Everything at Washington Rehabilitation is fine, and the staff is excellent. The food has been very good based on what I have seen. It’s very clean. My sister’s room is basic but could be larger.

The nurses refused to give my mother her medications, left her in pain for days. They didn’t help her to the bathroom, left her in bed to pee in a diaper for three days. She didn’t get showered for nearly a week, didn’t get the physical therapy they were billing for for nearly a week, and was left for hours without being checked on. Social services tried to discharge her without the necessary equipment and then tried to bill me for their failure to discharge her on time.

Washington Rehabilitation had a very good rating, it was really clean, and I heard a lot of good things about it. Everybody is very good with my mom; she is a difficult person, but they are great with her. Everybody knows her name, they always greet her and talk to her, and she is doing really well there. It’s very clean place, and they even have a library. They have a lady that comes to visit. They have very few places; there’s a place for smokers outside, and another side that’s non-smokers. She was able to plant flowers, and she complains sometimes about the food.

I would have wanted to know more about how they picked the caregivers because some of them just don"t care for the residents like they were their family members. The residents should be dry and cared for as they would want to be treated themselves no matter how many family members are there or not. I also think they should have enough caregivers to do there jobs properly and not depend on a few to do it all. You should not have to call someone all the time to do the things that need doing or pulling someone out of the hallways to help you do their work for them.
