My grandmother has just moved into Brookdale Wekiwa Springs. She hasn't been there very long, but so far, they're very welcoming. Her room is nice and a great size. I saw the dining room, and they have a beautiful courtyard out back. I think the meals are fine; she hasn't complained. Excellent communication. They have a beauty shop, but I haven't seen it. The building is well maintained and there's plenty of parking.

We toured Brookdale Wekiwa Springs. The lighting in the restaurant area where the residents go to eat seemed kind of dim to me, maybe a little more lighting or whatever. We spoke with the director. My oldest daughter went with me. We toured a couple of the rooms. One was just like a studio room and the other one was like a one-bedroom. She was able to answer questions and she gave us more information about the kinds of activities that they have for their residents. They served us lunch.

I liked that Brookdale Wekiwa Springs had a lot more freedom because you can drive and take care of your apartment and all that kind of stuff. The staff was just friendly and helpful. It's just that for independent living, it was harder for them to get down to use all the facilities, but they have everything you need.

We saw assisted living at Brookdale Wekiwa Springs, but the staff said they also have memory care. I liked everything. It was nice and clean. The rooms were private. I saw a studio apartment. I toured the dining area and the hallways. They had photos of retired military people. They have several retired military residents there. The person that showed me the place was very nice and answered any questions that I had. The dining area was spacious and clean. It was an elegant place. There was a beauty parlor/salon.

I loved Brookdale Wekiwa Springs. It was welcoming and very homey, even though they were doing some renovations at the time. It was something that we'll look into when the time comes for my mom to actually move into a senior living place. The amenities looked very nice and very well put together. The staff was very kind, very considerate, and very attentive.

Brookdale Wekiwa Springs was very nice. The rooms were small but very nice. The food looked good. It seemed like a clean, well-kept place. They have an outdoor area, but I didn't I didn't see much. They had some gym equipment and libraries. The residents were friendly. The staff was friendly.

The facility is everything and more for an 86 year old very independent grandma. The price for everything received is well worth it. Love that it’s behind all the crazy traffic and main roads and allows for pretty walking scenery. If there’s any situation that needs to be addressed one of the many people can help you get it taken care of. The chef is more then accommodating to her needs by asking if the food is up to her liking. These are all just a few of the great qualities that they carry! Activities are being added which are a plus and we love that I can bring my daughter to the facility to spend time and enjoy the activities as well I mean after all that’s why we chose to move her closer to us.

My mother-in-law has moved into Brookdale Wekiwa Springs. The staff is friendly. It's neat and clean, and the patients look to be well cared for. Her room is a little bit tight when you're trying to get two people in there, but it's still adequate. It has its own bathroom, and the bathroom is wide enough to get a walker or a wheelchair in. They have amenities, too. They bring in a doctor for their medical appointments, they do nail and hair care, they take field trips, and they bring care animals in there. Value for money is good. We checked out another one and they had a sliding scale where if her care got more, the price went up, but with Brookdale, the price stays the same.

The took walked us around Brookdale Wekiwa Springs. He was nice, but he really didn't have a whole lot of answers on everything and they only had two-bedroom homes instead of one- bedroom homes. However it's a small community, so it's easier for them to keep track of who you are and what you need. The place itself was nice. We were impressed with it. It was just a little too pricey for us.

I went to Brookdale Wekiwa Springs. It was nice. The only thing is they don't have stoves in their facility. My parents still like to cook so that was an issue. But they have villas. It almost looks like an apartment, but with a garage and a full kitchen, and it was very spacious, and it was nice. That's more of their independent living, so I like that. They have a whole bunch of activities. I only met with one person, and she seemed nice though. They have a salon onsite, they have a library, and they have a game room. Their staff was nice. They have an outside place where you can go.

Brookdale Wekiwa Springs was nice, but my mother needed a little bit more assistance. The person during the visit was very professional, very nice and very informative. The dining area was an open area, and it was quite nice.

Upon entering Brookdale Wekiwa Springs, we were greeted with a smile and saw many smiling faces in the common space. We noticed a staff member having a cup of coffee and sharing conversations with some residents, and a cook from the kitchen participating with another group of residents building puzzles. Many seem engaged. Our first impression was positive, and it felt like we had enetered the family room of one of our homes. There is a cozy feeling and an inviting environment. Throughout the time we were there, we were greeted by many staff members, identified by there name badges. Unfortunately, there weren’t many activities at the time of our visit, there were things listed on the schedule, but we didn’t see any of them taking place. The apartments we saw felt very spacious and we enjoyed learning about Brookdales Optimum Care philosophy. We look forward to having our mom become a resident at Welisha Springs

My mother has moved into Brookdale Wekiwa Springs. The activities are about average. Her room is a very small efficiency room. My mom is not physically able to do a whole lot of activities. She is not a fun, loving, or giving person, so there is not really a whole lot I can say about the place other than that it is just like the rest of them. They're pretty much the same. People are just doing their jobs because they have to make a living. You pay a lot of money for this place, but you get minimum service. They're only cleaning the room, but that isn't enough, so if you want more, you have to pay more. The staff is about average.

