This place is bad. The building is falling apart and they will have 5 residents living in one open room that is about 10x20. Most of the patients there have mental issues and the police are there everyday to take someone away. Because of this you have transient appearing people just wandering the neighborhood all day. It really drags down the area as you can tell no houses sell on the street. Its a shame these people are allowed to live in such a run down old building. This is obviously just for money and not to provide any "assistance" to the ones living there.

My son was there once before and he wanted to go back to it. I like the fact that they have a doctor and a nurse in the facility. This place is mainly for people that have an amount of psychiatric problems. The rooms are kind of crowded there and he has to share a room with someone else. But what's nice is it's just across the street from the beach. So I think the place has still a nice atmosphere to it and it's breezy. Everything has been fine there. The staff is caring and helpful. My son seemed happy there .

When I arrived at Ocean View Manor, I noticed that first of all it had been a motel at one time and then renovated into an assisted living facility, also I noticed that there is limited parking for visitors and staff. When I walked inside the facility I noticed that there is plenty of seating, but not as spacious as I would like. Also the resident rooms are quite small with very little choice of floor plans. The dinning room is fairly roomy but this is not a very large facility so they don't require a lot of room. One thing I definitely liked was you could actually walk to the beach, but on the downside the area that this facility is located in, is where it gets very noisy at certain times through out the year depending on the season. The facility does offer a variety of diets depending on what the resident requires and I also noticed that there are quite a few activities that the resident can take part in if they desire.

Ocean View Manor, provided excellent care to my grandmother while she was staying there. Not only was she able to have a wonderful view on the beach , but she was still able to do what she loved daily which is what matters the most. Friendly residents, tons of activities and an awesome staff helped my grandmother get better and on her feet !
