We are living in an independent living community called The Summit of Fort Myers. It has been great. I like the size of the apartments, the friendly residents, and the friendly staff. The food at this point is very good. They have water aerobics, regular aerobics, line dancing classes, bingo, movie night, happy hour, Rummy Cube, and dominoes. We like the location within Fort Myers. We have a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment. It's just large and inviting.

First, what I liked least about The Summit of Fort Myers was when parking your automobile (if you're still driving). There were some covered parking places, but otherwise, your car would be exposed to all the elements. Then what I liked best about it, compared to what I physically saw and to what I looked at on the internet from other facilities, they had more room in their apartments. I liked the kitchen better. It looked more like an actual kitchen than just a wall with a refrigerator and a stove on it. I think at one time, it had been condos or apartments and then they had converted them all to apartments. So, I think each one was a little bit bigger than the average independent living. There's one other thing I did not like. All of the apartments overlook a very nice large courtyard, but each does not have a little lanai (no matter what size) that you could go outside and sit. You would have to go down to the courtyard. Jeremiah was the young man who gave me a tour and he is extremely knowledgeable and very, very friendly. He made you feel right at home. I was impressed. He knew every person we met in the hallway by name. The cleanliness was very good. I noticed all the hallways were carpeted. It was very quiet. They had game rooms and it was very clean and very nice. I liked the layout of the apartments. The one we viewed had a little vestibule when you walked in. Then the kitchen was to the right and you walked ahead into the living room. You were not walking directly from the hallway into your living room. It wasn't particularly bright. There was a large window at the end of the living room and the end of the bedroom. Other than that, since this was not an end unit, there wasn't a lot of light.

I will be moving into the Summit of Fort Myers. It was a beautiful place and the people were very friendly. The apartment was nice-sized. I was looking at a two-bedroom. They had activities for people. The food was very, very good. They showed me the pool area. They showed me several different apartments, the activity rooms, and the dining room. The staff was very friendly. They have buses to take people to the stores or doctors' appointments.

I went to The Summit of Fort Myers. It's a smaller facility all around, it's one building, but it was in good shape, well-maintained, and had good amenities. So, I liked the facility, and all that, just fine. Jeremiah did the tour, he was excellent, very friendly, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. It looked like they were very well organized and had many different types of amenities. People were friendly, and it was well-maintained. Everything looked fine. The problem with the summit is that it is an independent living facility, but they have no permission whatsoever to help a person in the event of a catastrophe. They made it very clear that you're on your own. If you have to evacuate, off you go. I didn't like that at all.

I toured The Summit of Fort Myers, and I liked it. I liked the apartment, too. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a small kitchen. The bedrooms are a nice size. They have everything. It's very nice. The staff is very good and very nice, as well. The place is clean. We saw the pool, and they told us about the activities and all. The only thing with Summit is that if, for some reason, you need more care, you would have to move out of there. I believe they have a library, a game room, and things for you to do (if want to).

I went to The Summit of Fort Myers. It was very nice, they were very nice, and I liked the director that I talked to. They had a long waiting list. I believe they had a year minimum that you could be there, and I don't want to get tied into that long of a contract. Everybody was super, super nice, and it couldn't be nicer. The amenities were very nice, spacious, and well-kept up. I went to an apartment where a lady was living because they didn't have any that were vacant, and it looked very nice. No problems. I did talk to a couple of residents, and they talked like they had a good time at the happy hour. They're dog friendly. The menu looked pretty good. They had a choice every night. So, they don't have to eat the same thing everybody else has, they get a variety of different meals to pick from.

The Summit of Fort Myers was a beautiful community and it's well taken care of. It's a very nice property, but the down payment plus the monthly cost was a little on the high side for me. The staff was wonderful and very nice. They showed me everything that they have. They have a pool outside. Inside, they have barber shops, movie theaters, and a restaurant. I saw the gyms and the workout rooms. I looked at a one-bedroom and that's all I'm interested in. They consist of a bedroom, a living room, and a kitchen. Everybody was very, very nice, and kind.

The Summit of Fort Myers was nice, but it was too expensive for me. Physically, it was quite a distance from your residence to the dining area. It was a hike, and it's a big facility. They only had one meal on Saturday and Sunday. Then two meals a day, whereas the other place had three meals a day, seven days a week. They're nice people, though. Katherine was very good. She gave us the tour. She was very good at explaining the facility. They also have a pool, a hot tub, a Bocce court, and a putting green.

When my mom passed away last year, it was very hard on my dad to adjust to living on his own. When he moved to The Summit everyone made him feel welcome in his new home. His apartment is clean and has so much space for him and his cat. There is a washer and dryer in the apartment and plenty of closet space. He loves going to the mail center and the convenient store is perfect for picking up anything that he needs. As you walk around the beautiful grounds you are greeted by the friendly staff. I don’t know how they remember everyone’s name. If you are looking for a home for your loved one, I would recommend The Summit. They treat your family like their own family.

The Summit of Fort Myers was very nice but too expensive for our budget. It's an excellent place. We like it. The manager helped us. When we first went, he wasn't there, and the man that manages the food and beverage took us around and he was outstanding, too. We were looking for a two-bedroom unit, which they had. It was very nice. It was on the third floor, but they had an elevator. They also have a one-bedroom, two-bedroom deluxe, and a two-bedroom regular, and we liked the two-bedroom deluxe. They have everything. It was very nice. They had transportation once a week to the grocery and things like that.

My father will be moving into The Summit of Fort Myers. We chose it because it is close to my house, the price was right, and the amenities were very good. The one bedroom apartment was beautiful, but you have to bring your own furniture. It is independent living only. They have a calendar that has all the activities listed. They have bingo, pool exercises, and cards. They also take them out, and they have a movie once a week. It is really nice. The dining area was beautiful like a really nice restaurant.

It was nice. I felt a little rushed, but the staff was able to answer my questions. The apartments were condominium sized, and they were very large and nice. I saw a library, a pool area, a gathering type room, a beauty parlor, and a little general store, which was cute. The building was very old, but the inside was clean and neat. It's an older community, and I feel that it wasn't as up and coming as the others.

It is excellent. They have a 2-bedroom, 2-bath, and they have a 2-bedroom, 2-bath deluxe apartment, which has a little bit more floor space and is ultimately what we decided on. It has a washer and dryer, a built-in microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator. The food is excellent and their restaurant is upscale. The waiters and waitresses all wear white shirt and black pants. They have white linens, tablecloths, and when they come to your table they automatically bring you a glass of water. It has all the amenities, including maid service. They make up the beds and take out the trash. It has a courtyard with an Olympic-sized heated pool and a movie theater. The facility itself is nice. It's four stories and it's in a very nice, residential neighborhood.

Our visit was wonderful and it would have been like living in a fancy hotel. They have beautiful apartments and facilities. We ate in the dining room and ordered from a menu. The staff is very nice. There were about 75% women and only 25% couples, and they were not as old as I would have thought. There's a courtyard surrounding the swimming pool. It was nicely placed with tables and chairs.

It is marvelous and wonderful. Everybody's pleasant, and it's just a great place to be. Our room is wonderful and very spacious. I like everything about it, and I would recommend it to anyone. It's the best. I have a washer and dryer, and that's what sold me on this.

It is like a 5-star, but they only had independent living. The carpeting was beautiful, it was in a good location, and it was really nice. They had a pool, theater, and a restaurant. The people were very friendly and very nice.
