To whom it may concern I have experience in elderly care(volunteering) for the majority of my life. I’m 67 years old, and in 2019, just before the pandemic, I was asked to help an elderly friend (94 years old), to close his office and move him to Atria in Stamford. I visit several times a week to help as much as I can. Always amazing, sometimes challenging! All of the employees from the Executive Director, staff and residents all know me, most by first name, some by fist bumps. In their daily interaction with the residents, the Atria team are professional, responsible, and caring people that create a safe and enjoyable place to live. If you have a friend or relative in need of their services, I highly recommend contacting and visiting Atria in Stamford, Ct. Sincerely, Charles Round

The Atria Senior Living in Stamford has been a wonderful experience for my 90-year-old dad. After a difficult adjustment following my mother’s passing and his own cognitive and physical decline, the staff and administrators have been wonderful in helping him turn things around. He has regained much of his outgoing personality, his memory loss has stabilized, and he’s even put on some weight. I’m incredibly grateful for how warmly he’s been welcomed into the community.

My mom was looking for an independent atmosphere where she could take care of herself, but be supported if needed. The staff at the Stamford Atria have been absolutely wonderful to my Mom and keep me informed when needed. My mom is more active now than she has been in many years. The apartment is perfect, clean, sunny and well maintained. The meals are plentiful with many options and choices at all meals, as well as a Café for lunches . The Atria also has all amenities on site, an on call doctor, beautician, library, card rooms, outside terrace, as well as they will drive my mom to any and all appointments locally. I can say enough nice things about the Atria Stamford.

The people at Atria Stamford were very friendly. It was a nice residential area. The facilities were very appealing, but the add-ons for care were unexpectedly high priced. The staff was very responsive. She followed up and she was accommodating for the meeting. We were invited for lunch, but we haven't done that yet. The facility seemed to be very well taken care of. They had a library, a movie theater, a recreational area, and a bar, like a lounge bar or social area.

In the beginning of 2018 we brought Mom, then age 87, to Stamford Atria from Florida so she would be close to family. Mom started in Assisted Living where we were very happy with the compassion and enthusiasm of the senior management and staff, the number and quality of activities and the choice and quality of the food. Unfortunately, Mom developed dementia and needed to be moved to Memory Care. However, it was easy to do at Stamford Atria since it offers Independent, Assisted and Memory Care living. Senior management worked closely with the family to find the right solution for Mom. Mom moved to one of the two Memory Care floors where she has a nice sized room that is fully maintained by Atria Staff, including cleaning and laundry. There is also a community kitchen and dining room for meals and cooking activities. There is a nice area where many activities geared to the Memory Care community are offered including arts and crafts and bingo. There is also a nice living room area for TV and other community activities. Memory Care residents are also taken on weekly outings that cater to their pace. Mom is very comfortable at her Atria Stamford home and we, the family, are very thankful that we found Atria Stamford.

I toured Atria Stamford. It was OK. I didn't get to talk to enough people who live there. I would have liked to speak to more residents. The staff there was fine. I saw the dining room, media/game rooms, and activity rooms. I also saw two of their apartments. They were quite nice one bedrooms. We had lunch there. I had the special of the day, which was a salad. It was quite lovely. We didn't eat in the dining room. We ate in a private room which was OK.

Atria Stamford on 77 3rd Street is a wonderful place for elderly parents to live and get all the benefits of living a full life when they can no longer live safely on their own. The staff and faculty are superior to all that I looked at for Mom and Dad. The bedrooms are large and so is the living space so family can come visit and be comfortable. So many activities to part take in everyday. The staff is warm and friendly and very, very caring. Feel lucky we found my Mom and Dad a room when we needed it.

My mother is a current Atria resident and she loves living there. The facility is beautiful and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Mom has participated in many of the activities that are held daily. She participates in the exercise classes offered at Atria. My mother receives physical therapy regularly and it has been extremely helpful. She enjoys the rides to the supermarket and pharmacy that Atria provides. My mom really enjoys the tremendous selection of meal choices every day. She especially likes the 4:00 Happy Hour that Atria has for its residents.

I have been searching for an assisted living community for 5 weeks. I came upon Atria of Stamford, among 9 other properties. When entering the building, I felt a sense of calmness and, more importantly for me, cleanliness. I was greeted by a staff that expressed genuine concern for my well being. During my tour of the apartments and property, each time we walked by a resident, I was introduced and welcomed. The one thing that caught my eye was the fact that every single resident I encountered was extremely happy to be living there. Every apartment I was shown was immaculate and well lit. The entire property, from the library to the dining room to the gardens, was stunning and quite welcoming. If you are looking for a senior living residence, I urge you to, at the very least, schedule a tour at Atria of Stamford. You will not be disappointed.

