My father is in Brookdale Hockessin. I like that it's very small and there aren't a whole lot of residents. It's very well kept and very clean. The people are all very, very personable. I was able to be there and talk with some residents, and they all told me how much they liked it and everything else, so that was really important to me. The amenities are very good. They've got a lot of craft activities and things like that when COVID isn't around. It hasn't been too easy right now with COVID and everything else that's been going on. They are a little bit on the expensive side, but no more than any of the others. They're really wonderful.

I toured Brookdale Hockessin. The person who gave me the tour was very good. My objection to that, I think it seems like there were no gatherings of the residents. Everybody was in their rooms, which were quite small. The facility was clean and freshly painted. There was a very little outdoor area there that was accessible for people who were not so mobile.

Brookdale Hockessin was a very nice facility. The lobby area was beautiful. They had a lovely sitting area. There were beautiful ornaments on the walls, paintings, and wall art. They had an aquarium upstairs. They had a little bird sanctuary inside. Everything was lovely. They had a nice library. They had activities for the residents, such as bingo, painting, scrabble, word games, puzzles, and pool tables. They had a lovely dining area that was decorated according to different times of the year. I enjoyed my tour with Genevieve and one other person on their staff. They were wonderful, professional, and courteous. They showed me their caregiving station where their nurses and assistants were settled. I felt very comfortable there. I think that the staff and the residents I encountered there were all very happy. Some residents were sitting outside on the patio or by the front door. Others were taking their walks. They had clear pathways to gazebos there.

Brookdale Hockessin had a very friendly staff and a very pleasant atmosphere. The place seemed clean and welcoming. The rooms seemed up to date. They have a barber shop, a salon, whirlpool pool baths that people could take advantage of, and activities. It was smaller, but it had a nice community-type atmosphere.

I went to Brookdale Hockessin. The facility looked nice. The director that I met was very nice. I think her name was Betsy, but when it would come down to pricing, it was just out of my father's budget, so that was really the main reason that I didn't go any further with them, it didn't meet his budget. All they had was the assistant living, they didn't have memory care, and I think at some point that's really what he's going to need. They take your temperature as soon as you enter and you have to sanitize your hands, so they seem to be in line with every other facility or public area that you would go in.

The tour at Brookdale Hockessin was very nice, it's a great experience. They did a very thorough tour. The staff who gave the tour was very friendly, as were all the other staff and the residents. They were all much more interactive than anyplace else I had visited. The facility is very, very nice, it is smaller and more boutique. The location is a little difficult to get to because from where we were, there were lots of small, windy roads. I spoke to several residents there, and they seemed all very happy and willing to talk and encourage anybody looking for someplace to move for assisted living there. They weren't set up by the person taking me around, they were all just people who were there sitting in the public areas and willing to talk.

Brookdale Hockessin is a smaller location, and they didn't really have as many things to offer as I saw in other places. I met with the director and he was very, very nice. I actually had several conversations with him over the phone and it was informative. It's an older building. It's very small, and they didn't have the physical activities that I thought would be appropriate for my mother. She likes to walk outside, and she likes to use gym equipment. Everyone I saw was pretty physically incapacitated. It seems very clean, and it seemed to be appropriate for the residents who were living there.

My father is at Brookdale Hockessin. I was able to virtually and physically tour the place briefly. It looks like a Savannah Manor House. It's very nice and clean. It has nice people. They've been very good and responsive, so I have no issues with anything going on there, but we can't really visit just yet.

Brookdale Hockessin is working well for me right now. The staff members seem to be doing OK. I'm OK with it, too. The room is nice. My mom doesn't like the food. Also she would like to go out more. They have arts class and exercise games. They give them wine or whatever they want, but she is not a drinker.

I would not recommend this facility because of lack of care and follow through. The facility could use a good cleaning as well. The admin staff is just interested in numbers and dollars. I was promised they knew how to care for my loved one and in reality the staff didn't know. You would think it would be a good place as it is in Hockessin, but it was not a good experience for us. I moved them out and found a place that is much better. If they tell you they have a special going on - beware. They say you have to sign up the month before they move in to get discounts, but they charge you for those days in the previous month when you have not stepped foot in the facility so in reality, you are not getting the discount they try to sell you. Some activities are run by the residents or residents family - not very professional. There are better places in Delaware.

Our visit to Brookdale Hockessin was not very nice. The place was alright, except first thing I couldn't get in the door. There was an employee sitting there waiting for someone to come and let us in because she didn't have a key. When I got inside, there was nobody in the lobby at the reception desk. I scheduled ahead of time, but when we went up to the office they knew nothing about it. It was confusing. They didn't seem very organized.

I visited the community the other day since I am looking for a community for my Grandmom. It was a small community with a family like feel. I toured with the sales manager, Lisa. She was very helpful and informative. All the staff members that I came in contact with were very friendly and greeted me. The rooms are smaller but was just the perfect size. The shower in the bathroom was perfect and had a bench that could be down or lifted if not needed.

