I checked in at the front desk and was told there were Active Covid Cases. The receptionist asked who I was visiting & she told me the room number. She should have shared that my loved one had Covid. Or, she could have mentioned the patient is in quarantine. Please keep visitors out if that is the case. I had on a mask offered & wore it down the hall. The physical therapist going to my friends room, gave me one of the N 95s to put on. I stood outside and my friend told me to go away. It’s just sad that the patient has to tell us that. It would be nice if the receptionist would give us something we could write on and they can get a note at least to our loved ones. Please use your brains this time .

I have a dear friend that is a resident and she has to call for outside help to call the nusing station to send her help. Her body is weak she cannot move but her mind is strong. They leave her for hours wet and don't change her or annoy her cries for help. This should not be. If things do not change i will be reporting them.

First and foremost, this place is awful. Although the therapy helped my mother, the nursing staff and others didn't do their jobs very well. There were a number of issues while my mother was there, but the ones that stick out the most for me...... my mother had to remind the nurses to give her the medications her doctor prescribed for her, check her vitals and left her in the bathroom for extended periods of time without checking on her. It would take forever for someone to come and check on my mom when she would ask for assistance. We choice this facility as it was close to my mother's home and convenient for family members to visit her. So...just warning you this place is truly awful.

Therapy was good however the desired accomplishments were not met prior to discharge. Immediate staff was good, food average, recreation staff needs to be more personable. Total miscommunications between admissions, administrator and social services. They need more qualified staff on weekends in the office area. It's like the office personnel is in their own bubble.

My grandmother just spent quite a while at this facility. We toured many facilites before choosing one. We are very pleased with her outcome. The facility is clean and well kept. The food is much better than we have seen by far. The employees are mostly very attentive and caring. The directors and most of the nursing staff in this building put their heart into their staff and residents everyday. None of the other facilities cared to even learn my name when I was touring. The administrator here remembered me and my grandmother right away. We were always greeted and treated with such loving care. I am so blessed that there are still people in this world that care for other's family as if it were their own. My grandmother is home now. I am glad we chose the right facility.

My husband has been at Lake Bennett for rehab. I think he got very good occupational, physical and voice therapy there five days a week. I didn't have complaints about the facility. It didn't have all the amenities that they have at other communities. It's an older but nice place. The food was adequate. The staff members were good. It's a very nice, adequate facility, but they didn't have a lot of private rooms. Most of the rooms are semi-private. However, I was satisfied with the progress that my husband made there. I was satisfied with Lake Bennett.

My mom went in for rehabilitation from a femur surgery and ended up in worst condition in the hospital with extreme dehydration and blood clogs in her hand. I'very her care taker for the past 4years. She has always had a good appetite and good health never had surgery up till this current fall. I noticed her appetite decreased and I notified the therapist-social worker and the CNA. Then I noticed her getting worst and noticed her dehydration right away and begged them to give her IV. Their answer was that they needed to do some testing. I begged for three days and on the third day she ended up in the hospital with severe dehydration. This is not a place to send the ones you LOVE. they will come out in worst condition.. Don'the let the clean facility fool you. 99% of the employees do NOT care. Ifor it wasn't that I visit mom three times a day- changed her diaper-stayed on top of her meals and medications she would had passed with their own conclusion.

I was at Lake Bennett in 2015 and I was sleep deprived for 11 days. All up and down the hall televisions blast 24 hours a day. They will do nothing about it.I kept asking to see someone in charge of the facility but they never sent anyone to see me. One night the house DR. came in and I told her what was going on. I heard her speak to one of the nurses to keep the noise level down. The next night it was as bad as ever. I spoke to the nurse and told her what the doctor said. Her reply was" she wouldn't have said that I'm bringing a witness in to hear what you just said" I repeated to the witness what I said. I suffered being there for all of the 11 days because of the way I was treated. The only reason I gave it even 1 star was because of physical therapy.