My father is in Atria Stamford. It's very appealing, it's comforting, and everything's clean. His room is very big. I like the staff. They're very friendly, they seem to be helpful, and they seem to want the best for his care. When we went to take a look, they offered us a snack with cheese and some toasted bread, and some fruits and everything was good. I had a piece of carrot cake and it was delicious. I haven't seen any activities. He's only been there for two weeks. His room is a perfect size. It's way too big for him, but everything's set up nice. The bathroom is good, secure, and safe. It was less expensive than the other place. Comparatively, it's a great price.

I went to look at Atria Stamford. I looked at the two-bedroom apartments, and they were lovely. They were on a high floor and looked out over the city. They were really quite lovely. They have a gym, physical therapy, a nurse, and several eating facilities. They had a courtyard and a lovely garden that ran along one side of the building. The facility looked very clean. They changed their furniture since COVID. The staff was very lovely and very welcoming.

My mom has moved into Atria Stamford. They have been exceptional. Her transition to Atria was fantastic. They made sure that she had friends and people to eat with. The staff is very friendly and very supportive. She's very happy there. They go above and beyond, way above and beyond. The inside is beautiful. It's very well-maintained and very clean. My mom is a big opera buff, and they have a lot of scheduled lectures during the week and performances (not opera, but like piano recitals). She has been to opera lectures, and she goes to the movies there. She takes advantage of a lot of the programs they offer during the day, including some of the exercise programs. I think the food is only so-so (according to her). What I really want to point out what makes Atria exceptional is the staff. The director is there every day, he knows the people that live there. He knows the residents. For example, when my mother ended up staying at my house for dinner, they didn't know she was going to be at my house for dinner. Because I'm her contact, they called inquiring if I knew where she was and if she was OK. Everything they promised us, they've done, which I've been so impressed with. Rob and Wayne have been exceptional staff members. They just went so above and beyond with my mom and with my family.

I went to Atria Stamford. It's kind of tough because of COVID. When I was there, most of the residents were in their rooms and there was no communal eating in the cafeteria. Everyone was brought their meals up to their apartment. It was a nice place. The salesperson talked about the facility and what they do. She gave me a tour of a couple of the rooms and what they looked like. All the rooms were on the perimeter, so everyone had a view out their window and the elevator door in the center of each floor, which was pretty good. They even had a handrail over a banister around all the walls, so if someone needed a little help walking around the halls, they could hold on to the banister as if they were going up a flight of stairs. It was a nice facility, but they did not offer Medicaid rooms. It was more like an apartment building in downtown Stamford. They had one-bedrooms, two-bedrooms, and studios. I only viewed the assisted living section. The dining area was kind of nice. They have 24-hour snacks. They even have happy hour, where they serve alcohol, which may be a little dangerous. The only advantage of being up in Stamford was since we grew up in New York City, whoever of my mother's friends are still alive, they could come to visit her. It was clean. They had designated areas. They would have a salon and someone would come in when people would make appointments. They had a fitness room, a library for reading, a game room where you could do puzzles, and an area to watch TV. The unfortunate thing was when I went at the beginning of January, I saw two residents because everyone was in their room. The staff was attentive and courteous. Everyone that I passed by said hello. The facility looked pretty good and well kept.

I was never so impressed, during the process of locating a place for my Mom. As soon as I drove in the parking lot, entered to doors...I felt this feeling of vibrancy and love. It started with the consigliere, sales director and each staff and resident along the visit. WOW. To top it off, the Executive Director stopped in and helped "seal the deal." I was so impressed with his passion and knowledge. I am so happy I decided to visit this Community and more happy that my Mom loves it there. Amazing apartment sizes, staff, food, activities and Leadership. The place is clearly well run

Living at Atria Stamford has been a joy. The needs and requests of the residents are a acknowledged and addressed promptly. The staff is friendly, helpful, warm, compassionate and hard working. During the COVID lockdown, the staff made certain that even though we were separated we were never lonely. Our health was constantly monitored with multiple daily temperature checks and weekly COVID tests. Now that we are back to a new normal, there are a wide variety of activities to choose from such as a daily movie, canasta, mah jongg, book club, bingo, religious services and one day university. There is also a very tranquil and relaxing garden where you can just sit and enjoy the sunshine. I feel very fortunate that I am able to live and enjoy all that Atria Stamford has to offer.

