a red light. They have sensors if they fall during the night, or if they get up out of their bed during the night, and they check on them every two hours. It's beautiful, and they have a lot of colors, like the plates; they have red plates if you're not eating and the blue plates if you eat too much, but I'm not sure about that part. The staff knows about their patients and they're always engaging them. That's what I noticed when I was there. They had instruments there, a workout room and a really nice salon. They have like a downtown thing, and the carpet is really cool. You would think it was brick, but it was actually carpet. They have a kitchen with cookies in it so you can stop by and grab a cookie. They have a really big fish tank, and they have little activity centers throughout the halls. They have like a bunch of tractors in there, but they were all gone, because the guys take them. They have a garden and everything, which is nice; it's actually beautiful. I would have loved to put my mother there, but I just couldn't afford it.

My daughter will be residing at CERTUS in Waterford Lakes. This place is modern, warm, welcoming, and most of all very safety conscious for those dealing with memory care issues. Of all the facilities I have seen, I will put CERTUS at the very top. I am happy to see my daughter go there. We were assisted by DeMarco, the director of community relations. He's extremely experienced, knowledgeable, personable, and helpful. The dining area was beautifully laid out. It's a small group of people. They have at least four attendants there to assist those who need help. They had one class going on while I was there on a large video screen. It was like a gentle exercise class with music that they could do while seated in their chairs or stand if they wished. I did not see the entire facility, but there is an exercise room that is set up very well for PT. There is a nice, full-service beauty salon, and a lady comes in once a week. It's beautifully laid out like a small downtown or village area. There's a little thing that says "Post Office," a beautician shop, and a very large family dining room that people can reserve. There's an inner courtyard with speakers for music, and their floors have unique, pretty tiles, but it's really a softer material with sensors in the floor. If someone has a fall, it's immediately noted through that sensor program to whomever is monitoring the screens. DeMarco is top notch and the best I've seen in any facility, and I'm a very picky person.

My mother moved into Certus Premier Memory Care Living. It's new, it's very focused on what's best for the patients, and the nursing there is outstanding. It's very clean, and it's new, and the grounds are beautiful. Everybody's been very professional, pleasant, and helpful. She has told me that she really likes the food. They have activities all day, so that keeps the residents very busy and active.
