My mom has been a resident since Oct. She has some excellent nurses and aides. Any complaints/problems we had were addressed immediately and taken care of. I like that they handle all her medical care and I have constant interaction with staff and management and very happy with them. They have plenty of activities that my mom goes to. My mom can choose to eat in her room or go to the dining room for her meals. The building she is in is old, but clean. She gets to choose what meals she wants and most of them are really good. Everyone treats her and me with respect.

My father spent two week at this facility and it is absolute garbage. He was not properly cared for and the staff does their best to keep everyone out due to covid even going so far as to mislead family members. They are hiding from the public because the care that they are providing is not even close to acceptable. If you care about your family member do not use this facility.

My mother moved into Lakeland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. I like it for what it is. It's not fancy, but they're really good people there, and they do the best they can with what they have. I see her all the time, so I know what's going on. She has a shared room. They also have a floor for rehab. They do a lot of activities, they have a couple of common areas, a cafe or dining area, and it's really nice. They bring an Elvis impersonator in, they have singers and dancers that come in, they have bingo, arts and crafts, and they take them out to eat at a restaurant every now and then.

First my boss's Mom stayed there but she was neglected. Bed sores, She was not cleaned properly. She took her out of the home. Now my niece's Mom is in the hospital for many different health reasons but she also has bed sores. What is the deal??Both her daughter's live out of state so in my opinion no able to check more likely more health issues.

My brother is in Palm Terrace. He is in a nursing home with hospice. I can't say anything bad about them; they're all good. They're doing everything well. Their rooms are small. My brother is at end of life, and it is not too comfortable to be in there for any length of time -- and we do stay there for a long time -- so that's probably the only thing about that I haven't been happy about. He has hospice now with them, and my relative is sitting on a hard chair, I had one that is a little more comfortable, but it is not great. They have a lot of activities, but we haven't paid too much attention to them because my brother is beyond that. What I like about this facility is that it is very clean, it is very convenient to me, and the staff is very nice.

I was trying to get my mom into Palm Terrace, and I cannot get her in because they never had beds available for Medicaid. Their rooms were private and semi-private, but they were very nice. They had quite a few activities, and they had a nice therapy gym area too. The staff seemed to be very nice too. I have a girlfriend who has her mother there, so that is kind of a little extra inside information about how her mother is being treated.

My mother just discharged from this rehab center and had a wonderful experience. It appears as though there is new administration and new director of nursing since my mothers last stay almost a year ago. The difference has been night and day. Staff are friendly and eggar to assist, a chef greeted us within a day of our stay to arrange a meal plan catered to my moms likes and dislikes all within her doctors strict orders. Therapy staff was caring and management was quick to respond to any concerns. I chose this center for my mother because of Medicare's rating of 4 out of 5 stars. I would rate them a 5 out of 5 and recommend to anyone needing short term Rehab.

My father is a resident of this facility. He was not able to be rehabilitated and was transferred to a long term care unit there. Literally within months, he obtained pressure ulcers on his coccyx and both heels that can't be staged. They are necrotic and full of slough. There are other wounds also. I have to say that the staff on that unit are not competent at all, it is full of new LPN's, and the unit manager is an LPN too. When I spoke to the UM regarding his care, she basically threw her employees under the bus...needless to say, that didn't impress me at all. Since being there, my father has been to the hospital countless times with Sepsis, anemia, hypotension, renal failure and PEG tube placement just to name a few. The wound on his coccyx got so bad that it needed to be debrided and it is actually big enough to put your fist in, seriously. I seriously despise that place, but the insurances are soo picky and placement is limited. If I were able to take care of him at home I sure would. I have to prompt them to do lab work...I guess they don't know that when some elder people get confused it's a sign of infection. I did place a complaint with the State of Florida, via the abuse hotline. Now I have to follow through with other measures too. I want to make sure that our loved ones are taken care of by competent people. I rated them a 1 because zero is not an option.

They ignored my mother-in-law's medical chart. She is allergic to chocolate (and anything with cocoa) and citrus. They were constantly adding chocolate to her food tray and for the first month were slipping her Vitamin C pills which caused her to swell and have no use of her limbs. Her cell phone was stolen by a worker and they lost the clothing she had when she was admitted. Most of the workers were very nice but there are some bad apples and the administrative personnel are abhorrent!
