My mother is a resident of Oakmonte Village at Lake Mary - Valencia. It's a wonderful, beautiful place, and it's well-appointed. Each unit has its own chef, and they have nice food. If you're independent, they have happy hour every day from 4 pm to 5 pm, appetizers, wine, and beer every day, and then dinner starts at 5 pm. You can eat in the dining room, or you can have it sent to your room. They have nice floor plans and have one of the largest rooms available. It has 800 something square feet, so it's very large. They have a washer and dryer in almost every unit in the independent, and a lot of them do in the assisted. They do have wonderful activities. They even have villas if you want to live in a house. They are like duplexes, and they have car garages and two and three bedrooms each. They're not overly expensive, especially for what they are. I think they're in line with everybody else, but they seem to offer a lot more than other places. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They help you do anything that they can there, and they just have very good communication with you. They check every day on the residents. If they don't see them having breakfast downstairs, then they call the room or go to their room and make sure every day that every resident is up and kicking. They do housekeeping once a week. They take your sheets and wash them in the washer and dryer. You're required to have two sets; they put on the clean set, and wash and dry the other. They also vacuum your rags, straighten them up, and clean the bathroom. They do that once a week, and every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, they pick up trash at your door. So, it's very nice. They have all kinds of things, all kinds of fish, and all other kinds of meats. I am so surprised that their meats, especially their beef, are the most tender that I've ever had. I don't know how they prepare it, but every kind of beef roast or beef stew, anything that we've had has just been fork tender. They have a chef and he doesn't use salt, he uses spices. They have a varied menu for your main meals, and they have all kinds of cereal, croissants, pastries, and that kind of stuff for breakfast. It's just spotless. They're always vacuuming and cleaning all the time. They have a pool, a big card room, an exercise room, and a billiards table, and they have bingo two to three times a week. Every night at the happy hour, they have a grand piano playing and entertaining. It reminds me of a nice casino lobby. They have pictures all over. It's fancy. They have marble floors and all that kind of stuff. It's just really nice, I couldn't be happier. I saw a lot of places that were nice, but every one of them was smaller, and this is just really huge. It's just a big complex. I think they said 100 or more acres of property, that they have walking trails through. They only have buildings on the front end of the property, and in its back behind a bunch of condos. There's a pretty good-sized lake that you pass going into it. They have a gated entrance, but so far, I've never seen them close it. They do have a gatehouse with entry there that comes and goes. I do think it's worth the price, because I toured at least 15 or more places, and it was the best. Even the other ones that were the same price, their rooms were smaller, or they didn't have a washer and dryer in all the rooms, and they didn't have the size of the dining room. There were a bunch of nice ones and some brand-new ones that are really pretty, but they're just so much smaller in scale. To me, they just look like a grand casino, and everybody has their own apartment, so you just kind of go off to your room just like you would if using a hotel. They're just really good people. The directors are very personable. When I went in, the director of admissions, knew everybody by their names. I don't know how long the people have been there, but he's been there quite some time. They're very people-oriented. I've seen the staff playing billiards with some of the residents, so they join in with them whenever they have time.

We toured Oakmonte Village at Lake Mary - Valencia. We were offered two different meals. One was during a presentation and the other one was during lunch, so they took us to the ala carte lunch. We thought it was good. The one that was planned was, we had no choices, but then the second one was in a little cafe, and we did have a choice of what we wanted to eat. It was the highest on our list. You never get what you have in a house. It's only 1100 square feet. So you're downsizing, but we did choose two bedrooms and two baths. It's clean and it's fairly well maintained. When this apartment became available for us to see, they had upgraded carpeting. They had repainted and upgraded the bathrooms and kitchens with the stone and, new plumbing, new faucet. So everything's done already. The staff was wonderful. I think they're outgoing. The fact that people work there all the time, passing in the hallways, we would walk through the hall and would see a class going on. They had lunch-and-learn, and different things were going on almost all the time. They were the most forthright to tell us what we did get, and what we didn't get. They didn't promise us something and then take it away. They didn't play around with us, and say this is what you get, and then you don't get it at the end. They didn't present anything more than what we got and more than what we expected. So, I thought they were extremely fair.