Brookdale Wekiwa Springs had cottages that we were interested in and we did go through and visit one of the available ones. They were exceptional in size and met our needs. They were all updated and had modern appliances. The staff was excellent and very knowledgeable. The gentleman I spoke to was very friendly. He even took us to one of the occupied facilities to see what one would look like furnished. Our lunch was very good, but the portions were a little bit smaller than we would have liked. They had a Wii station on the second floor, a gym, and a pool.

Brookdale was a very nice, very friendly, and warm facility, but it was beyond our budget. The rooms and common areas were very nice. They served three meals a day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was homey.

I like Brookdale Wekiwa Springs, but they had too many add-ons. The staff were wonderful and very accommodating. The place was clean and very nice. They have a lot of entertainment, which is very nice.

When we moved into Brookdale Wekiwa, we stayed in a cottage and liked it a lot. Because of our health, we had to move into the main building into a very small apartment. It is kind of tight, but we are getting along. They have a schedule of activities that you can follow or not follow that changes every week a little, so you just follow that schedule and pick the activities that you want to be in. They serve three meals a day, but we only eat the one evening meal. The staff is sometimes not very helpful; I think they can do a better job.

I didn’t like our leader in Brookdale Wekiwa Springs, and I am a very talkative person. The staff is very good, but they need some training. Our director here is fine, but he has been in service for 25 years and is running the place like he wants to run and owns it. It’s a good place to be when you don’t have a place to go; it’s not very good over here. We have cottages. I live in one, and they don’t keep it repaired and painted like they should. The food is not so good not so bad sometimes. It is in a good location with shopping centers in the area and CVS store right at the road. We did have a lot of activities until the new recreation person came in; we’re complaining we don’t have enough to do because she is not planning the work that should be done.

The staff at Brookdale Wekiwa Springs is great. The area and the facility are very nice. They just did a renovation, so it's very appealing aesthetically. The living quarters are very nice with very nice, large bathrooms. My room is large enough for me to fit a bed, a sofa with a coffee table, and an oriental rug under it. I have a curio cabinet and a small kitchen area with a refrigerator. The food is not as good as it used to be. They have very good recreations and a very nice activity director who comes in and greets me very often.

My mom is at Brookdale Wekiwa Springs. It is a nice place. They are redoing it and giving it a face lift. It is looking very good. The workers are good. It is a memory care facility, so they bring the food to the residents. I am satisfied with their care.

Brookdale Wekiwa Springs had really wonderful cottages, but the food needed a lot of help. The staff was very helpful and very pleasant. They were in the process of going through some renovations, which made things a little confusing, but they handled everything very professionally. They're very close to everything, and it was very homey. I would recommend it as long people are looking for cottages.

I looked at the cottages in Brookdale Wekiwa Springs, and they were very nice. I really liked them. The price was a little higher than what I know I could afford at this time, but I wanted to see what their definition of cottage was, and they actually reminded me of the townhouses some time in Illinois. I met a couple of staff members, and they were very friendly. The prices were way more than what I was thinking, but they were very spacious.

Brookdale Wekiwa Springs is nice but a little pricey for my brother's situation. It is very nice. You come into the lobby, and there is a dining room off to the right, a nice looking library, and a television area. The staff that I talked to all seem to be good. It is really the only place I looked at, but I thought the rooms were nice, clean, and well cared for. The staff that I talked to seemed competent and caring. It has a memory center with it so that if a person needed that sort of care like Dementia or Alzheimer's, they can transition and be in the same place.

I thought Brookdale Wekiwa Springs was fine. It looked like a nice place. It is very nice and clean. It has a good surrounding and a good environment. It looks very nice, and they have a lot of programs and good facilities. What they said is that they have a lot of good services, but my mother didn't go there. We didn't eat there, but the menu looked good. The dining area looked very nice. The room was nicely decorated, and it was clean. It has a nice feeling and spacious. Nothing impresses my mother, but I thought it had very good social interactions.

Brookdale Wekiwa Springs was an old facility. The dining area was small. The food was just OK. The staff was very friendly. The assisted living facilities were very small, and if you get to the point where you need a lot of help, you do not get much room. It is way smaller than other places. They do have independent living which is a separate unit that I would love to be in because it was 12,000 square feet. It has a garage with a garage door and screened in porch. They had a wonderful director who showed us around.

The people were very nice and very helpful. The place was not nearly as nice as where they are now which is now Brookdale. I have tried the food, and I have to say that the food at Brookdale is probably a lot better.

I thought it looked really nice on the outside and I think the people who were not memory care patients probably did well, but I found the memory care unit to be really dark and kind of low feeling, and closed in; it was just not open and spacious. The rooms were small and it was dark and dingy in there; it just didn’t feel like I wouldn’t have been able to be happy there. They had a small space outside, and their dining room is very tiny.

I moved mom in last September. The facility is alright and I like the fact that they have activities for my mom. They have exercises, they go out for a walk, and they also play bingo. They have people there that are dedicated for what they were doing and there are others just for paycheck. She's in a shared room and I think it could be a little bit better. I chose this facility because of its proximity.

This is the facility that I really like the best. My mother has Alzheimer's and I did like the fact that they did keep them out of the general public. I also like that they are in the area of the building that is just for Alzheimer's patient. They have rooms where you could have two people in and they also have single rooms.
