My sister lives at Brookdale in Bonita Springs, Florida and absolutely loves it. She is there on an independent contract but if she requires more assistance she can stay there and go to an assisted living contract. She gets 3 meals a day, laundry and cleaning that are included in her basic services. She enjoys all the activities, water aerobics, bingo, trivia, crafts and more.

I toured Brookdale Bonita Springs. What I saw wasn't so beautiful. It was stiff there. The people weren't friendly and warm. They didn't have as many craft activities, which I liked a lot. They had more activities that you didn't participate in, like you just sat and watched. They had music and different things, but not as many activities at all. The gal that took us on the tour was very nice. The layout of the building was OK.

It was a tough transition to have to move my mother into Assisted Living, but all the staff and management at Brookdale Bonita Springs made it as seamless as possible. She is very well cared for from nursing staff being on top of all of her medical issues, care services, many activities for her to make friends and a general sense of community. The building is recently updated with beautiful decor and the apartments are new and modern. The building is in a beautiful setting and is clean, safe and inviting for residents and guests. The value for what she receives also can’t be best. I would highly recommend this to anyone resident or family member having to move into this phase of life.

My 90 year old Mom is at Brookdale. She’s been there for 15 months. I cannot say ANYTHING negative. The staff and attention she receives daily goes above and beyond what I expected. It was a hard decision to make, but we are truly blessed to have found Brookdale.

My mom has been living here for the past two years living in her own apartment independently and has no complaints. Loves all the staff and participates in many of the activities. She loves that they drive them to church on Sunday. Everyone is very friendly and helpful.

Good caring people who truly want to help. I love the level and amount of activities they provide their residents with the goal of not staying in your room. The aging in place concept is nice so you are able to bring in additional care as your needs change. A great and convenient location as well. I Highly recommend it.

My mother has been a resident at Brookdale for almost 3 years. During that time she has had ups and downs, and her needs have changed accordingly. As a family, we too have had challenges that have affected our ability to intercede. Throughout all this time and changing circumstances, one thing is constant. The staff at Brookdale are loving, caring, and responsive to our needs and concerns. The facility is beautiful, first class. The activities director truly cares and is creative, fun and involved. There is a bistro/coffee cafe available to the residents and the server there has been extraordinarily caring and helpful to my mom… something she does out of love and not responsibility. The food servers have often showed extra love and care to my mom. The director, Patti, is an open door and an attentive, caring ear whenever I have reached out. I guess I just can’t say enough. I don’t know what we would do without Brookdale and I’m grateful.

Brookdale Bonita Springs did not have any outside patios in the apartments, but they had a courtyard. The lady that did the tour was wonderful. She spent a lot of time with us and she did a wonderful job. She was knowledgeable and was able to provide information about the location and what's around that area. It was lovely.

My first impression of Brookdale Bonita Springs was very positive. It was welcoming. I could tell the people were very positive. We saw people that were staying there, and they were engaging. About the staff who toured us, I don't even know that I can say enough good things about her. Her name was Mary, and she was a rock for us. There were a couple of different rooms that we were shown, and I remember that they seemed to be what we were looking for Dad. I just can't remember anything specific because it wasn't furnished yet and there was remodeling going on. We did not sample the food, but we saw the places where people were eating. It was positive. I didn't get into their activities, but people were talking with each other. There were areas where people were reading, and there were some areas where people had been working on puzzles and things like that.

I went to Brookdale Bonita Springs. While it was clean and it was nice, those rooms were much smaller. So I would not be interested in that. They do have a pool, but I didn't go out to it. I did see the dining area, and it was nice. I didn't see any kind of organized activity. There were some people playing cards, but I went there in the morning at 10:00, so it was probably early for a lot of people to be doing something like that. The staff seemed fine, I was taken around by one person.

I visited my friend at Brookdale Bonita Springs and I was favorably impressed. It was cheerful, and the living condition made me feel that I'd be happy there, and she was happy. I was impressed with the dining area when I had lunch there. I like her living quarters, they were bright and comfortable. It seemed like a place where I could move in and like it also. The staff was very pleasant, helpful, and nice. I enjoyed the food and I didn't find anything to complain about, it was buffet style and it was colorful. People were helpful and asked if I needed any assistance with my plate, or if they could get me additional food once I was sitting down. I'm sure that you can find anything you want to do there.

Brookdale Bonita Springs was a nice place. It's not what I expected. It's the first time that I've been to any of these places for older people. It's very clean. I expected it's like an old people's home, with walkers everywhere and old people staggering, but it wasn't like that. It was nice, updated, and had a friendly atmosphere. They've got super nice people that work there. I felt very welcomed and the lady that took us in was super nice, helpful, showed us around, and explained everything. It couldn't have been any better. If I was at that age and was looking for a place, I would go there. Everything is paid for and it had that condo feel more than old people's home feel. It's a super nice place.