Oakmonte Village at Lake Mary - Valencia was nice. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The layout was nice. The room was pretty standard. I visited like 20 places, and they all pretty much looked the same after a while. I only met one person, which was the sales rep. He was very helpful and very nice. It's out of my mother's price range. I didn't care for the fact that the carpet smelled old and musty, but it didn't look dirty. You have to be careful with carpets because they can get a musty smell easily in Florida.

I liked Oakmonte Village at Lake Mary-Valencia very much. If they chose to do an inclusive, I was behind them on that one. It was very nice. It was not as new but it had been remodeled. The staff was wonderful. They had some nice amenities. We were there for lunch. I got to try the salad bar, and I think my husband had some kind of turkey dinner meal, and they were very good.

I had an in-person tour of Oakmonte Village at Lake Mary. I liked the staff who I talked to because the quality of the staff is going to dictate to me whether or not I'm even going to get past the front door and take a look at their facilities. So I was impressed with the people that I dealt with. The room that I looked at was clean and well laid out. I think it was very sufficient for its intended purpose. They had a library, a pool area, crafts, and a basic workout area. It's a wonderful facility, and I'm pleased with the type of services they offer, such as transportation to doctor's appointments or shopping.

Oakmonte Village's staff is very good. The food is great, too. What I really like is that it has three separate buildings (one for independent, one for assisted living, and one for memory care). They're all separate. I'm in the independent living and it seems like a normal living process instead of being mixed together with all the others. Everybody is pretty good in this building. The rooms are very good and fairly spacious. I have a two-bedroom so that people can come and visit me. There are all sorts of activities here. They keep you busy. They have a small gym. I feel like I'm on a cruise; that's the atmosphere.

Oakmonte Village is very nice, very good, and I liked it. Its in the vicinity, which is very convenient to our existing doctor, hospital, and medication servers. They gave a tour, they served snacks, and it was very nice. We enjoyed it. They have coffee available in the lobby, and we saw the people walking around. There were very nice clients, and it's probably one of the best communities we saw.

Oakmonte Village seemed fine and very clean, but the facility had a cold feeling that was not warm and welcoming. It was close to I-4, and the grounds looked great. They had a pool, and it seemed like they had a lot of amenities for the residents. I saw one recently redone room that looked great.

Oakmonte Village Valencia seems to be the front runner right now. The tour was very good, and everybody seemed very happy. They were very active, and there were many activities rooms. Everybody seemed very lively and happy. The staff was absolutely excellent and went out of their way, and the food was very good. The director was excellent, and he knew all of the residents by name. It seemed to be a very happy community.

They decided to go to Oakmonte as they seem really happy and pleased with it. They are independent seniors, and they like it well. It is luxurious, high end, and it meets the needs of people who are looking for that kind of facility. I would absolutely recommend them. They are nothing but accommodating, and the staff was great. Anything that we have asked, we have got immediate responses.

I was able to visit Oakmonte Village at Lake Mary because it was very close to me and it's a new facility. I love it, but it was too big. It would be overwhelming for my parents. It was just a huge facility and my parents would have been too spread out and separated from each other because they would not be together.

My mom's been in Oakmonte Village since December. She's been there just barely two months. They've done very, very well. The facility was brand new and very well maintained. They have exercises, games, a movie theater, outings, and they bring in piano players. The staff was very accommodating every time I had a question. So far I would say nothing but positive about them.

My mom is in Oakmonte Village now. It's the best one I've seen. Their memory care is brand new. They opened in April. The facility is very well set. They have an excellent staff. I like them the best. I'm really happy that my mom is there. Their food is excellent. They have the same kind of activities that other memory care places have. I would highly recommend this place to others.

I recognized that Oakmonte was in fact the best facility I've ever seen in investigating all the other facilities. The Oakmonte people are super fantastic. They allowed my mom to spend a week there free of charge while I was away in the Caribbean. Their prices were comparable with the others in Las Vegas. It's the most modern and attractive facility I've ever seen. She's looking forward to moving there.

This facility was very impressive. Visually is was very luxurious and had alot of elegant designs and decor. The main lobby was large and inviting. I liked the location of the facility although i initially had trouble finding it at first. The staff was very warm and welcoming. they were very knowledgable on my questions. the price was a little high although there was lots that was being offered. I would like to keep this as a future option but may have to be ruled out due to price.
