My mom moved into Courtyard Gardens of Jupiter. It's an assisted living community, and we have Mom in the memory care section. You can have private or shared rooms, and they're very nice. The dining area is nice, and the food seems to be good. Everyone I spoke to seemed very friendly and very caring about the residents there. A big bonus is that it's five minutes down the street from where I live. They have bingo, they have people come in and sing, and they have a happy hour every day at 3:00 p.m. It's not necessarily alcohol, but they get together, and they usually have a singer or some entertainment come in. They do day trips to stores, they take them to picnics, to see the Nutcracker at Christmas time, and they took them for rides around to look at Christmas lights and decorations. Yesterday they were doing exercise in their chairs, they sang, and they asked them questions to keep their minds active. I've been really happy with the care she's getting. Its very clean, the pictures they have up are very pleasant, and its a very homey atmosphere.
What you can do with Caring
About Courtyard Gardens of Jupiter in Jupiter, Florida
Courtyard Gardens of Jupiter is a state-of-the-art, privately owned and operated assisted living facility. Our facility encompasses 85,000 square feet, including numerous outdoor gardens, walkways and other amenities not found in other facilities. The building is constructed with concrete and steel with a fire sprinkler system and backup generator for the entire facility, making the building very safe and comfortable in the event of a hurricane or a power outage.
Our memory care area is uniquely designed into two distinctly, separate areas: one for the more functional residents, who may only be a flight risk and the other for Alzheimer's residents with late-stage, advanced dementia, who are less functional and require much more nursing care involving all aspects of activities of daily living. Each distinctly separate restricted area enhances resident safety by minimizing flight risk but allows access to outdoor gardens and walkways.
Assisted Living:
Our community is designed to bring luxury living and comfortability to seniors for an affordable price.
Maintain an independent lifestyle, while gaining exceptional services, engaging in fun activities, and receiving expert assistance. At Courtyard Gardens Assisted Living of Jupiter, Florida we provide an independent and healthy assisted living community that is specifically designed to meet the unique needs of your loved ones. Our team of kind and compassionate medical professionals are skilled in the ways that help you and your senior embrace aging and pursue every opportunity for curiosity, discovery and growth.
Transitional Memory Care:
Our Transitional wing (Orchid) caters to Residents in the earlier stages of memory impairment. Although this wing is secure, it boasts a beautiful garden view along with secure garden access. This allows our Residents to truly enjoy our Jupiter, Florida climate freely. After years of caring for Residents, we came to realize that having a wing specifically for earlier stages of memory impairment would allow us to provide an even better quality of care. We opened our transitional wing in April of 2014, and have since seen great success. Our transitional Residents have the unique opportunity to work with our Activities Team, focusing on specific capabilities, for 12 hours a day. We believe this is our key to keeping each Resident functioning at their highest level. Activities range from picnics at the beach and movie nights with popcorn, to more hands-on activities like crafting and puzzles.

BEWARE! Not a place for someone who needs care and assistance. We were told residents get 2 hour check-ins, which did not happen. Our loved one ended up in the hospital with a life threatening situation in need of emergency surgery, which was clearly missed by the staff! Large bruising from a fall unreported! They do NOT offer call button necklaces or bracelets and have an antiquated call system. After multiple meetings with the executive mgr, director of nursing and executive sales director problems continued. You know there's an issue when the gatekeeper says the director of nursing and executive director refuse to give you the owners email address, which is why I chose to report our horrid experience here. Being a caretaker is hard enough, this was a very costly mistake that almost resulted in death.

I am highly disappointed in Courtyard Gardens. My aunt lived there for 5+ years until her death in June. Due to her limited mobility she was moved up to level 4 care which included an extra aide to help move her. The cost was about $900 a month more. No problem. She had serious problems after a short stay in rehab and we provided an aide for 12 hours a day, 7-7. That’s when Courtyard Gardens began to take advantage and checked on her less and provided less care. Even the aide we supplied couldn’t get another aide to come help when needed. Fortunately we were also using hospice care that provided free assistance. They did health checks. When she passed, we were told if we were out by the 15th of July, we would get 1/2 the rent back. I didn’t even mention that no meals were served or no level 4 care was given. So now it is the middle of November and no refund has been made. Messages to the director are unreturned and the financial person has made all types of excuses. She finally said the refund was mailed out. Twelve days gone by and no refund. Absolutely no respect. We had complained about missing items in the past and nothing was done. Complained about the wait time for aides to show up and lack of so called level 4 care, nothing. Couldn’t really make waves because I did not want to give them a reason to kick out a 99 year old woman who was bedridden the last year of her life.