Brookdale Bonita Springs was nice. There was some reconstruction going on. The people there seemed a bit older and sicker. There were more people in wheelchairs and walkers. The staff was very nice. All the rooms had like radiators and individual AC units in them. You couldn't sleep at night because the thing was blowing on you or making noise. They were more like motel rooms. It was a bit older and less modern.

Brookdale Bonita Springs had three meals a day, free cocktail parties, and free outdoor cooking and stuff -- and that really beat the other place I visited. The rooms were rather small, though. They had a bistro, and it was all free within the price that they gave me. Tammy was the salesperson, and she was very nice. The amenities were great. Their food plan was the best that I saw. They had bocce ball, clubs, exercise, water aerobics, outdoor parties, and entertainment outdoors on occasion. The place was under renovation.

We moved my mom from Michigan to Florida last March. We were so concerned about her adjustment but wanted to be closer to her. The staff at Brookdale were amazing. Not just caring for moms physical needs (which they do splendidly) but also caring for her emotional needs as well by helping her make friends and acclimate. They are responsive & caring. The facility is clean . We are so very pleased and grateful.

Brookdale Bonita Springs is very clean. They're very professional staff. I loved it immediately. As I walked in, they did a COVID test. They were very upfront and very open. It's a great facility. The staff members are very professional. The facility is beautiful. I actually told a friend of mine that once I need assisted living, that's where I want to live. It's very nice. I was there during dinner and the menu looked very nice. It's very good. The seniors looked very active and happy. I saw a couple of people doing puzzles and just socializing.

Brookdale Bonita Springs is the one that I like the best. It was affordable and small enough that Mom wouldn't get lost. The other places both were lovely, but more expensive and much too large. I was looking for a smaller place for her, and so this one was perfect. I think that's probably where I'll be going. I just have one more meeting with one of the directors just to kind of firm it up. Between price, size and location, it was just what I was looking for. The rooms were just perfect and just what we needed. The size was good. The bathroom was nice. The hallways were short, so Mom wouldn't have far to go for the dining room and so forth. I like the layout. The dining area was nice. The amenities available were all that Mom needed. She doesn't need much, so it would be sufficient for her. The staff was very informed. She knew exactly what I needed and showed me exactly what I wanted. I didn't have to really explain to her. I met two people, and they were very friendly.

Brookdale Bonita Springs was a very nice place and all of the people were also nice and everything; but it's so out of my price range that we can't consider it. The people were super, the amenities were great, and the facilities were top-notch. It was a top-notch experience just doing the tour. It's almost like a garden setting; it was beautiful in there. I don't like the basic location; it's close to a high traffic area. But outside of that, that's the only flaw I could find with it. Everything was first-rate except the price so I couldn't even consider it.

My mother liked Brookdale Bonita Springs. It's beautiful and they're currently renovating. It was not my favorite, but everything was new and freshly painted. They have beautiful grounds and it's right across from a mall. It's a little tiny street that they have to cross, so you can go to an outdoor shopping mall, and my mother liked that because she didn't feel like the facility would be her only life; she would have freedom. She liked the property and the neighborhood. The facility itself was very, very nice, and the people were good. Everything you needed was there. The apartments were all renovated, they were big, and they had plenty of choices. They had a single, a double, and even a little den in it. It was wonderful. They also had a movie room, a library which she was very interested in, exercise classes in the morning downstairs, and everything that she would be interested in. The staff member who toured was good. She showed us three or four apartments, and she was thorough and did everything that we asked her to.

Our experience with Brookdale Bonita Springs was very good. I only met one person, and she was the one that was trying to rent it to us. She was fine and doing her job. We saw a model room and it was beautiful, but small. We're used to much bigger living space and I kept wondering how am I gonna fit my things in here and I knew that I wouldn't be able to, so that would mean selling my furniture and getting new furniture. It was just a little bit overwhelming. The staff touched on the activities, but she was more concerned about renting it. The facility was very beautiful, but it was too big especially the downstairs area. My husband was weak and I wasn't getting around too well. I don't think we couldn't take care of each other in a place like that. Maintenance was great. They were in the process of redoing it, and it's not all finished yet. The part that I saw that was finished was fine. The other room wasn't as good as that, but everything was fine.