Brookdale Hockessin (formerly Windsor Place) was bright, clean, and well lit with wide hallways. The room that I saw that would be available for my mother was spacious enough and brightly lit with lots of windows and had a lovely view. The staff was really accommodating and very caring. However, the cost was really prohibitive. I did speak at length with the marketing manager there who followed up with me. She was very knowledgeable having been in the industry for many years and worked at more than one facility. The staff had a real personal connection with the residents, particularly with the marketing director. She would speak with you on a first-name basis. Everyone greeted everyone else with courtesy.

My Sister and I visited this community this week. It has a very open space, front lobby area and the patients where in the middle of watching a live musical performance. The apartments when nice, roomy. The sales person Renee was really pushing the shared apartment, even though she said she a couple of apartments available. The apartment style that my sister and really wanted see, we where NEVER shown. Plus, Renee never introduced us to the varies employees that we saw in our tour. She would say "Hi" to them, but not acknowledge us during the tour. We felt that we where talked down at and we where wasting or taken up her time. Nice senior community, but attitude from management, not place for Mom.

Brookdale Hockessin is a very nice facility. The staff was very nice, and they gave us a complete tour. They were very helpful. Their rooms are just the right size. The whole place was very clean and very welcoming. They do have activities, and during our visit, they were having music.

I visited Windsor Place (Brookdale Hockessin). It wasn't really large; it was a small community. Because it was small, the breadth of service wasn't as great because there weren't as many residents there.

If you're looking for independent, assisted, and skilled, Windsor Place does not have all three levels. They were smaller than I was looking for for my dad. The staff was informative.

My friend has been in Windsor Place since September. She's very happy there. I don't live close, I'm a hour and a half away from there. I've been there several times and the people seemed very caring about each of their resident and Mary, in particular, is not as disabled as most of them but she's enjoying herself. It's one large room with a separate bathroom and she's quite comfortable and happy there. I haven't tried the food but she's not terribly happy with that but Mary is a very picky eater as long as I've known her so I really wouldn't judge the food by her. I know they do have activities every time I've been there. They've been either playing bingo or doing something with the residents. From what I've seen, it's clean and they clean her place. They do all the cleaning, they do all the laundry, they take care of pretty much everything. The price is a little bit higher than I had anticipated with what Mary's finances will be able to handle for a certain length of time. I still would recommend it to people, otherwise, I would be taking her out.

The facility on the outside seemed beautiful, but once on the inside it was a little directionless. Basically, it was hard to find your way around and no one seemed to be really interested in helping. It was as though they just assumed you knew where you were going, and that you'd find your way eventually. The food was alright, although the rooms were very dark inside.

The facility is a beautiful converted mansion on a gorgeous wooded lot in the heart of the Wilmington suburbs. The place has an old south feel and is very clean and well kept. There is adequate security at the main entrance to keep out any unwanted visitors and prevent any frisky residents from making a break for the road. The foyer is adorned with a large chandelier and old world staircase leading to the second floor. The staff however is not very approachable and there is no way of telling who is in charge. Throughout the tour there was an absence of any management presence which is very concerning considering this is supposed to be a top notch facility. The dining area is very nice and the food was really good, not normal institutional fare. The residents seemed well taken care of and in good spirits. The facility also had several sitting areas with flat screen televisions and numerous board games. There is also a quaint outside garden area which would be ideal for spring and summer visits with the family. Even though the residents are in need of regular care the place did not feel like a hospital or typical nursing home.

My grandfather resides at this residence currently, he has been there for a year and a half now. My grandfather as well as myself are very pleased with the accommodations that are available everyday. The food was much better than expected and the staff was amazingly friendly. If there are any questions that we need to have answered the staff will go out of their way to figure out the problem and come back in a timely manner with a response. Moreover, if you have a request ranging from food to extra pillows the staff will never be turned down of forgotten about. The furniture around the facility is as comfortable as in your own home, not to mention the cleanliness of the community areas as well as the individual rooms are well kept. I would highly recommend this as an option if you are looking for an assisted living facility.

I had quite an experience at Windsor Place retirement home. Everything there was past my expectations from the food I ate to the staff that cared for the elderly Possibly my favorite thing about Windsor Place was the delicious food prepared by the chefs who really really seemed to care a lot. I caught a word with one who said bringing food to the elderly actually brought her overwhelming joy. The staff was no different. Everything seems to be great and Windsor place. Everyone seems in their right place. Another thing i loved about the place was the cleanliness of it all. I was taken off guard when this more public place was easily twice as clean as my own home! The bathroom i used was magnificent as where the other rooms. The bedrooms were VERY nice. Everything in the joint was tastefully decorated to my pleasure.

This complex is very nice, even from the outside one can see that this is true. The building has an exceptionally grand entrance that leads one to believe that the inside is just as grand. However, this is not exactly the case. That is not to say that the facility is poorly constructed or managed, but it seems Windsor Place has a reputation it cannot live up to. Everything was basically just average throughout the facility. The cafeteria was nothing special, nor were rooms in which residents reside. All that said, the staff were all very helpful and nice. They certainly made up for some of the unexpected shortcomings of the complex.