I was not impressed with the tour I had at Courtyard Gardens of Jupiter. The staff was nice, but not very thorough. They could only show me one room. I wasn't real happy with the staff. They didn't impress me. I told Mom she's not going there. She would not be happy there. The room I saw was typical, nothing fancy or anything, just a typical kitchenette, one bedroom, one bathroom. For some reason, I just had a really bad gut feeling about that place, and I was not impressed. They had outside gardens, but everything inside was just kind of mundane. The outside garden was the only thing that I liked.

We didn't like Courtyard Gardens of Jupiter. We would cross that off our list. It was dark, and there were a lot of people who were unhealthy. The staff was very nice. I think she was the activities person who gave us the tour, but she was not the person who was supposed to. She just couldn't answer a lot of our questions. I worked in business my whole career, and I would say that it was a miss when they do something like that because it turns people off. The person was perfectly pleasant, but she couldn't answer our questions. We didn't get a booklet, and we didn't get anything from them. I don't think that the tour was well done. I think if you're trying to sell a place, that wasn't a good way to do it. We just didn't care for it. We didn't care for the tour, but I don't want to blame the person that gave us the tour because she was doing it as a favor. There were a lot of sick people there. There was a nurse. I think it's supposed to be a combination of independent and assisted, but what we were seeing was a lot of people in wheelchairs and walkers. I thought it was kind of dark. We didn't get a lot of information or a lot of questions answered because the poor lady didn't have that information. They never gave us the brochure. The person who was supposed to give us a tour wasn't there for whatever reason. They had a courtyard, but we felt like it was really overgrown because I remember we commented on it. Maybe the people liked that, but we felt like the vegetation needed some attention because it just was a little overwhelming.

I found the Courtyard Gardens of Jupiter for my mother. It's really nice, I like it. It's a very nice place. It seems clean and they keep it clean. The staff seemed OK to me, I didn't get to interact with a whole lot of them, Sue took me on a tour. She did introduce me to some of the folks involved. But for the most part, the people that I met were very nice. The rooms were very, very nice. They have several different designs, they have several different style rooms, but they were all very, very nice. They were very comfortable. I didn't have a problem with the layout of the room whatsoever. They have a beauty salon, which is nice, a physical therapy room which is nice. I did see some people doing puzzles and stuff like that, and they have bingo.

I was looking for the perfect place for my mom, who moved here from WA state to live near me. When I visited Courtyard Gardens, I was so excited about what I found: a clean, beautiful, peaceful environment. Carol was a joy to work with and was very helpful in making the transition, and all of the staff--from front desk to wellness center to dining room to caregivers--have been nothing but friendly, caring and professional! My mom is on the assisted living side and takes advantage of all that CG has to offer: happy hour with great music/entertainment, arts & crafts, holiday parties, delicious meals (she loves the food!), games, movies and field trips. She feels SO safe, secure, and most of all -- NOT ALONE. She loves the company of her fellow residents, loves the freedom to be social or be alone depending on her mood, loves the beautiful courtyard and is SO grateful to be here. Her room is spacious, clean, bright and beautiful. She says she cannot say a single negative thing about her experience at CG, and she has lived here for almost two months now. We are blessed to have found such a gem right here in Jupiter.