Brookdale Bonita Springs is really great. The place is very clean, and so far, everything has been fantastic. Once my mom went there she didn't want to see any other places. She thought it was great. Every staff member we have dealt with there has been fantastic and helpful. The food looked beautiful too. The people that had been staying there seemed friendly. My mom has not completely moved in yet, but we have spent some time there. Tomorrow she'll be completely moved in. So far, everything has been great. The calendar of activities looks fantastic. My mom has signed up for a whole bunch of stuff.

My mother is currently in Brookdale which is pleasant and very like other facilities providing the same service. The 2 star rating is because of the facility's response after hurricaine Irma. Communication with families was exceptionally poor. We brought our Mother out of the hurricaine zone then tried contacting Brookdale to determine return. The phone went to the answering machine. A message was left for the Director (one of 3 options). We had no idea what to do. Finally a week later the answering machine allowed me to speak with someone at the desk and I was informed they were open for business and hadn't evacuated. I understand my expectations are high but I also work in healthcare and I know with certainty administration would have made sure all family members were contacted even if personal cell phones were required to do so. Not prioritizing contacting families and providing an update by email, mail or cell makes me uneasy with Brookdale.

Great place! I felt extremely welcomed the minute I walked in and the staff (everyone from the front desk to the nurses) were beyond friendly, helpful and informative. Out of all of my options researched, my family feels strongly that this will be the very best care facility for our grandmother in the near future.

Mom is at Brookdale Bonita Springs. The place is great. It's nice and well kept, it's clean, and the people are great. I have no problem with the staff. They have therapy if you need it. They several activity rooms, and they have little groups and meetings around the place. They even have a group that helps come up with a menu for the food, and I think that's pretty nice. They're doing a great job as far as I'm concerned.

Brookdale was very nice, they had a swimming pool, and they had more activities. There was a lot of staff for the activities. It was more expensive, but it was probably worth it. However, it was expensive for my sister.

We selected Brookdale Bonita Springs; we're very pleased with it. The facility and people are wonderful, and we can't say one bad thing about it; we're very excited to get my mother-in-law there. The only reason we chose is the type of license that they had that we needed for my mother-in-law because she's on oxygen. I would recommend it. We like everything about it -- the amenities, the people and the activities that they do with the residents. I haven't tasted it, but I am very satisfied with the food that they're offering. The rooms were in a nice condition and definitely designed for people who are wheelchair-bound or in a walker. They're easy, manageable, and in very good condition.

I like the location of Brookdale Bonita Springs and the fact that they have two dining rooms that were flexible on mealtime. It was in a shopping area, so they have things for the clients to do. The rooms were very nice and very clean. They offered good service and very nice and helpful staff.

My friend has improved a lot since she went to Brookdale. They give out her medications at the same time every day and give her therapy quite often, and she’s improving quite a bit. They have a doctor that goes there, so they don’t have to worry about going out to visit him. They have housekeeping, which is good. The dining room is very nice with a menu they get to read and order from with five choices for meals. The food is good, and they have two sittings.

We went to Emeritus at Bonita Springs, and I really liked it there. I probably would have chosen it except they do not offer any memory care. I liked the location as it is very close to where I live. They were actually having an exercise class while we were there.

I love the setting at Emeritus. It has mature trees. There are plenty of covered portico spaces to sit outside and enjoy the sunset. We’re pleased with some of the staff. We’re pleased with some of the management, but have disagreements about the call button system. My husband and others wait for an hour or more before someone responds to a call, but we were told in our interview that it would be answered within 5 to 20 minutes. My husband has rung the bell hundreds of times, and either it’s a dead zone or they’re ignoring it. We find it very, very frustrating. My husband is able to move around on a scooter to the Promenade Mall just in front of the building, and he was able to go the Farmer’s Market on Saturday so it gives him a lot of opportunities. He participates in the chair-seated exercise group. They have it 6 mornings a week at 10:30am. They’re faithful about their weekly activities. They’ve opened a little store so that 3 days a week, people can go and buy dollar items or treasures they might like. He’s not a bingo person. He doesn’t play bridge. He doesn’t play poker, but those things are available so there are activities for 4 people. There’s a doctor there each Tuesday, and they have a dietitian and a hairdresser come in. They have churches provide pastoring on Thursday and Sunday. They do have a bus and they’ve taken scenic drives around Bonita Springs and up to Sun Harvest in Fort Myers. They had a longer trip to the Ringling Brothers Museum. They have a dinner club like dinner once a month that people can go out to a local spot. For someone in a wheelchair or someone who is weak, it’s hard because it’s a big place. Fortunately, his room is very close to the front lobby and to the physical therapy department. He has severe knee pain, and he has medication. Let’s say it should be given at 7, 1, and 7. The 7 o’clock pill might arrive at 8-8:30 so then they extend it out that many hours. One day they had such an erratic delivery schedule, the third pill came at midnight, and that is a very difficult thing to accept. He had some issues that he wants to talk about with the nurse but the nursing director is not as approachable as I would have hoped. Emeritus has a swimming pool, but it does not have a handicapped lift. It’s only for someone who can walk down the stairs. The layout is very wheelchair-friendly. It has very attractive lobbies and doors. Brookdale has taken over Emeritus, so the food has improved in quality. My husband has been pleased with the better quality of food at this point.