The staff at Atria Stamford has been very nice and very kind. My relative is in the memory care section and we have an aide from an outside agency coming in to watch him 24 hours a day. They have activities to keep the residents busy like arts and crafts, bingo, and they have a library where they read and get books on their own. There's a snack bar where the residents can just go and get snacks, and they also do exercise and therapy. The staff is superb, and with all that's going on they still have a smile on their faces. The food is unreal, and the place itself is spotless; it's very clean. Their activities are great, and they take the residents out for a ride on the bus and drive around or to wherever they're going and bring them back. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. Most of the rooms have a view overlooking Stamford, which is fantastic. You walk in, and the girl, Joy, in the back who answers the phone says hello. They seem to know everyone else's names. I met the nurse, the program director, and assistant director, and when they see you they always ask how you are. They're very warm.

My visit to Atria Stamford was excellent. They were very thorough in showing us around, then we had an excellent lunch. They spent a lot of time giving us all the facts and all the details. We saw three rooms that were available, and they explained things. We found the place to be very friendly, the people who live there seemed to be interactive with each and with the staff. The staff everywhere was friendly, always speaking to everybody in the halls as they walk by. We were very impressed with it. It seemed clean, and they just renovated it so at that time there was construction going on but now it's all done. They showed us the library, a room where they have music, a theater, and there are quite a few places for interaction. The only drawback I saw is that logistically since they're very conveniently located at downtown Stamford. It has a very small garden outside off to the side, so it doesn't have a lot of space if people wanted to go outside for a stroll. It's a very urban setting, and I would like more greenery around. That's not to say that the place is less than great, and it's very conveniently located since its downtown. It's an apartment building and functions more like a hotel setting like you go in and there's a lobby. It's not really spread out, and everything is above the lobby. The decor is a little fancy.

Atria Stamford is more of an open place, but they do have a memory care section, which is very good. If I had to pick a place, Atria Stamford is probably one that I would pick for myself. I brought my wife down there at one point when we were making choices, and I was surprised at what their response was. They wouldn't accept her. It is a building of about nine floors, and the residents go up and down in the elevator. We felt like she would get confused by the elevator. Nevertheless, their food was better, and they have more activities. It was also clean and cheerful.

I liked everything about Atria Stamford. It was clean, homey, and well run. The staff member who assisted me during the tour was knowledgeable. The dining area looked modern and clean. They have painting classes, puzzles, news reading and current events, music, and religion. The only thing missing is smoking areas.

The services and amenities at Atria Stamford are great, and they're taking good care of my dad in the memory care unit. They give him a lot of attention. The surroundings are beautiful, like a luxury hotel. It's a really nice place. I really couldn't ask for more. I don't have to worry about anything, and I'm happy about that. My dad has been there for about a month and a half.

Atria is a high level luxury place, and they have two meals a day. My friend had a beautiful apartment with a terrace that overlooked their swimming pool -- an excellent place. The help and the service were excellent. He was very lucky to be in there. They have live concerts, movies, and excellent speakers.

My mom moved into the Life Guidance memory care part of Atria in Stamford about two months ago. It is perfect for her. All of the staff, led by the wonderful Felicia, are excellent and caring. The food is very good. I feel that mom is well taken care of, and I have much more peace of mind.

I visited Atria Stamford, but my mom is not ready yet. It's great. The staff is good. Everything is fine, but she is just not ready to move in yet. They had lots of activities; many things, many times a day. The dining room is very nice. The place is very clean. That is where she is going if she has to go. It is perfect for us.

Somebody from Caring.com recommended that I go and see Atria Stamford. The visit was very good, 100% positive. It was an awesome facility. The staff that showed me around explained what they offer and it was really nice. Their rooms I thought were great. It wasn't spacious but my parents don't need a very big spot, so the size was just perfect for both of them. They have a very nice dining room where all the residents eat together. Also this facility offer quite a bit of activities like arts and crafts and different games. They have a shuttle van that would take them to different places. The most appealing aspect of it is it's location. My parents would like to stay here in Stamford.

Our 93-year-old father has been living at Atria for 6 months. We could not be more pleased with the quality of care he is receiving. The receptionist, nurse, engaged living director, social worker, dining room personnel, and housekeeping staff are genuinely kind, respectful, caring, and friendly. They attend to activities of daily living, take care of his medical needs, and ensure pleasant companionship. We cannot overestimate our appreciation of Atria. It gives peace of mind to our father's five children. We recommend Atria with no reservations.

Paying over $9,000 a month for bad care, inattentive staff, neglect of resident. You name it. Unless you stand there and complain they do nothing. General feeling is that majority of staff are busy socializing as opposed to working. Really a disgrace for the amount of money paid.