I have been the sole caregiver for my Mother who is almost 97 and has Alzheimer's. Over these past eight years I have tried many different help options including placing Mom in a different facility after one of her numerous hospital and rehabilitation stays. I brought her home almost immediately and have tried in home health care assistance. I will never be able to thank the people at Courtyard Gardens for the help that they have given to both my Mother and to me. This is not a facility where patients are strapped into chairs and left alone. Every time I visit, my Mother is interacting with other patients and the staff, every single person knows my Mom's name, her favorite snacks, movies, games and I come and go at all hours of the day. No secrets here, they care 24/7. If you have to make the most difficult decision of your life to place your most precious loved one in the care of another, I would highly recommend this amazing facility. I can actually sleep at night knowing my Mother is lovingly cared for. Thanks to the team at Courtyard. They are the best.

The people at Courtyard Gardens of Jupiter were so nice and the chef was real nice. It was a nice place. They did have activities and day trips. The food was good. They all knew my mother by name, and they knew me by name. If I came in, they would tell me where she is if she wasn't in her room. They were right on top of where the residents were. It was a little bit pricey though.

Courtyard Gardens of Jupiter was a beautiful place. It's immaculate. I just had a good feeling when I walked through the door. The apartments were very nice. They had a whole calendar of things to do. You could be as busy as you want or as idle as you want. Everybody has been very friendly and very caring.

My grandmother is now in Courtyard Gardens. Everything seems to be okay there. So far, it's still good. Everyone that works there is very nice. The staff seems to be caring; they seem to care about my grandmother's interest. So I think the staff's work ethic is pretty good. My grandmother has a single room unit. It's not too big. Also we have to supply a television for her. With regards to food, she seems to like it. We always offer to bring her outside food but she doesn't want it. She's okay with the food that's there. For activities, they do bingo and shows. They have live music. Last Christmas, they had like a play. They also have a nice area where they can go out and enjoy the day and get some fresh air.

I found Courtyard Gardens of Jupiter because of its close proximity to my home. It was my number one choice for my mom and I'm just blessed that it's only 10 minutes away from me. They have what they call "transitional unit," which means it is more than assisted living but not yet a nursing home care. The very first time that I stepped in the door, I noticed that it was clean. I like the caring staff and the ratio of the staff to the patients. They take great care of their patients. They answered all my questions. They have called me numerous times and updated me on what's going on with my mother whether it's physical therapy they recommended for her or how was her doctor's appointment. I also liked that they have two doctors onsite that come to the facility and do the exams right there. They're very professional. I did eat there before and the food is excellent. My mom is now eating regularly. Before, she was losing so much weight because she has dementia and she was forgetting to cook. Also because she was legally blind, she can't buy her own food. The rooms are fine and clean. They're also affordable. My mom happens to be in a shared room. They have many activities at Courtyard Gardens. Residents have gone to the fair, to the science museums, etc. They had a huge Christmas celebration where probably more than 300 people were invited. They also had Fourth of July party. Residents are very active there. During the weekdays, they get them out. They don't just let them sit in their rooms all day. They put them on a bus and they take good care of them. One thing I have noticed when I stopped by to see my mother was more than one worker will say, "Oh by the way, you're mother had a wonderful time at the fair, I saw her eating a corndog." For them to take notice of what's she's eating, to me that says that they're taking good care of her there. I would absolutely recommend this place. She has only been there for two weeks but I'm very satisfied with them.

Courtyard Gardens is much smaller than the other facilities. My father is blind, so that makes a huge difference. The food is excellent, and he's very happy with the food. He's been there for about a month now. I'm very satisfied with them.

Mom has been in Courtyard Gardens for a while. The place is fantastic and the staff is excellent. They even have a chef from Ritz Carlton. The facility is also equipped to handle hurricanes, and the residents don't have to leave the facility because they're all set for that. The rooms are lovely. They have all kinds of activities on site. They provide transportation for doctor's appointments. Mom is very, very happy.

I didn't like the layout of Courtyard Gardens because it's all spread out. There's a courtyard in the middle and they have all these doors. I thought for sure, if my husband would go out and take a walk, he wouldn't know which door to go in. It was all sprawled out large. But inside is more consolidated. And for its price, it just didn't seem like it was as clean as it should be. There are stains on the carpet. The staff seem to be friendly.

This is a facility with a lot of love. I have visited since the place opened, and everyone is smiling. I don't know if it is because of the food, or that good Jupiter water, but it seems to be such a happy place.