My mom has been a resident here for a while. I have decided to take the time to write a review now because I want to recognize all of the positive changes I have seen at Lake Bennett in the last few months. Senior care is a challenging field for anyone involved. But, the place has gone from just ok to PRETTY GREAT in the past few months. There is a new manager/person-in-charge and boy should Lake Bennett brag about having her on their team. She is so caring for her residents and staff. She evens cares about us family members. I see how she interacts with her staff, as I visit my mother very often and I can tell she is making a positive impact. My mom has even told me on several occasions that the staff seems to have a "new pep" in their step lately. The building also has a pretty great team overall. My mom always says that perfection does not exist... but she told me that she feels that Lake Bennett is definitely moving in that direction lately. Early this year, we thought about moving her just for the sake of change. But, she and her friends constantly talk about the good changes that have come in the recent months and the positive momentum that she will be staying for as long as she wants. Keep up the great job Lake Bennett Team. The changes so far have been awesome! I know you all work in a challenging field. Thank you for what you do.

Don't go here my mom has been here for 3 days and if I could take her home with me I would. The feeding times are absolutely absolutely ridiculous not to mention the portions. We have to make sure we take her a meal and snacks on a daily basis. Just to make sure she eats. Also the staff is less than helpful ALL of them. You stand at the desk they walk by and ignore you. I've waited all day 2 days in a row now and have yet to meet my mothers DR. If I could give it negative stars I would these people are ridiculous. Can't wait to get her out safely then file an official complaint. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

i would strongly, speaking from a personal experience to seriously reconsider from sending a loved one to this place. they are the most UNPROFESSIONAL group of nurses as well as the entire staff. our experience here was one in which i would never want to see another family endure. Dr Merchant who is the director of lake bennett happens to be an excellent dr while making rounds in health central, however, his name as an executive board member of lake bennett had in my opinion discredited his name. the carelessness of the nurses who are the men and woman we are trusting our loved ones with are absolutely unacceptable. we had to make sure every single thing as well as every medication was written out for my mother before she can take what they were giving her..and, if we didnt she would have taken many different drugs which she was not to be taken, numerous mistakes which are unacceptable when someones life depends on these nurses. there is not one positive experience i can say we had here and not a good comment i could leave. i have seen the goes on in their faciilty as i spent every moment possible there and i would not be surprised if half the patients there were being giving wrong medications and being sedated for no good reason..my family and i were thankfully so on top of their every move as if we werent she would not be with us. i cant express strongly enough, reconsider..other places may not look as nice but i can tell you from experience that lake bennetts staff will yes you to death but their bed side manner is appalling and once again the most unprofessional i have ever witnessed please do your homework, read all reviews and dont second guess them just because the dr whoms name is on the wall is certified in this business, he never showed up not once upon many requests for that matter neither did the house dr. maybe once, but lied and we have the proof they lied ..sadly most of the patients did not have the frequent visitors so they were trusting that the care they were being given was what should be expected....be your own advocate..ask tons of questions...know what meds are being given at all times,,and most importantly..DO NOT ACCEPT A NURSE OR A DR TO TALK DOWN TO YOUR LOVED ONE WITH DISRESPECT..DO NOT TRUST THAT THESE NURSES HAVE YOUR LOVED ONE BEST INTEREST AT HEART,,,THEY DONT.....there are wonderful and caring nurses out there onces who take their jobs with the care and compassion that they took an oath to do and be...unfortunaltey lake benett does not have them at their facility...DO YOUR HOMEWORK...GO WITH YOUR GUT...READ REVIEWS...AND DONT BE TALKED IN TO ANY FACILITY BY ANYONE UNLESS YOU HAVE TALKED TO SOMEONE WHO HAS BEEN THERE...we read the reviews, but because dr merchant was so great and caring at health central we gave them the benefit of the doubt..and we did regret that decision...

My grandmother spent a few months at Lake Bennett Health and Rehabilitation Center. For the most part, residents share rooms. Two people per room. The facility is average, if I was to compare it to a hotel I'd give it 1 star. The look of the furniture and decor are a bit run down and give it an institutional feel. The common areas were generally clean. The staff was hit or miss. Some nurses were very attentive and responsive. Others where very disengaged and didn't have the best attitude. Response time when patients used the nurse button wasn't very good. As far as activities, they had a nice selection of offerings for the seniors. from field trips to internal events and crafts.
