We chose Brookdale Pointe West for my husband because they had a lovely facility, it was available, all memory care, and all on one floor. I would definitely recommend them. He has been doing very well there, and the workers were very caring and very thoughtful. I really like it. The staff is excellent. They just need to look at doing more finger food instead of the food that you need to eat with a fork and spoon because it's harder on the adult population there.

This community is very neglected, as are the residents. My father died of covid here which should have been prevented.Every time my mom went to visit him which was daily he always was dirty and his depends were always full of urine. Once you get stuck here it's hard to get out and go else where. My mother constantly told the Executive Director about her concerns but she acted like my mother was nagging her. Now he has passed in this facility after only 5 months.

The tour at Brookdale Pointe West was very nice and the director was really pleasant, patient, and knowledgeable. Both my sister and I were impressed with the facility and all the things that they were doing, specifically for the patients. If we're going to move our mother to Florida, we would definitely put her there. There ere are different dining rooms to feed them: one is for severe, and one for those with mild memory care issues. The rooms look nice and the outside facility and courtyard look really good. I like that. It was nice, clean, and didn't smell. It is also updated. We only met one staff member, which was the director. She was great, and she sent us home with some muffins.

The first time I went to Brookdale Pointe West, I went there alone, and then my wife and I went together. I was impressed with the place. It is a small complex that only has 32 apartments. They stressed Clare Bridge, which is apparently something they do for each resident. Each resident will go through six activities a day that are specifically designed for that person. They take great pains in knowing about the history of that person, what he or she has done in their lives, and it sounded like something really worthwhile. It's small and well designed. Everything revolves around an atrium in the middle. There are recreational rooms, dining rooms, seating rooms, and then apartments that are all off of this center area. The rooms are a good size with good-sized baths but no showers. It's for safety reasons not to have showers in the rooms in the memory care place. Outside, they had a little enclosed walkway, which was the only part that I found not terribly attractive. Nevertheless, the place was very clean. We were also given lunch in a private dining room, and the lunch was very good and well served, and the person that showed us around was very knowledgeable, too.

I wish I could give a negative rating, they don't deserve 1 star. This place looks great when you walk in, but beware of leaving your loved one here! They don't change their depends, Every time I went in to check on my mom her depend weighed 10 pounds, guess thats why she had such a bad UTI it turned septis. O, not to mention that after I had been out of town for a trip only to return to my mom smelling so badly, I ask a nurse to check her chart to tell me when she was showered last...12 days!!!What!!! Many times I was in and her sheets smelled liked urine, I took them home with me to clean after that happening to many times. I only left my mom in here 2 months, that was 2 months to long. She passed away 2 weeks after I got her home. I regret so much every putting her in here! DO NOT put your loved one in this place!

Brookdale Pointe West was a really nice place. The staff was great. The facility was expensive though. Their rooms were good. They're spacious. The food and the dining facility were good too. They have arts and crafts, song, church, and scrapbooking. Overall, the caring nature of the staff stood out to me.

Clare Bridge was about a mile and a half from my mom's house. It was a very clean facility. They staff was very professional and sincere to the client. They had given us so much time to get to know my dad and my mom and her situation. I was very impressed with them.

We were familiar with Claire Bridge as we had gone there often. It was close to where we lived. We knew people who were staying there. The rooms were nice. The people at Claire Bridge were the ones that stand out to us and the place really impressed us a lot.

My dad lived here until he passed away. He was originaly in a facility that did not understand Alheimers. He was happy living at Clare Bridge. I especially appreciated how there was an RN on duty 24 hours a day, that there was very low staff turnover and how all the staff knew my dad by name and talked and 'joked' with him, which he loved. The food was excellent and they always treated him iwth respect and dignity. Large public area. Lots of roo. And they would go out on the bus regularly. And there are less than 50 residents, so lots of personalized care.

I visited this facility to see my grandfather who had dimentia. He was cared for very well and the staff looked after him very closely, but developed a relationship with him that was very important to him and to us. His room was clean and organized. The facility was clean and did not smell badly. The facility has plenty for the residents to do, including an in house barber shop.

After seeing the care provided here to my friend, I realized it was a lot better than the care provided to my father at a different facility in the same area. I now had a basis of comparison. I think that overall, it is a good place to put a loved one. Well maintained and clean, very little turnover of staff (although management was a different story) and some of the staff even went way over and above in caring for my friend.