We went to Emeritus at Bonita Springs and we loved that one, it was really nice. We really liked the atmosphere; we saw that the residents were out and about and doing things, which showed that they were happy there. It is homey, and the staff was really kind. We chose Emeritus at Bonita Springs because it was closer to our home, so we would have easier access if my parents need any assistance. The rooms are actually fairly large; they're pretty good sized rooms. My parents are in a one-bedroom. The staff is fairly good, although I'm not thrilled with the dining room services. My parents are complaining that service is slow and food is not what it was when they moved in. In terms of activities, they have pool aerobics, cards, movies, things like that. My father-in-law plays poker. My mother-in-law goes to some of the music things that they have. Overall, the best thing about this one is to know that my parents are safe. However, they need to improve on the food and the service in the dining room.

Emeritus at Bonita Springs was too big; it was three stories and humongous, and they didn't seem to have any security. People can come in and get out of there. They have a back entrance and there was nobody at that entrance. There was that old people odor in the building the minute I walked in and that turned me off. The staff was able to address everything at that time; the person who took me around was very nice and very thorough and showed me everything, but I have almost made up my mind after I walked out of there. It was not the place for my husband. There's the huge size of the facility and the lack of security. I think they should have somebody stationed at that door.

We put my father-in-law at Emeritus. It was nice and close by. It is all great; we have nothing but good things to say about it. My father-in-law loves his food. There are a lot of things for them to do there; however, he doesn't like to do any of them. There is swimming and they have a workout room. The residents looked happy and they seemed to be in good moods.

My husband is settled at Emeritus of Bonita Springs. He is doing quite well there. He is finding it to be quite satisfactory and he hasn't had any complaints. My first impression was that they were very good. We chose this because at the time, they had the room that I needed on the first floor. When something came available, they followed up immediately and the call came in exactly when I needed it. We did our negotiation and everything went fine. My husband was in there within four days because he was being discharged from the other place. The staff was very helpful to me. I believe my husband is satisfied with them too. He has been very satisfied with the care that is given. He feels that it is a good fit for his needs and he is becoming more independent since he has been there, which I'm very happy for. He has a studio apartment which we furnished ourselves. He has a hospital bed and a lift chair and he has his wheelchair there. The room is spacious enough to accommodate him and his needs. He does not complain about the food at all. He says it's very good. I have eaten there myself twice and it was very good. They have several activities and you can choose to join in or decline as you wish. They have several people coming in to entertain them, so it has been very nice.

They treat mom very well and she is very satisfied at Emeritus. They come get her and bang on the door in time so she doesn't miss her lunch or dinner. The girls who distribute the medication are always precise and on time. If there's more medication we need, they have it there on the spot. They have a lovely dining room. The people are nice and there are lots of activities.

I also looked at Emeritus at Bonita Springs and it was kind of shaded and I didn't felt warm when I visited there. It wasn't bad, but I didn't see the activities. I believe that it's important in a facility to be bright so that the residents would have the energy.

I visited Emeritus at Bonita Springs and the place was very nice, very attractive and very modern. It felt like a home, more like a natural environment, but they were not able to accommodate the needs of my brother because he is a diabetic and he is just 58. They are very expensive. If they had been able to accommodate us, we probably would have accepted it.

I have visited Emeritus at Bonita Springs five or six times in the last few years. With each of my visits, the staff has always been courteous, professional and friendly to my grandmother and my family. They always have a smile or "hello" as we pass by in the hallway. The facility itself is very clean and attractive, as well as the entire property. The apartments I have seen are nicely-sized and have all the amenities she needs (full kitchen, washer/dryer). My grandmother talks often about how well she is treated there and about how much she likes the friends she has made there. The facility is located conveniently close to my parent's house, and is near a large shopping area. The dining rooms are spacious, and the food selection looks great to me, though my grandmother is extremely picky with food and doesn't seem to like any of the options. They also have a large pool on the property, but I haven't seen it up close yet. Overall, I've been very pleased with my visits so far.
