Mother just transferred to there from hospital. Since no interior rooms for easy access window visits were open, the manager worked with us to get her the best room available. The manger explained because of COVID, inside visits are extremely limited and must be scheduled ( all the other care centers I contacted explained the same limitations ). The manager told us they will work with front door window visits, so Dad can have easy access on the walkway and patio. Also the facility is trying to work through COVID for outside visits. Their facility, like all the others I contacted, was not designed with the COVID empidemic in mind. The manager called me when Mom first arrived to notify us that a that a change was required and will have it completed next day. The next day I called mom on her cell and it was completed. The nurse plugged in her cell phone charger so her cell phone isnt dead and we could call her. One of the staff met us at the door so we could drop off the head set for the cell phone so my mom could talk without holding the phone. They also witnessed and notorized paperwork needed for us on her POA. Mom did say she liked the food and the staff was very nice to her. Mom is a former nurse and was pleased on how the Rehab staff talked to her and explained things to her. My wife and I used to attend meetings there in the evenings in the past, the facility was always clean, smelled good, and food was good. Day 4 and no complaints from Mom. One thing on this facility was a third party person who worked with multiple care centers advised me that this facility has staff easy to work with, so far that is true. Bottom line Mom is happy, she would voice her concerns if not, the staff has worked with us the best they can with the COVID limitations. ...update......Mom just called while writing this review. She said food is good, staff is nice, bed is nice, acitvities director got her crossword puzzles she asked for, physical therapist is nice and helping her, no complaints. She is looking forward to seeing Dad inside on his scheduled visit.

I won't even give this place 1 star. Their phones lines are always down and trying to reach my mom is impossible. Don't know why the patients can't have their own phones so the place uses a portable phone to take to patients; being transferred 4 times before reaching the person that can take the phone to her. Physical therapy is rough with her leaving bruises on her. No social worker to reach out to (well that I can reach) to talk to. Visiting is a joke; once a week for 20 minutes is allowed.

I visited an old friend at Heritage Park and the facility is nice and clean. I have no complaints about it. The staff were friendly and their patients looked healthy and well.

My Mom has been placed in this facility off and on for different problems and in different sections (short/tern-now long/term) over the past 10 years. Her care has always been excellent-even in this day when we hear so many horror stories of elderly abuse. My Mom had a stroke--she rallied against all odds to return home but now is back and suffering with Alzheimer’s. We have rmeetings with the staff heads (accomodating any interested family member) every 3 months concerning her prognosis - and most important-her contentment. The second concern for a provider after insuring that excellent health and hygiene cares are met --should be the emotional well being of the patient. I feel this is where most elderly care facilities FALL SHORT. Every person should be treated like a "unique individual" and with love and respect. All the staff here are wonderful and treat my Mom like they would their own grandmother. All of my sisters-6 of us-feel like they take excellent care of "our mother". They have worked with us for large birthdays and holiday celebrations in their meeting rooms - so our Mom still feels like she is in the midst of the fun. They have helped arrange wheel chair van outings for doctors visits, funerals, and even fun outings-which seems SO important these days. Heritage Park has worked with us - together and individually- to adjust Mom's medicine so that she is now MORE "alert" mentally than she was when she arrived at the home. They never acted like we did not have the medical training or best judgement of our Mom's behavior. As sad as it is---we all know that our Mom's health is failing day by day, but "Thanks" to this "CARING" facility, we bascially feel like we have our Mom back "mentally" and can connect, and that makes all the difference.
