Canterfield of Ft. Myers was my mother's home for the final 3 years of her life. Several factors played into our choice: The family liked that it was a smaller community and seemed more congenial and manageable, it was in close proximity to family members, and the staff were always pleasant and caring. As Mom lost mobility, the staff made sure she was always a part of activities. So many little kindnesses truly made our choice feel right. The building is well maintained and there is great effort to make it feel homey. Rooms are current and equipped, and Canterfield allows for many personal touches.

Canterfield of Fort Myers was very attractive. We had a positive first impression. It's a new modern facility. The staff who accommodated us was excellent. She gave a very good tour and was very thoughtful. We liked her a lot, and we liked the place pretty much, too. It was a close call there, but we just couldn't make it happen. We did not try the food there, but that would be one bit of advice that I would tell everyone, to be sure you eat three meals any place where you go because that's over half of what you're paying for the place. It's a very difficult situation because you're not likely to be able to make any changes to that situation, no one ever gave us that advice.

I toured Canterfield of Fort Myers. I thought that the facility itself was maintained very nicely. It was very clean. The rooms were a nice size. The prices were on the lower side, so that would make it a little bit more affordable for my mother. I thought that the facility was very fresh and updated. They had an outside courtyard. The people were very friendly. The rooms were very nice.

We went to see Canterfield of Fort Myers today. The place was nice, calm, and quiet, and the residents seemed just fine and happy. The apartment that we saw was nice and spacious. It had a kitchenette, nice closets, and a walk-in shower. Each room had its own air conditioning thermostat. They had a library. They played bingo, games, and puzzles, and they had arts and crafts.

Canterfield of Fort Myers is relatively new to the area, but it's very, very clean and well-maintained. The rooms are big and the prices are low. My parents are moving in next week. Everything which they have in their brochure is there, from the library, the dining hall, the pool room, they have computers, they have billiards, they have a theater section, arts and crafts, a hair salon, and wellness centers. They will be in assisted living. I haven't had any experience with anyone, but the saleslady and the front desk. They offer every single thing all the other places do, really nothing much more. All the others in this area are way, way overpriced and their rooms are so much smaller. Canterfield gives you all the same amenities, they give you a bigger room, and it is for a lower price.

Canterfield of Fort Myers has more than one outside courtyard. The memory care is all locked down so you don't have to worry about them wandering out. They seemed to have the same amount of staff members as the other facility we saw so they could stay on task.

My mom stayed in Canterfield of Fort Myers Assisted Living for 18 days. I picked her up yesterday. Everything was convenient. Everything was good. They took good care of her. She caught a cold, but she says she's okay. Everybody loved her. And they were very attentive especially when she got sick. They took care of her. They had a thing where they fixed their nails, and she got her nails fixed. She would socialize. She socializes with the people. They said she sat outside where the weather was warm. We had lunch with her on her first day there, and it was good. The staff are wonderful. The woman we made the arrangement with was Hayley and she was wonderful.

Canterfield of Fort Myers felt open and comfortable. It was new, which was nice. It was located near the places where you can independently go if you had to, like to a store or something. The staff members were great, and a lot of them were occupied in the jobs that they were doing. They have a beautiful theater room. They have different places for you to be able to go independently where you can read, or stay by yourself, or you could go outside. The room is like a studio which is all I need for myself. I didn't eat it, but the food looks good.

We are moving my mom into Canterfield of Fort Myers. It was very clean. The residents seemed to be well taken care of. It is also less than 10 minutes away from where I live. The facility was very nice and it's new. The staff who walked us through was very nice, very pleasant, and informative. The rooms were very comfortable, well organized, and clean.

The people at Canterfield of Fort Myers seemed nice, friendly, and engaging during our tour. It's brand new, they've only been open since October. They say they have 40 beds in memory care but right now, there are only 16 residents. They're getting great care right now because there are only 16 of them, but once there gets to be 40 of them in there, you have no idea how it might change. The staff was informative and nice. The facility is very clean and they have very spacious rooms, the most spacious of any of the places we've gone to. The outdoors, because it's brand new and they're still building some villas, there's some construction going on. I would say the surrounding right now is not great because they're still construction going on. I would say that once that's done, it'll be nicer landscapes and everything. Inside, they had a courtyard that was landscaped that the residents could go and walk around in. It's a secured landscape area in the center of the building.

My mother has moved into Canterfield of Fort Myers. We chose it because it's very close to my house, and it's brand new. The staff is excellent. The room is just basic. It's a studio apartment, and she's only been in there for three days now. The food is good from what my mother tells me. I haven't seen it or tasted anything myself, but she seems very pleased with it. As far as activities, I know they do painting, arts and crafts, and a few other different things. She hasn't been there long enough to really get involved in any of that stuff yet. Everything is brand new. I couldn't ask for anything more.
