I visited my mom there about 4 times a week and felt like a member of their family. Professional, personal care was provided. At her passing, staff cried with us. It doesn't get any more engaged than that. I hope that readers of this review know that I highly recommend this facility. I would go there if I needed that kind of facility. My mom lived there for 5 years.

The dirtiest facility I ever saw. No concern for patients emotional well being. Resident found in a filthy room with no TV remote, calendrer on the wrong year. Orientation board on the wrong day. Phone out of reach and covered with ensure or some supplement to the point that it took me 20 minutes to scrape the junk off it. Mold on the air conditioner. Drawers were stuffed randomly and filthy. Unreal!!!

Absolutely the worst nursing home experience. Staff is overworked, yet RUDE and uncaring, Our mother had bedsores from inabiility to move. She continued to decline as they did not take the time to feed properly. Mom's hearing aids were never kept charged and on numerous occasions were found unplugged. The day of death the 3 nurses were refusing to allow us in even though we had Hospice/end of life. Rules were state that this is from the govener. Nurses stated they contacted Hospice yet when I contacted hospice this was not true. Stated they could not get her meds but would use it from their emergency kit. Were told that visiting hours ends at 7pm reguardless. Do0 patients NOT die from 7pm to 8am? My mom passed away with only a hospice nurse with her on a Saturday. No one from the nursing facility has contacted me even to inform of death or to even state.. I'm sorry, I have contacted Administration on Monday and I have to make arrangements to pick up her belongings. I will not recommend this place

Crystal River Health and Rehabilitation Center has been fantastic and I haven't had any problems at all. The staff takes care of all of Mom's needs. They call me about anything that’s changed or anything that’s going on. They are very informative and very kind to her. They're doing a great job. They have quite a few doctors there, and it's quite big. Mom's in a shared room.

Staff is phenomenal but overworked. Patient to staff ratio is unrealistic. Management is consistently unavailable. Patients do not get a lot of hands on care time.

Mom is in Crystal River Rehab. The rooms were fine and small. The staff keep you well aware of how the patients are doing. They have open areas and grounds.

My mother is in Crystal Rehab and Nursing. I chose it because I like the ratio of the people working there to the residents. I am really happy about it because I think it is well staffed, and they really seem to care about the residents. I will recommend them. They seem that they try to get the people involved in the activities. My mother has memory loss issues, and it seems like they have a lot of experience with it.

We have my mother in Crystal River Health & Rehabilitation Center. She has been here since August. So far, so good. There is no complaint as to their service. She is there because of her dementia and because my father passed away. She has health issues. They do physical therapy and several things. They are doing pretty good.

My mother has been there for a year and a half now. Everyone is really nice except when it comes down to getting something taken care of. It took going back a second time and taking pictures of my mother's room. When they first brought us there, they kind of misrepresented themselves. They brought us to this beautiful room with wood floors and new furniture, a big screen TV, an automatic bed, and everything. My mom wasn't on Medicaid or anything. When I got back there, she was at the back of the bus with ripped up doors and beds that were not automatic. It just felt dirty everywhere. It was pretty sad. I took pictures of the place. I had my sister call, and she talked to the management. She asked why my mom is in this room when we were showed a different room that she was going to stay in. My mom wasn't being checked often. She is not a complainer and doesn't say "hey I'm wet" or "I went to the bathroom." She had a bedsore. When I had a big meeting and showed the main guy all the pictures because I had proof, they moved my mother the next day in the section where she should have been to begin with. They did do something I think because I was taking pictures. I think they are friendly when they want to be, and then they turn around as you say something. They are guarding themselves up. We are moving her out of there as soon as we can. We are putting her in a new home. The care for my mom wasn't up to par. They have bingo and dancing, and they bring someone in once a week to sing. There is a pastor that comes in that is really nice, and he gets everybody together. The food is awful. My mom was on a liquid diet. What they did was they'll put like too much food in front of her, and they open it all up. It all goes to waste. I wouldn't say the food is good.

My wife was at Crystal River Health and Rehabilitation Center. Besides her dementia, my wife fell a lot and they pretty much watched out for that all the time. My wife also had eczema and her skin itched all the time. There were times when they gave her the pill at 4 o'clock and the next time they said it was at 5 o'clock, and another time at 9 o'clock. Then one night, she asked for the pill and the staff said she had to order that pill, the patients did not order pills. So, the staff were not very knowledgeable. She was in a locked down area. She was the only one who could hold a conversation so she had nobody to talk to. The other residents just mumbled ot looked at the floor. So that's why I visit her everyday. The facility was clean but the staff they hired was more important. They had the same people for 2-3 days and all of a sudden another crew would be there and they did not know what was going on. It was constantly rotating. I thought that there were understaffed.
